Our host was easy to communicate with and answered every question we had. The house is deceiving from the outside; the inside is quite spacious and would be able to accommodate more than the seven in our party. The beds were comfortable, the gas fireplace made it cozy and the distance to town was perfect. The house is close to Mt. Snow where we skied. There are lots of places to eat nearby. All in all a we had a great stay in West Dover.

Family Thanksgiving week at 48 Buckboard. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at this very well equipped house near Mt. Snow, VT. Host was super helpful and attentive both leading up to our stay and during it. House had 5 bedrooms and large common areas both upstairs and down. Kitchen had tons of dishes, pots-pans etc etc. we used the oven-stove to cook and warm our Turkey Day meals. Laundry facilities were very useful! Ubiquitous small artwork and/or decorations make the house feel very warm and comfortable. We would definitely consider a return visit to this lovely home.

Family ski house.

Loved the location!! House was spacious and clean. Kitchen is well stocked! Only disappointment was the non working fireplace, although most of the family didn’t mind. Thank you for a wonderful space to enjoy our family!

Fell in Love with Mt Snow

This house was perfect!! This was our first time to Mt Snow and we fell in love with the house and area. We traveled with adults and teenagers, so the layout was perfect. Kitchen and living room had plenty of space to eat together and watch football. Downstairs area was perfect for the kids to hang out in! Beds are super comfortable! Great, quiet neighborhood and so close to great restaurants. Only a short drive to the mountain! We can’t wait to come back next year!

Great ski house!

We really enjoyed our stay at this well-appointed, spacious Mt Snow home. The location was perfect - a quiet, beautiful neighborhood about 10 minutes from the mountain. We were 2 families (4 adults, 5 kids) and we had plenty of space to spread out. The photos don’t do this house justice! Layout was really nice for our party - 2 bedrooms downstairs (plus a futon in the den), 3 bedrooms upstairs, 1 full bathroom on each floor. Kitchen had everything we could need plus more. Large mudroom area made getting ski gear on and off much easier and more convenient. The house was clean and had lots of amenities (extra towels/linens, cleaning supplies, paper goods, etc). Owners were easy to work with and communicative. We would definitely return!

Winter Fun

Group of friends getting together for another, annual ski trip. Great location, right near Mount snow and all that west Dover has to offer. The driveway was quite icy/slippery. if you don’t have a 4WD vehicle, I’d recommend avoiding this spot during the winter time, especially with ice. As advertised, the paths were not well shoveled when we first arrived, but that was something we were able to accommodate and knew we were getting ourselves into that situation. Joe is very responsive and was able to assist us with a minor check-in issue and early check-in. Unfortunately late checkout didn’t work out for us but due to unforeseen circumstances, which on certain can’t blame the host for. Overall a great experience and would returb.

Just Like Home

This was a first for my family as we usually do beach vacations, and this did not disappoint. The owner was communicative and helpful. We got fresh snow the day we arrived and the plow was timely and frequent for both the driveway and the road. The mountain was less then 8 min away which was great! There was more then enough space to accommodate the 7 adults and 1 baby. The place was very clean and the views from the windows were amazing. We will definitely be revisiting this home next year for an even longer stay. We will be adding another baby next year and I am more then confident that this property will continue to be perfect for our growing family. Thank you for such a memorable trip, for welcoming our family and for allowing us to vacation with our three furry children. 10/10 highly recommend.

Wonderful Home

The home was more than we expected from the photos and very clean. The living room was large and was the location of many family conversations. The dining room and kitchen areas accommodated family meals of 10. We had 25 guests come and go over 3 weeks. The grill on the deck outside the kitchen was just a few feet from the dining areas. The lower level was great for sleeping, play area for kids and a place for quiet time if anyone needed it. The fit pit in the rear yard was a nightly location for songs, story telling and s'mores. Taking early morning coffee on the west deck was a delight for me. The owners are very attentive. They communicated with us prior to arrival and during our stay. We have prior VRBO rental experience in Pennsylvania, New York and Vermont. This was the finest. We hope to return to this house next Summer.

Ski house near Mt Snow

I recently stayed at this property for one week with my family (husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs) while skiing/snowboarding at Mt Snow. Upon our arrival, the house was clean and the check-in process was easy. The owners provided all the information we would need in a concise Google doc before we arrived so we really didn't have any unanswered questions. There was more than enough space, good WiFi, and access to several entertainment apps (my daughter particularly enjoyed bingeing the Harry Potter movies on HBO Max). Our 17-month-old is a bit of a nightmare at restaurants, so we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen every day easily. The yard is large and backs onto a heavily wooded area, perfect for our dogs to stretch their legs. The road through the neighborhood is wide and not heavily traveled so walking/running was quite safe. It snowed during our stay and the plow company employed by the owners came by several times so we had no trouble getting our non-4 wheel drive cars out of the driveway even in the middle of a storm. Definitely a great ski house. Would stay there again.

Magical return to Vermont

This year we decided to surprise our family with Thanksgiving in Vermont. Mt Snow was our home mountain where we skied in our youth so we were anxious to share this beautiful area with our children and grandchildren. This home in Dover, Vermont was beyond anything we could have imagined. It was so beautiful and spacious. The kitchen was huge and so easy to cook our feast in. There was every convenience! The beds were so comfortable and everyone enjoyed a restful nights sleep. We ate and played board games at the spacious dining room table in front of the fireplace and watched movies together in the living room. There was also a beautiful lower level that provided even more areas to relax, sleep and entertain the kids! Our hosts alerted us that we would be arriving to snow and provided us everything that we needed.The kids were delighted! We explored many of the quaint shops along Route 100. We loved staying at the Malizia's home. The hosts are wonderful,caring people and we feel blessed to have had this special time together at their home. We would love to come back again!! Spacious home with great host

We rented this home in West Dover for an annual cousin ski weekend. There were 8 adults for our stay. The home is in a lovely neighborhood, with plenty of space between homes, so it felt quite private and secluded. The hosts were excellent and provided us with a great instruction packet with plenty of tips and tricks for how to manage things. They were also highly responsive, with great communication throughout our stay. The home is also dog friendly, which worked out very nicely for our group. There are a few items that need attention: the owners were clearly in the middle of some projects to so some upkeep on the house, the interior needed a new paint job, and the kitchen sink water pressure was poor (though we were forewarned about this). However, the layout worked out very well, with lots of space to spread out, and the bedroom configuration was very nice for our sized group. The gas fireplace was also a nice touch, which we enjoyed. The location was good – high up a hill above West Dover, and less than a 10-minute drive from Mount Snow. It snowed quite a lot while we were here, and although this added a few complications, the owners left shovels and gave us very specific instructions to prepare for this and the main part of the driveway was plowed out promptly.
