Guests enjoy exclusive use of the entire lower level, along with access to the stunning gardens, sparkling pool, and loft games area with pool table. Thoughtfully styled with relaxation in mind, from picnic-ready moments to cosy indoor dining, this retreat is ideal for romantic escapes, creative resets, mums’ weekends away, or quiet celebrations close to Stirling, Crafers and the best of the Hills.
Sheoak Sanctuary has been thoughtfully refreshed to enhance comfort and relaxation. Recent updates include carefully selected furnishings and amenities designed to support a calm, retreat-style stay.
SHARED PROPERTY & ACCESS:
Sheoak Sanctuary is located on a shared property with the owners, however the downstairs retreat and guest areas are clearly defined. Guest interactions are managed exclusively by the Managers, and guest privacy is respected at all times.
Access roads and the driveway are suitable for standard vehicles. Guests should take care when driving, particularly in wet or low-light conditions, as is typical in the Adelaide Hills.
TERMS & CONDITIONS (HOUSE RULES):
The Sheoak Sanctuary Terms & Conditions include all information provided via:
- The online listing
- Booking platform messages
- Digital or printed guest information
- Any other host-to-guest communication
By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this information. Failure to follow provided advice or instructions may result in liability for injury, loss or property damage.
For safety and security reasons, third-party bookings are not accepted.
GUEST NUMBERS & VISITORS:
Maximum occupancy is two (2) guests
Additional visitors are not permitted without prior approval
Parties, events or gatherings are strictly prohibited
This property is designed for quiet, respectful stays only.
WATER CONSERVATION:
The property is located in the Adelaide Hills where water conservation is important. Guests are asked to use water responsibly at all times to ensure continued comfort and sustainability for all occupants.
SMOKE ALARMS & FIRE SAFETY:
The retreat is fitted with smoke alarms for guest safety.
If an alarm is activated:
- Attend to the cause if safe to do so
- Ventilate the area
Notify Managers if assistance is required
Candles are not permitted outside (indoor use must be controlled).
Appliances must not be left unattended when in use.
SMOKE, HEAT & APPLIANCES:
Short-stay accommodation insurance does not cover damage caused by scorching, smouldering or smoke. This includes (but is not limited to):
- Candles or open flames
- Appliances left unattended
- Electric blankets left on unnecessarily
Guests must ensure all appliances are turned off when not in use.
POOL USE & SAFETY:
Pool use is at guests’ own risk
Daytime use only
No glass in or around the pool area
Follow all safety signage
Managers/Owners accept no liability for pool-related incidents
HOST / CONTRACTOR ACCESS:
From time to time, the owners or contractors may need access to parts of the property to carry out maintenance or garden works. Guests will be provided with reasonable notice where access is required, and efforts will be made to minimise any disruption.
BUSHFIRE AWARENESS & SAFETY:
Sheoak Sanctuary is located within the Adelaide Hills, a region that may be subject to bushfire risk, particularly between October and May.
Guests are encouraged to:
- Monitor local conditions via SA Country Fire Service (CFS), Bureau of Meteorology, or Alert SA
- Ensure their travel insurance covers bushfire-related events
- On days of Extreme or Catastrophic Fire Danger, guests may be required to delay arrival, depart early or seek alternative accommodation for safety reasons. Refunds, where applicable, will be handled in line with booking platform policies and circumstances at the time.
WANT A GREAT REVIEW AT DEPARTURE?
To help ensure a smooth departure:
- Respect check-in and check-out times
- Leave the space tidy and in a similar condition to arrival
- Turn off lights, appliances and heating/cooling
- Return furniture, kitchenware and amenities to their original location
- Dispose of rubbish as directed
- Report any damage or maintenance issues promptly
