Cool off on the glass porch or 2 spacious sun decks overlooking the lagoon where you can watch herons hunting and turtles! Don't forget your fishing poles and crabbing nets to try your luck in the neighboring lagoons! From house to shore is a minimal five-minute walk, and this central location is perfect for renting a golf cart for trips to the grocery store, restaurants, and other surrounding attractions. Perfect location & view

This house was perfect for our family getaway. It is located about one block from the beach and overlooks a peaceful lagoon. There is a mature tree dripping with Spanish moss overhanging the upstairs deck. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped and we were able to make some good meals. Overall, we were very pleased and recommend this place.

House was nice but needs lots of updates. Water in tub dripped the entire time.

Property managers were quick to replace broken coffee maker at check in. Easy check in and out process.

New Years Getaway

It was exactly what was pictured. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of plates and cups and silverware for quite a large family. It is a very quiet neighborhood. Very relaxing sitting on the back deck overlooking the lagoon and listening to the waves hit the beach.

Beautiful Location, home needs updates

The location was perfect! A quick walk to the ocean, a quiet atmosphere, and a beautiful back yard lagoon. The home had ample space for our family of 6. Check in and check out was easy as well. The house exterior decks were very dirty, but sweeping and wiping the railings our first day helped a lot. The inside was clean apart from the floors being dirty, but the toilet and shower faucets ran constantly, and some of the hardware was quite corroded (thankfully the corroded sharp handles were in our bathroom and not the ones our children used). The light switches weren't set up to turn on the bedroom lamps either (there were no overhead bedroom lights). Despite some of the needed maintenance, the house served us well and was in such a great location to enjoy nature and have a peaceful environment. Hopefully the rental company installs some updated plumbing fixtures and takes attention to some small details that would make the property even better!

Not worth the money

The house was not clean like most reviews said it was. The beds were not clean. The lights in the house flickered the whole time. The air conditioning wasn’t cooling right. The house temperature was 80 degrees. After messaging the host they said “the a/c was doing the best it could” and I never heard back. ( we had friends at a neighboring house across the street and their house was cooling just fine) Minimum household supplies for cleaning up. No toilet paper in a house that has 3 bathrooms house! House needs some TLC it is not worth the money we paid for a week.

Dear Jake, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay, as these are not typical of the properties we manage. Before your stay, the homeowner’s contractor completed several updates in the kitchen and bathrooms, leaving the home in better condition than during previous rentals. Additional improvements are scheduled for the upcoming off-season. Regarding the air conditioning, the local HVAC company has inspected the unit and confirmed it is working properly. They explained that during extreme heat conditions (heat indexes over 95-100 degrees with 100% humidity), HVAC units can typically only offer a 20-25 degree difference between the outdoor and indoor temperatures. We understand this can be uncomfortable and appreciate your understanding. As for household supplies, we provide a starter kit with 2 rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, and soaps, and send a full list of what to bring with the check-in reminder 14 days prior to arrival to help avoid any frustration. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We manage over 120 properties on Edisto Island and would love to invite you back for a more enjoyable stay during any season. Our team is local and available to assist with any items affecting your enjoyment of our properties.
