Unique coastal holiday house in a magical, park-like setting
A charming rural retreat, set on 1 acre, close to the Sandy Point beach and Shallow Inlet. This home has a lovely, relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. A true local favourite.
The brick, split-level dwelling contains on the lower level: a loungeroom, dining room, kitchen/family room and laundry. The lounge has comfortable couches, a double-sided wood heater, 40-inch TV and reverse cycle air conditioner. The dining room, which seats 8, has a bar and bar fridge. The kitchen contains a refrigerator/freezer, a coffee machine, stove with electric oven and gas cook top, dishwasher and microwave. The family room has a wood heater and another TV. There is a beautiful outdoor dining area just outside the kitchen/family room that looks over the gently undulating land.
There are four bedrooms and three bathrooms on the upper level (including the ensuite). The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and the ensuite. The second bedroom has a king-sized bed. The third bedroom has a set of single bunks and 2 single beds. The fourth bedroom has a double bed. The main bathroom is located opposite the third bedroom.
The laundry has a washing machine and there is an outside shower to rinse the sand off before heading inside. There is also a Weber Family Q BBQ.
The house is well-stocked with books, toys and games and a basketball ring with backboard outside. There are often koalas around, so keep an eye and ear out for them, (they sound a lot like a grunting pig) as well as wombats, echidnas and birdlife.
Pets are allowed, so bring your well-behaved pets along with you, but remember, whilst your fur babies are allowed inside and outside, they are not permitted in the bedrooms. Whilst the yard is fully fenced, it is NOT secure.
Please be aware that this is a family holiday home, not purpose-built rental accommodation. We have renovated the kitchen and bathrooms, but there are still some areas to be tackled.
The house is not walking distance from the beach.
Smoking is NOT permitted inside the property.

- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
