We are a NM Safe Certified property.
Santa Fe Hobbit House is more than a place to stay: It is a DESTINATION! Gorgeous landscaping, private gardens and a waterfall (Seasonal) make it a veritable retreat atmosphere. Mosaic showers, inlaid wood, Faux walls, honed stone floors throughout the house gives it a 'Live-in Gallery' feel. Gourmet Kitchen, outdoor dining (Seasonal)
Two HD televisions, high speed internet and WiFi. Free TV movies and music.
A quiet but convenient neighborhood, yet close to all the Santa Fe attractions. Nearby restaurants, Clafoutis, Dulce and New Baking Company, Paper Dosa and Maria's New Mexican Kitchen. Trader Joe's, drug store, Body for yoga and massage one block away. The Santa Fe Plaza is a short 1.4 miles away, 0.7 miles to the Railyard Park District and 1.7 miles to Canyon Road.

The 10/10 reviews you see are accurate! The detail and unique design of this house had us in awe every day we were there! The hosts were more than helpful, always answered promptly and had very clear instructions of how to take care of the property. I love it didn’t smell like animals and that it had a long mirror and luggage holders. (Both rare in Vrbo’s) we would definitely stay again and recommend.

We had the best time at this cozy gorgeous cottage. This was the cleanest VRBO I have ever seen. Like sparkling. Great location, safe neighborhood and close to everything. Well equipped kitchen with everything we could need. The home itself is just beautiful and the artistry of the mosaics and detail of the woodwork was outstanding. I would love to stay here again.

From the moment we walked in the door the Hobbit House was the perfect stay. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bathrooms were outstanding and the beds were comfortable. Everything worked as described. We had the best time and will book again when we come back to Santa Fe.

One of the most beautiful, unique, amazing properties I’ve ever stayed in. The detail in the tile and woodwork were nothing short than gorgeous. We loved the outside area in the back and the water feature. The house was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. We really appreciated the welcoming details like the bag of coffee and creamer left in the fridge for us. Awesome location for the hiking trails, but also enjoying downtown Santa Fe nearby restaurants.

It’s all been said before because this is such a special place. Superlatives are needed. We were lucky enough to meet owner Terry who is the artist who did the amazing woodwork, murals, mosaics, and more! The place is perfect but the location is also great.We enjoyed the Italian restaurant Andiamo and the Georgia O’Keefe museum. We thank you for this stay!

What a wonderful home and experience! We have stayed in dozens of VRBOs, resorts, and hotels throughout our lives, and this was by far the nicest, most unique, clean, and welcoming space we've ever stayed in. The artistry is so incredible that we spent much of our time wondering how the artisans could create such a beautiful structure. If this home is available for your next trip to Santa Fe, you must grab it. It was a fantastic week in a magical city.

The house was amazing and the deck and gardens were incredibly beautiful. The kitchen has everything you could ever need and is a delight to cook in. The house and living spaces are very comfortable and well lit. Trader Joe's and the best French cafe I have ever been to all super close! We loved our stay here. It is a solid 10 out of 10!

This is a beautiful, well appointed home. Whimsical, fun, and comfy, which reminded us of artistic homes in Spain. Getting to and from the Plaza, is quite easy, and we were always able to park, in the municipal lot. The back patio is so relaxing and a wonderful spot to start your day. I highly recommend this home for your Santa Fe getaway.

Beautiful house, continently located, comfortable, and within walking distance of the plaza and rail yard. We had a great time and very much enjoyed coffee on the back porch listening to the water feature and watching birds and humming birds come and go. Perfect for a home base to see the area. Great kitchen and a short distance from Trader Joe’s, making a meal or snack restock a snap. Thank you again to our hosts, the house was very clean, towels luxurious ,and comfortable linens.

Santa Fe Vacation

One word can describe this whole property. WOW! From the first time pulling into the driveway with landscaping that would rival any HGTV program to opening the front door and marveling at the unbelievable Southwest themed interior that was so clean, it really was unbelievable. The rooms had their own AC with remote controls that made comfort so enjoyable. The layout of the interior was well designed and there was convenience at every corner. This place also had extra bedding, sheets, and towels/wash rags that were not locked up as in other places that we have stayed at and even though they were not needed, we had access to these items. The bathrooms were an amazing sight to see. Amazing design and craftsmanship. But the surprise was outside the back door. A waterfall that was of magazine quality. The tranquil sound of running water filled the air and the well designed landscaping gave a view that was top of the charts. Our overall experience was definitely a 10 PLUS. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city life and get away, this place is for you. We know who we will contact when we make a return trip to Santa Fe NM.

This house is an artful masterpiece. From the moment you walk in, you can feel a peacefulness in your heart and soul. We have made several visits to the Hobbitt House and all have been memorable. There is so much to do in Santa Fe and a good way to start your day is take a walk to the Rose Garden and smell the flowers, then continue your walk to Clafoutis bakery for beignets to-go that you can eat on your back patio with your coffee while you watch the hummingbirds enjoying the trumpet vine.

We really enjoyed the house

We particularly enjoyed the patio and the backyard. The kitchen is well designed, and we cooked several dinners that we enjoyed on the patio. The bedrooms and other facilities accommodated my family perfectly.

If a place could get 6 stars, this would be it. The home is a complete work of art, everything custom made and charming, but so totally comfortable. And the backyard is a refuge in the city — we spent as much time in it as we could. Kitchen is extremely well-stocked and ready for use. Location was very convenient to all parts of Santa Fe, with good shopping and restaurants within a short walk. We would rank this among the top places we’ve ever stayed.

The Hobbit House is a great place to stay. The house is BEAUTIFUL and the gardens in the front and back yards are gorgeous. Attracts lots of birds and bunnies. This was our 4th stay at the hobbit house and we will definitely be back....

Mother's Day Weekend

This was the perfect place for Mother's Day with my mom and my adult daughter. We each had our own space and my mom in particular was spoiled rotten in the primary suite. She said it was the nicest place she has ever stayed and she has traveled the world!

My wife and I have lived in Santa Fe for the last 40 years and for the last 10, we have wanted to play 'host.' We bought a house in a key location, and for 5 years, I 'dolled it up' with an attempt to make it a 'live-in art gallery.' It was so fun, I now am doing more of this kind of work. Sheila came in with her green thumb, and designed and planted the landscaping, plus, she oversaw all the interior decoration and furnishings. Now we work together to get it ready for guests. We enjoy sharing the house with our guests.
