Monterey Bay Suites is an oceanfront Myrtle Beach resort, offering luxurious suites with beautiful ocean views. This suite offers 2 queen beds in the bedroom, a full kitchen, bathroom, and separate living area. There is a full-size Murphy bed in the living room area. Enjoy a complimentary HOT deluxe breakfast served every morning. Monterey Bay offers a variety of water amenities, including an indoor/outdoor pool, indoor lazy river and hot tub. Or get closer to the sun with a splash in our rooftop pool and hot tub. Monterey Bay is conveniently located on the north end of Myrtle Beach, just a few steps away from one of the most scenic stretches of beach on the East Coast and close to water parks, shopping, restaurants and attractions.

Short get away

We arrived at midnight for our check-in. The lobby had a horrible smell. Behind the check in desk was messy, and it took about 30 min for the computer to do whatever computers have to do in order for me to check in so check in was not up to par. The gentleman was nice and apologized for the delay. Opening the door to our room the smell was not a lot better than the lobby although the room appeared clean. This may have been due to humidity and the air conditioning wasn’t on. Waking up the next morning the room was cooler and smelled better. All 3 beds were comfortable, even the Murphy bed. The kitchen was well supplied and all appliances worked. Our tub/ shower combo was not draining but someone can quickly and fixed the problem. My granddaughter enjoyed the pool area although I think the pools could Have been cleaner. Overall, our stay was enjoyable. I personally like to stay more north but would consider staying here again for a quick trip

Great stay.

Overall we had a lovely stay. The pools were clean and inviting. The room had been cleaned before we arrived. The beds were comfortable and seemed clean. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast was satisfying. The beach access was perfect. Tiki bar that sells food and drinks was a bonus and reasonably priced. Building and room is outdated apart from kitchen and floor. The walls and doors were very dirty. The drywall at the back of the beds needs attention and condo needs painting. We would stay here again.

The room smelled pretty bad and there was sand on one of the beds. The building is older and sound echos throughout. There werent any pool towels. Best part was just sitting on the balcony and enjoying ocean view.

Beautiful room!

The room was gorgeous, furniture very nice, floors beautiful. In lovely part of Myrtle Beach. The room could have been a little cleaner initially, but not owner's fault (bathroom not wiped down, dirty cup in bathroom) but we will definitely book this room in the future!

A little disappointed!

While the view was amazing from our room! The overall room was not so nice. The ceiling was peeling, water pressure and hotness was not good in the shower, the front door was hard to open and always got stuck, the closet was old and rusted hard to shut, and behind the Murphy bed was sooo disgusting. The beds were comfortable but with the room being the way it was, it was hard for me to really sleep well! Again view was amazing! Just was disappointed with the overall room.

Myrtle beach mayhem

Upon arrival , the people at the front desk were wonderful . However upon checking into our room , we slowly discovered that nothing had been well cleaned . Toilet seats and floors were dirty . The appliances, counters, chairs on deck had not been wiped in quite some time having crumbs on top of appliances . Spare bed when opened had crumbs in bedding when pulled down . Reported to from desk who appeared to take our complaint but never cleaned more than they had . On the second day I reported again and cleaning people never came to clean , only dropped off fresh towels and left . By mid week we needed soap and toilet appear in the room and had to call . We took out our own garbage to trash bin , changed our own sheets , wiped down with Clorox on our own .upon leaving doing the final check I found food bags under the bed that weren’t ours . Our second tv did not work . We called to have it looked at and were told the remote was not the correct remote and that’s the best he can do ... he got the tv working for a bit, never returned to fix the problem ( which was minor compared to the filthy room ). Quite honestly the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed .

This property was amazing!! The beds were really comfy. And the ocean view was the best part of the stay!! I absolutely loved it. We did had a small issue though, the bathroom’s sink was clogged but no big deal, they fixed it right away. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff is very friendly!

Great location, GOOD Breakfast, the view was breathtaking, comfortable beds !

We travel a from Ohio and had a pleasant surprise when we step in our room! The hallway and parking garage is out dated, but our room looked the same as the pictures. Staff was very helpful and friendly! We enjoyed the pools ! FYI if you want a less busy pool we went to the rooftop pool located on the 10th floor!!!

Nice for a stay in Myrtle Beach

Rooms were very clean. Nice breakfast 7AM - 10AM every day. Convenient parking. Nice pools. It appeared that the maintenance workers were busy updating things outside/inside every day, so it is well maintained.

The water parks for the kids were cool. But the room was not great. House keeping did not clean properly before our arrival. There was trash shoved in the drawer in living room area. Kitchen appliances were not clean. Then I had to complain about the room next door because at 2am they were loud with music. But my problem with that is that I heard security tell them what room was complaining which should be confidential. Overall not happy with the property.
