Welcome to our private, family-friendly lakefront cottage on Bear Lake, a peaceful retreat designed for families with kids. Relax, explore, and enjoy time together in a safe, beautiful lakeside setting.

About the Lake

Bear Lake is located in the Parry Sound District, between Algonquin Park and Georgian Bay. Free from light pollution, the night sky reveals countless stars, and on rare occasions, the Northern Lights. The lake is clean and clear, with calm waters, many bays, and small islands, perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. Anglers will enjoy the abundant bass, walleye, and pike. A public launch is available at the north end of the lake, while most of the shoreline remains quiet and private.

About the Property

General

The lake entry beside the dock features shallow water with a sandy bottom, ideal for children to wade and play safely, while adults relax and take in the view. As you go further out, the water deepens for swimming, paddling, or boating. One of the most beloved highlights is the sunset, which transforms the lake into a canvas of warm colors each evening — perfect for family gatherings and quiet reflection.

Indoor Relaxing

The cottage blends rustic charm with comfort: warm wood accents and cozy décor create an inviting atmosphere. An antique wood stove adds extra warmth after a day on the lake. The sunroom opens steps away from the water, and the fully equipped kitchen and open dining area provide everything you need for family meals. Drinking water is provided for convenience.
The cottage sleeps up to 8 guests in three bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens, 1 bunk bed), plus a pullout couch in the living room. Entertainment options include books, board games, video games, and an electric piano for quiet indoor fun.

Outdoor Spaces

Step onto the deck to enjoy meals at the patio table or a family BBQ, then gather around the firepit as the sun sets over the lake. Muskoka chairs along the shore and private dock offer the perfect spots to watch the sky change colors and soak in the tranquil waterfront.

Family Fun & Lake Adventures

Make the most of the lake with the provided canoe, kayaks, and paddle board (life jackets included). Children can play safely by the shallow sandy water with beach toys, or enjoy swings, while family-friendly games like ladder ball and cornhole offer fun for all ages. Indoors, books, the electric piano, and board games provide cozy entertainment for quieter moments.
