The house is on a residential street with permanent tenants in the surrounding area, so we rent only to mature guests who will respect our neighbours. The house will be used for relaxation-style holidaying; loud parties are prohibited.

We chose this area because it offers that perfect balance of beachside relaxation and real local charm.
Tootgarook is one of the Mornington Peninsula’s quieter coastal pockets. You’re close enough to the action, but far enough away to truly unwind. Being just 900 metres from the beach means guests can walk down for a morning swim or sunset stroll without dealing with heavy traffic or packed foreshore areas.
It’s also incredibly family-friendly. Having Truemans Road Recreation Reserve just a short walk away is a huge bonus for guests travelling with kids, it gives them space to run, play and burn off energy while parents relax. The surrounding streets are mostly permanent residents, which keeps the atmosphere calm, safe and welcoming.
From here, guests can easily explore Rye, Blairgowrie and Sorrento, pop out to wineries, golf courses and hot springs, then return to a peaceful base at the end of the day.
In short, we chose this area because it delivers exactly what a coastal holiday should feel like: relaxed, safe, walkable and genuinely connected to the Peninsula lifestyle.
