Once an old abandoned house for over 16 years, we found this house in the verge of collapsing and the home owner could not maintain the house due to financial burdens. So we went ahead to renovate the house for free and create income stream for the home owner. Made with Love and upcycled material and of course a bunch of new fittings such as AC, new toilet and a new bathroom.
When you first arrive, you might be surprised by the rugged, authentic exterior we’ve chosen to keep. But step inside and you’ll discover a modern, studio-style space, carefully renovated to today’s standards. Watch out for the low wooden beams, especially if you’re over 170cm! And be mindful of Amami’s wildlife—snakes are more active at night, so pls stay safe!
The outdoor area is still a work in progress, so please use it cautiously and at your own risk. However, the space by the entrance is safe and perfect for a BBQ!
