Great little house with private access. I appreciated all of the amenities provided … nice bath towels, bedding, full size fridge, dishes, pots/pans, spices, coffee, etc. I loved being three blocks from the town square and two blocks from Safeway.

The host Amy was very helpful and patient when we had an issue getting in. It was not her fault. I didn’t read the directions properly. We found a great restaurant in a short walk to the plaza. The location is great and very private. We will stay there again on our next visit to Arcata.

This cute cottage sits behind the main house, and you enter it through a one lane alley. It is decorated very nicely, was very clean and well supplied. The yard was nice - outside patio and a barbecue (we didn’t use). Nice flowers. It was quiet and close to a Safeway for groceries. We slept in the smaller bedroom as the bed was closer to the floor. It was comfy! Its location is perfect for exploring both North and South along this beautiful coast. Be aware though, that the gate you are required to open and close to park your car is very heavy! We are seniors, and found it very difficult to do. And you need good eyesight to do the combination lock. It’s also a narrow alley, and you need to be careful pulling in or backing out. We texted Amy regarding this when we checked out. The gate actually came off track while we were there and we had a struggle (found a board for leverage) to get it back on. She said she was going to look into making it better for her guests - so perhaps this will be taken care of soon.Otherwise, I recommend this cute place!

Lovely cottage walkable to town. Well stocked cute kitchen. Extra spices, olive oil, and coffee- making options and handy appliances were a nice touch. Comfy quiet rooms. A heavy gate into courtyard could be difficult for some to open.
