About this property
Oars n Smores A place to call yours.
Time and Place
A place where you are free. a place where you belong. a place to unwind, to recharge, to feel one with nature. a time to reflect, a time spent with family, friends, creating memories that will last a life time. a place to call yours. the greatest time of your life...
The Cottage
Built in the mid 70's, this Rustic 3 bedroom bungalow is situated on the north side of Galla Lake in the heart of Georgian Bay. On its perch the cottage looks to the south of this secluded oasis . With all day sun, long stretches of glass like water and gorgeous views of tall pines, its like art without the canvas. Whether on the dock for sun and fun or on the deck for a glass of wine and a quiet read, there is something here for everyone.
The Lake
Located in the Township of Georgian Bay and the District of Muskoka, Galla lake is located less than 2 hours from Toronto to the North. With only 40 cottages on the lake and Fifty-percent of its shoreline being Crown Land, it is very private and secluded. Having a surface area of 43.3 hectares makes this lake great for a quiet paddle, a quick rip, or a blast on the tube.
Waterfront and Swimming
With approx. 150' of shoreline and a lovely sandy beach area off to right of dock with shallow entry, it is ideal for the kids. With a gradual slope from the beach it is approx 4' deep at the end of the dock. Perfect for cannon balls and dock starts.
Something For Everyone
As a seasonal road access cottage your are close to everything. Within a half hours in either direction you can be in Mactier, Bala, Port Carling, Honey Harbour And Parry Sound for some of muskokas finest scenery, boating, food, shopping, entertainment, and golfing.
There are also several good, year-round trails that are accessible from the lake and connect into other nearby lakes for great ATVing and snowmoniling. All of the cottages on this lake have seasonal road-access and in the winter there is easy access to the OFSC Trail system which make this a popular winter destination as well.
