Get ready for family fun and relaxation at the Fox Den at Riverbend, a gated community with two private lakes and a white sand beach! Enjoy the feel of a forest retreat just minutes away from the convenience of town. Make this three-bedroom, two-bathroom cabin in the popular Riverbend gated community your home base for endless adventures in beautiful Lake Lure, North Carolina, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The cabin offers two separate living areas ā€“ one upstairs and one downstairs ā€“ giving you plenty of room to spread out. The main level features a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table and a seating area. Youā€™ll also find two bedrooms ā€“ one of which offers access to the upper deck through sliding glass doors ā€“ and a spacious bathroom with a tub. The main bedroom also has a small desk, creating a convenient, private office space if you need to do a bit of work while on vacation. Downstairs, enjoy a large family room and a gaming area with a brand-new foosball table, a Pac-Man arcade game and a wide selection of games and puzzles. Thereā€™s a large bathroom with a shower, as well as a bedroom with bunk beds that the kids will love. This bedroom also offers deck access through a sliding glass door. Every bedroom has its own TV equipped with a Roku connection, and we have reliable wi-fi for all your devices. There are additional TVs in the upper and lower living room areas. Off the downstairs bedroom, youā€™ll find a large, fully equipped laundry room/storage room with beach towels, beach toys, a corn hole game and ladder golf. A driveway leads to an electric vehicle charging station, if requested.

There are plenty of welcoming outdoor spaces, as well. Gather ā€™round the wood-burning fire pit to make sā€™mores and tell stories, or grill burgers for the whole family on the huge lower deck. The wraparound upper deck offers the perfect setting for a sunrise cup of coffee. Have a dip in the jacuzzi just off the lower deck.

Youā€™ll love the peace and quiet of the Riverbend community, as well as its popular amenities. Riverbend features access to two lakes, a river, a scenic nature trail and a large pavilion.

Great little house in a nice wooded area. We really enjoyed are stay! The only hiccups we had were that the house still needed cleaning when we arrived at check in (host was very responsive and took care of it right away) and that the property has a 15-40 outlet for EV charging, not a J-1772 charger like was pictured in the listing (it's bring your own charger). Trash drop off when leaving was at the gatehouse across the road. Everything else was great and as listed. It's just a short trip from the property to get to the nearest grocery store (Ingles).

Amazing Cabin!!

This cabin is so nice and clean, and it's well stocked. The host is very responsive. The deck is fabulous, the view is amazing and the game room provides an amazing place to hang out. We didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!

plenty of space, nice deck and hot tub

we enjoyed our stay. manager/owner was easy to get in touch with for any issues. front gate is a little frustrating, but we were only there for 2 nights and by the time we figured it out, we had to leave. this is no reflection on the house/owner but as of our stay (late march 2025) there is not much to do in town except eat. most trails/waterfalls are still closed. we had to drive a ways away to find a 2nd hiking trail for day #2. house was wonderful, woud stay again. neighborhood quiet.

We had such a relaxing time. It was just what we needed. The place is so well laid out. It was a quick drive to the Lake Lure and all its attraction. We had great meal out. Then sat on the back porch and watch a movie. Can wait to go back. The host have done a wonderful job with this place.

Our family (including the dog) had a great October visit to this cabin. Our kids loved the hot tub and the numerous games. TVs worked well. Furniture was comfortable. We made S'mores in the fire pit (bought a bundle of firewood from nearby Ingles). The community is quiet. The top level porch has gates so the dog could roam freely while we enjoyed morning coffee. Bottom deck (hot tub level) is an open. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, crock pot, and enough pots & pans. Coffee maker is a Keurig. Grill worked well. House was very clean.There are fox decorations throughout the house and the kids loved finding them and counting them.Lake Lure is drawn down until late Spring 2026 but there was still plenty to do and it felt good to support businesses affected by Helene. We dined at nearby Canoe and Lake House restaurants; both overlooking the lake. Chimney Rock Park was a short drive away. In addition to the climb to Chimney Rock, you can hike to the beautiful Hickory Nut Falls from the park. Chimney Rock Village is mostly open with many shops and restaurants. We also visited Black Mountain (about an hour away). This was a good location for exploring around the Asheville area.

Great location

The cabin was wonderful. A lot of fun for the kids with games and bunk beds for them. The deck was large and a lovely wooded view. Quiet and relaxing. A few minutes drive down to Lake Lure and local restaurants. Well stocked kitchen and hot tub/lake towels were provided as well as outdoor Games. Clean, relaxing and fun, would highly recommend. Stone steps up to cabin from the driveway were a bit slippery when it rains and dumpster for trash at check out was difficult to find. Other than that it was perfect!

We loved this rental. We absolutely would like to visit again. The game room area is so nice with young children. They have a baby gate already installed at the top of the steps, great for kids and dogs. I will say the steps to the downstairs are a bit steep, so you need to take them a little slower and watch kids. The hot tub was very clean and was actually hot/in good repair. For kids they also have a pack n play, booster seat, and kids bed rail, which saved us needing to pack these items! We loved spending time on the deck outside as well.When we arrived all of the linens were wet. The beds were made with wet linens and all the towels were hung wet. It was clear that they were all clean, but had not been dried properly at all. I ended up spending three hours our first night there stripping the beds and towels, drying them, and remaking beds. I immediately informed the host of the problem, but was only offered a "sorry" to remedy the problem. No help drying the linens, making 3 beds during my vacation, or any kind of refund for the first night.I also found that the sliding door in the master bedroom upstairs did not lock. This made me feel very unsafe as a mother staying alone with my young children. I wish they had locking bars on all the sliding doors, there are 3 sets.Overall, the rental was wonderful and we hope to stay during another gorgeous fall weekend. The area is great. Don't let the idea of damage from hurricane helene deter you! There is much to offer!

We are from Columbia, SC and love being a VRBO host!

We've designed this space for the adults to be upstairs, and the kiddos downstairs. Upstairs you'll find the kitchen and seating for 8 around the table with comfortable couches, the leather one is my favorite! Downstairs, the games, foosball, and pac-man retro game for the kids to enjoy.

Need to the dog to stay in a certain place? We've thought of that too, there's a baby gate at the top of the stairs that easily retracts. We love family time and we want you to bring Fido, because they are part of the family too! .

We love to hike, we love going to the beach, located right in Riverbend. We find we rarely go to the Lake Lure beach because we have our own beach that's free and just a short drive/walk away.

Restaurants in Lake Lure are fantastic, we've included recommendations in the booklet on the kitchen table.

Hope you find our place relaxing and fun, we've put in a lot of work to the Fox Den so you can have the best vacation in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Riverbend is a popular neighborhood that is secure and has some fantastic amenities. Having access to your own white sand beach on a lake with breathtaking views of the mountains is truly wonderful.

You also have access to the Broad River and all it has to offer as well.

Hiking through the neighborhood is really fun as well, if offers some great views of the mountains.

This home is made for your family to spend time together. We've got you set up with a wonderful stone fire pit for roasting marshmallows and looking at the stars.

The big deck is perfect for a reunion picnic dinner and the gas grill is tapped into our own large tank, so you don't have to worry about getting fuel!

The jacuzzi is perfect after a long hike. The downstairs game room is ready to keep the kids occupied during a rainy day.

Just to be a little quirky, we've added a multitude of foxes in our art throughout the cabin "Fox Den", see if you can count how many!
