This stay raised serious health and safety concerns and should not be advertised in its condition.
The unit had non-functioning air conditioning during extreme heat, visible black mold, no reliable hot water, and poor ventilation. Because the property is street level, the only ventilation was via large sliding doors, which had to remain open due to the heat, resulting in significant mosquito exposure and an unsafe overnight environment.
These issues were reported immediately and repeatedly to the management company, but no meaningful action was taken beyond apologies and assurances. The problems remained unresolved.
Due to the ongoing conditions and lack of response, I was forced to escalate the matter to Expedia, who became involved and advised that I leave the property and be moved elsewhere for safety reasons.
Based on my experience, this accommodation did not meet basic habitability standards and I would not recommend it.
