"This is a fantastic home...I stayed here for a week with 4 other friends, and everything about this home was absolutely perfect. Anything that you think you may need (no matter how niche) is here...The location is superb. It’s about 15 minutes away from a grocery store and 20 minutes away from Acadia’s most popular hikes.
Lastly, the house is beautiful. It’s surrounded by nature and wildlife and the interior is well-decorated.
We would definitely stay again and highly recommend the home to anyone who is looking." Allen S.

This delightful home creates a comfortable respite for your Acadia stay! Very close to major park entrances and Bar Harbor's village center, but privately situated to create a wooded sanctuary after a day of activity. With tasteful furnishings, an open layout plan, and roomy bedrooms, this is a wonderful spot for your next visit!

MAIN LEVEL: Ground floor entry from the driveway leads to stairs to access the main floor where you'll find a combined Living Room with flatscreen tv, Dining area, and large Kitchen with a center island and counter seating. Down a short hallway are three bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has Twin Beds, Bedroom 2 features a Queen, and Primary Bedroom 3 includes a Queen Bed and sliders to the front deck. (Fans are available for warmer days and the woodsy surroundings keep the house shaded). These three bedrooms share a Full Bath with a combined tub and shower and double vanity. (Note that a second Full Bath is on the Lower Level.)

LOWER LEVEL: Off the ground floor entry is a cozy den with a large-screened TV. Just beyond, a Full Bath with a combined tub and shower. A laundry area is also located on this level.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Sliders from the Living Room lead to a large, furnished elevated deck across the front of the house overlooking the backyard and surrounding woods. Woodland paths thread their way through the surrounding property providing short but sweet opportunities to wander the woods for birdwatching or simply enjoying the outdoors!

Pets are considered. Please send an inquiry with age, weight and breed. The pet fee is $200.

Family Vacation

The home is centrally located on the island and convenient to everything we wanted to do. Spacious, clean and very well appointed. We had a great stay!

We had a very pleasant stay, even saw a buck eating while enjoying our morning coffee on the deck! We did miss having AC with the temperature hotter than normal, but still a great place to stay. It is conveniently located to many places in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for our Acadia vacation. We loved being in the wooded area after the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The house was comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the twice a day deer visit to the apple tree.This is a definite return for us.

Bar Harbor vacation

The house was amazing. It was comfortable and very tastefully decorated. My husband is a big book guy, so we loved all the bookcases. It’s close enough to Bar Harbor and Acacia that we were able to do everything. We wanted very easily. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet, wooded location

Great location, close to Acadia and away from busy central Bar Harbor. Nice house in quiet setting with other houses nearby but not visible from the wooded property. Nice deck for parents with a yard space for kids to play. Watching all the different birds visit the bird feeders was a peaceful way to spend the morning before a short drive to our daily activities.

Our family of 3 generations and our dog stayed in this cozy home that was ideally located for our group. Less than 30 minutes from most of our hikes and 15 min from Bar Harbor. The house was remote to allow privacy with nice deck and yard for grand daughter and dog. We had deer come to feed on Apple tree in yard The house was very roomy with 2 living room spaces to allow for adults to watch sports while other relaxed and grand daughter played. The kitchen was huge and well equipped. The house was very clean and had every amenity. The hosts left a note with some blueberry wine and delicious preserves we used on our pancakes.We enjoyed our stay and would book again for future trips.

We are city people. Boston, NYC and Philadelphia and we came together in this beautiful home. It was all we could ask for. Very secluded but so close to everything. We drove to the visitor center each morning and jumped on the busses to take our hikes or drove into town and enjoyed Bar Harbor. All very easy from the house.The house had more than enough room. So well appointed, everything that we needed and just very comfortable. I don't think I ever slept so well in my life. Truly lovely hosts, on top of everything and there if needed. A 10 out of 10 for us. Thank you for opening your lovely home to us.

Your house was wonderful, lots of room, well stocked with everything you would need. So you are aware for future guests the upstairs bathroom the shower handle was VERY difficult to turn off and it remained a slight drip. The fan in the twin bedroom is not working. The blueberry wine and caramels were delicious, thank you.
