"Home From Away" Oceanfront Home Pouch Cove NFLD (year round)
100 year-old oceanfront year-round home in Pouch Cove with stunning views of shoreline, waves, cliffs.
Lovingly restored space with lots of natural light. Situated in the most easterly town in Canada, known as "the first to see the sunrise".
Go hiking or snowshoeing (the East Coast Trail is right outside the front door!), spot whales/icebergs, or simply relax on the deck.
A short drive from St. John’s and all its offerings. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, families, or a group of friends.

25min from city of St. John's

Other things to note
1. Please remember this is our beloved home away from home. Treat this space as you would your own home.
2. This home was built in 1920. We have lovingly restored and renovated the space; however, it has uneven floors, crooked walls and many imperfections that we have learned to embrace…we hope you can too!!
3. As you know, our home is on the ocean. With that comes constant moisture. Sooooo…you WILL see little crawlers called “sow bugs” as regular guests (they are actually land-dwelling crustaceans and are relatives of shrimp and crabs…not surprising seeing as we face the Atlantic!). They are harmless and do not bite/sting. It does NOT mean our home is unclean; these critters are a normal part of coastal life here in NFLD.
4. BE CAREFUL UPSTAIRS! The railing is VERY short, with widely spaced spindles. It is in keeping with the old saltbox style of home; however, DO NOT leave young children unattended upstairs. BE SAFE!!
5. The upstairs ceiling is only 6’3” in height! Again, this is in keeping with a typical early 1900s Newfoundland home. Please mind your head!
