Escape to Rocky Ridge Retreat by Tiny Away — a peaceful tiny house getaway in Blaxlands Ridge, just over an hour from Sydney, NSW. Set beside the national park and overlooking Wheeny Creek, this cozy retreat offers beautiful bushland views, stunning sunsets, and a true nature escape.



Relax by the firepit in winter or cool off in the plunge pool during warmer days. Wake to native birds, spot wallabies nearby, and enjoy the serenity of tiny house living. Cook with fresh veggies from the property garden or explore the Hawkesbury region, including nearby Baan Thai Restaurant. Nearby highlights includefood markets at Richmond Oval, boat cruises around Wisemans Ferry, wine tasting at Tizzana Winery, and guided visits to the Wild Cat Conservation Centre.



This 139-square-foot tiny home features a queen bed for two, air conditioning, easy water access, and a kitchenette with all the essentials. The bathroom includes a cassette toilet, basin, and gas-heated shower, ensuring more relaxing holiday homes for you to stay.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the tiny house and surrounding outdoor areas.



The main house is private and “not accessible” to guests, however you’re welcome to relax on the deck beside the plunge pool. All other outdoor spaces around the property are yours to enjoy.

Rocky Ridge Retreat by Tiny Away is located in Blaxlands Ridge and is the perfect base to explore the natural beauty of the Hawkesbury region. Nearby highlights include weekend food markets at Richmond Oval, boat cruises around Wisemans Ferry, wine tasting at Tizzana Winery, and guided visits to the Wild Cat Conservation Centre.



The area is framed by the Hawkesbury River and Colo River, offering sandy creekside walks at Wheeney Creek, clear waters at Colo River Reserve, and the rare Wollemi Pine in Wollemi National Park.



The region also offers a lively food and culture scene, with local favourites such as Baan Thai Restaurant, cafés in Kurrajong Village, Cricca, and Sunfire Kitchen, alongside fresh produce at Richmond Fruit Market. By car:



- Just over an hour from Sydney and 20mins from Richmond and Windsor. Accessible by 2WD



By pubic transport:



- Train from Sydney to Richmond then taxi. Local windsor Richmond taxi service. Have to book.

- NO CHILDREN ALLOWED

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Please note that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

- Telstra and Vodafone provide good mobile reception, while others are weak or no signal

- Pets are welcome, with amenities available exclusively for dogs. Friendly dogs can roam freely within the 2-acre fenced area alongside 3 resident dogs, with a separate small fenced section planned soon.



Guest Advisory



- No smoking inside the tiny house, except outside the tiny house and around the firepit area only. For safety reasons, ashtrays are provided



Important note:



- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
