Part of the original homestead of Gerrard McCrea, who immigrated from Ireland in 1838, this remarkable property carries a rich history. Our family was fortunate enough to purchase a portion of this original property in 2019, and we are excited to share this very special place with our guests. Located 1.5 km off the main road, your completely off-grid lakefront cabin is surrounded by forest, wildlife, nature trails, and breathtaking views. Enjoy your own private dock on a peaceful lake where motorized boats are not permitted, making it an ideal place to paddle, fish, swim, relax, or simply listen to the loons calling across the water. This is a place to slow down, unplug from everyday life, and reconnect with nature. ________________________________________ The Cabin The cabin accommodates up to 4 guests and offers a comfortable open-concept living space with beautiful views of the lake. Come experience NewField Glenn, where history, wilderness, and relaxation meet. ________________________________________ Important Information Before Booking Because NewField Glenn is a secluded, off-grid property, we want guests to know what to expect before arriving. • Maximum occupancy: 4 guests • Please bring your own beach towels if you plan to visit local beaches. • Laundry facilities are available during daylight hours to allow the solar and battery system to recharge. • The cabin operates on an off-grid solar and battery system. We ask guests to be mindful of electricity use. • No electric vehicle charging is permitted because the property operates on an off-grid solar system. • The cottage is located 1.5 km off the main road on a cottage road. Vehicles with very low ground clearance are not recommended. • Ticks are present in the forest area. We recommend insect repellent, appropriate clothing, and checking for ticks after spending time outdoors. • No pets permitted. • No parties or events permitted. • Fire pit use is permitted only when there is no applicable township fire ban. • Kayaking and other outdoor activities are undertaken at the guest's own risk. ________________________________________ Come Get Away From It All At NewField Glenn, the lake is quiet, the stars are bright, the loons are calling, and there is room to breathe.
