Thank you DeeDee! Deedee came out and greeted us immediately and baked homemade blueberry muffins. The house was conveniently located to downtown & the Park. The house was also very clean and had everything accessory wise you would need. Was also a very safe area! Plenty of pillows, blankets & towels. Would definitely stay there again! Thanks DeeDee!

This was our fifth vacation rental in Bar Harbor and was by far the best. Dee Dee was an outstanding host. She was very friendly, informative, and highly responsive. The attached rental house was spotless with comfortable furniture and beds, excellent water pressure, virtually instant hot water, and the kitchen was nicely equipped. The location is near perfect in Bar Harbor. It’s quick 5 min walk to downtown and the grocery store. To can easily get to Acadia without going through downtown. The house is on a wide street, a rarity in Bar Harbor with plenty of off street parking. Thank you Dee Dee. We will be back!!!

a gorgeous apartment in an amazing region

The apartment is large, very confortable in a very quiet neighborhood. The location is optimal to discover the Acadia NP. The apartment fully correspond to the photos and the given description. The place was super clean. The location couldn’t be beat, just blocks from downtown. Dee Dee the Owner was a delight. All her recommendations were spot on. I would stay here again.

Perfect for two couples. Very clean, comfortable, well stocked with towels and cleaning supplies (dish soap, shampoo, etc.) Owner lives next door and is very friendly and available for questions. Short walk to the Village Green. we walked everywhere.

A true “home away from home”

We absolutely loved our stay. We were so impressed with how clean the house was upon arrival, and how well equipped it was overall. Beds are comfortable, which made a huge difference! A true home away from home. Home-like comfort with hotel-grade amenities. The location is the best. A short walk distance to the main streets of town. Dee Dee was so kind to check on us from time to time and see if we needed anything. So lovely to talk to and gave us a lot of tips and recommendations as well. We were so lucky to have found this house! My toddler has already asked many times if we could go back to Dee Dee’s house! We can’t wait to stay here again!

Great location for downtown and the park!

This place is great for many reasons, but a key one is that you can walk to the waterfront and all the businesses in downtown Bar Harbor and never have to pay to park. The street the house is on also goes right into Acadia if you drive away from town. Everywhere we went in the park was about 15 minutes by our rental car. We were 2 couples without kids, so the two bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us. There is a grill and deck out back, too.

Ideal location

Great two bedroom unit that’s part of a duplex. The unit was very comfortable with everything we needed. Plenty of bedding, well stocked kitchen which we used to do a decent amount of cooking, even some games and books; my family learned how to do sudoku puzzles from a puzzle book shared in the living room. While the unit itself is clean and very comfortable, the real major feature is the outstanding location. It’s located on a quiet street, but you’re right next to the main shopping and attraction area of Bar Harbor. All of the shops and restaurants are a short walk, and it’s not much further to the waterfront, shore path, and the sandbar walk to Bar Island. The Island Explorer shuttle bus hub is less than 1/4 mile down the street, making it really easy to get around Acadia without having to drive in and deal with parking. Dee Dee is a great host and made our visit easy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re visiting Acadia.

Bar Harbor Paradise

From start to finish, we had an outstanding experience in Bar Harbor staying at this VRBO property. Dee Dee, the owner made us feel welcome and reached out in advance to help facilitate local questions and with trip planning - as she has been a life long Bar Harbor resident, she helped point us to plan best spots in the local area + practical places like the grocery store. Once we got to Bar Harbor, she greeted us and even brought over fresh baked cookies for our family and kids - like meeting a relative! The property was just right for our family of 5 (2 bedrooms w/ a bed in each + a cot + 2 bathrooms), yet immaculately maintained with thoughtful small touches throughout to make the stay pleasant (eg, in the kitchen, linens, coffee, furniture layout and even local travel books, menus, Netflix for a rainy day etc. Dee Dee was also available as needed throughout our stay. We had a memorable stay and can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay in Bar Harbor!

We had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor and Acadia and this property was perfect for our visit! It is an easy walk to Bar Harbor and a short drive to many spots in Acadia. The property is spacious and was very comfortable for our family of four. We hope to visit again in the future and would definitely stay at this property again!

Perfect property

This place is the best! Location is only minutes from Acadia and walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor. DeeDee is so nice and helpful! And the property was clean and well stocked for our needs. My family had the best time here!

Great location for an in town stay in Bar Harbor

This is a great location, with easy access to everything in Bar Harbor, along with quick access to Acadia. The place is extremely clean and quiet. DeeDee is an excellent host that provides quick responses and ensures that you have everything you need. She topped it off by bringing us a blueberry pie on day two that was amazing. Definitely would stay here again.

Great location, great owner

Location of the property was great, away from town but close enough to walk everywhere and forget about parking. House was very clean and had all we needed DeeDee was a terrific hostess and helped with our issues and needs. Definitely will be back!!

Perfect Family Stay in Bar Harbor

This was our second stay at DeeDee’s place and our experience was just as great as our first. Cleanest property we’ve ever stayed in, spacious for my husband, I and our 3 children and close to everything. A very short drive to Acadia and you can walk to all of the restaurants and shopping in town. The house is very well equipped and updated. The place to stay in Bar Harbor!! You will not be disapppointed!

As always we had such a great time! The house is a perfect size for our family and very clean and comfortable. We have stayed here for 6 years and cannot imagine a Bar Harbor vacation without DeeDee!!

Well appointed rental in great location

It's always hard to pick a place to stay in a place you've never been. This place was great! The location is so convenient - walking distance to town with all the shops/restaurants/harbor where boat tour leave as well as the grocery store and the path to walk over the sand bar to the island at low tide. The house itself had everything we needed. As much as I don't like doing chores on vacation, having the washer/dryer available to do laundry was extremely helpful and allowed us to pack lighter. The kitchen had all the small appliances you could need and having the keurig with pods was a nice touch. I have 2 preteen/teenagers and they didn't want to share a bed, so we asked for the cot, which worked out well. Both said it was comfortable and while it makes it a little tight in the bedroom, we weren't spending that much time at home/in the rooms so it worked out fine. Also, having the air conditioning was nice. While the weather overall was way cooler that where we live, there were some afternoons where it would get warm upstairs and we could turn on the air conditioners in the bedrooms as needed. We didn't use the second shower, which is on the main floor (vs upstairs where the 2 bedrooms and other bathroom are), it was nice having a 2nd bathroom which was used more as a powder room. Dee Dee also gave us some sightseeing/activity suggestions, which I'm always happy to get! Internet worked great and there's even a roku with netflix and cable available. The only thing I would have preferred would be to have the dining table in the area with the living room/kitchen. It's on the enclosed porch, so it feels separated. But it is probably a personal preference. This rental is a quick easy drive to Acadia park entrance. Would definitely recommend!
