Authentic Manor in a Quiet Setting – Families and Friends – Mont-Saint-Michel Bay
The Manoir de Crux is a historic building full of rustic charm, nestled in the heart of Mont-Saint-Michel Bay. It can accommodate 9 or more guests and is set in a large enclosed garden, surrounded by fields and old trees, including a 400-year-old lime tree, with panoramic views over the Normandy countryside.
The manor has preserved some features of a historic residence, including exposed beams and a traditional interior staircase. It provides modern comfort suitable for an authentic stay, but the focus is on historical atmosphere and rustic simplicity.
Manoir de Crux is ideal for guests seeking authenticity, calm, and nature. It is less suitable for those expecting modern hotel standards or perfect uniformity.

For larger groups, the neighboring gîte Le Mélèze (6 guests – listing n°2062664) can be booked in addition. The two gîtes are completely independent, with separate entrances, terraces, and outdoor areas.
Thanks to the proximity of the main road towards Granville, the manor offers easy access to Mont-Saint-Michel, Normandy beaches, Saint-Malo, and many tourist sites in Normandy and Brittany.

The property is carefully cleaned before each arrival. Despite all precautions, minor traces related to the building’s age, surrounding nature, or outdoor environment may occasionally be observed, such as cobwebs, flies, or other insects, and do not constitute a cleanliness defect.

Fantastic building in a wonderful region. Heating in late December was adequate once we figured out that doors to unheated rooms, including the 900-year-old tower stairwell, needed to be closed.

Great villa in a rural location

Really enjoyed our stay, rural with eqsy access to amenities (by car). Really quiet and pretty. Friendly host.

Beautiful chateau in a beautiful location

One of the beds on second floor was uncomfortable, trip hazards for young children, particularly in kitchen area. On the plus side, the chateau is very well equipped, beautiful crockery, dishes and bowls. Stunning location, historic chateau with ancient aspects. We really enjoyed our stay and thank Katia and Gerhard for their attention to detail. We thoroughly recommend this property and its location.

D-Day trip 2024

I have to say, after staying in many hotels and properties around the UK and Europe. This by far was the best one, well maintained, clean and picturesque. From the moment we drove up the tree lined driveway to the moment we drove back down it to go back to the UK, we felt at home. Beautiful location and very peaceful. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Will stay in the property if i'm in the area again

A piece of heaven!

What a dream! Everything about our stay was amazing. The home was so unique, once in a lifetime stay. Perfect space for our large family of 8. We were able to explore small towns around us and Mont Saint Michel with ease. But ask our kids, they would’ve stayed at this home, yard and game room forever! Katia was the sweetest host, giving us tips, being attentive and so warm to our kids. It felt like saying bye to family as we left this morning.

Nous avons trouvés le manoir agréable. Mais cependant nous sommes déçus de la propreté cheminée avec des cendres pas de bois dans le meuble, douche du bas tres sale ,le four également nous avons été obligés de faire le nettoyage.Toiles d'araignée dans pratiquement toutes les pieces pas de chauffage dans le salon dhivers .Enfin je ne veux pas etre désagréable j'en ai parlé a la femme de menage qui m'a dit que le menage avait été fait avant notre arrivés? je comprend bien que la propriétaire n'etant pas sur place elle ne peut pas constater d'elle même,elle fait confiance a la personne qui s'en occupe. Si non le cadre et top Dommage pour ces désagrément J'espère que pour les prochaines personnes qui arrivent apres nous sachant que le menage ma coûté 90 euros ils auront la chance que se soit plusagréable pour eux.

Das Anwesen liegt idyllisch und sehr ruhig, der weitläufige Garten ist ein echtes Highlight – besonders für Kinder, die gerne draußen spielen (Outdoorspiele, viel Platz zum Toben etc). Die Umgebung bietet viele tolle Ausflugsziele. Der Wohn- und Essbereich überzeugte mit rustikalem Charme, die große Holztafel war ideal für unsere Gruppen.Weniger erfreulich war der Zustand von Küche und Bad: Schimmel in der Dusche, stark verschmutzte Lichtschalter, Kalkrückstände, Spinnweben, Fliegendreck in der Küchenlampe, Restwasser in der Kaffeemaschine, Lebensmittelreste im Backofen und abgelaufene Vorräte mit MHD 2023. Diese Mängel trübten den Gesamteindruck deutlich. Dafür wurde uns eine Teilerstattung gewährt. Laut Vermieter ist ein neues Bad im Bau, der Schimmel soll kurzfristig beseitigt werden.Was wir gerne vorher gewusst hätten: Eines der Bäder ist ein Durchgangszimmer, beide WCs sind fensterlos und eng – für kleine Kinder eher unpraktisch. Die Wärmepumpe für Warmwasser springt nachts hörbar an. Ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett unter dem Dach hat keine Tür. WLAN und Mobilfunk sind ziemlich schwach. Fazit: Ein Haus mit viel Potenzial und tollen Außenanlagen. Nach den angekündigten Renovierungen sicher eine lohnende Wahl – besonders für Familien. Bei unserem Besuch leider unzureichend sauber.

Nous venons de passer un séjour vraiment très agréable au Petit Manoir.Accueil tout à fait sympathique. Un lieu d'une grande tranquillité. Tout est là pour agrémenter le séjour : jeux, détente, repos et chaises longues mais aussi l'atmosphère idéale pour accueillir les amis, rien ne manque en cuisine et pour les grandes tablées. La végétation généreuse protège de la chaleur. Sans oublier la chance d'apercevoir un lièvre au petit matin.

Escapade intemporelle près du Mont St Michel

Les pierres du manoir sont chargées d'histoire. Certains aspects de la déco sont intemporels. Idéal comme pied à terre pour visiter les environs, Avranche, Granville, Bayeux et bien sur sans oublier le Mont St Michel. Concernant le lieu de séjour tout est fait et bien pensé. Pour les Equipements en ustensiles de cuisine, vaisselle etc.. tout y est et même plus !! Jeux et activités diverses sont présentes y compris le terrain de pétanque. Seul bémol : les salles de bains un peu vieillottes... mais une nouvelle salle de bain est en cours de réalisation.

Ein zauberhafter Ort !

Dieses Herrenhaus mit fast 1000-jähriger Geschichte ist ein wunderschöner Ort. Die Einrichtung und Ausstattung ist hie und da etwas rustikal, aber alles funktioniert. Ein toller Garten und viel Platz, wir konnten verschiedene Räume zum Musikmachen nutzen und haben mit Katia, der sehr herzlichen Gastgeberin, einen überaus gemütlichen Abend bei Wein, Calva und Gesang verbracht.Die Lage ist perfekt, ruhig und ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.

Séjour près du Mont Saint Michel

Nous avons passé une sympathique semaine de vacances en famille à Tirepied et ses environs, environ 20 minutes du Mont Saint Michel et 50 mns de Saint Malo. Le manoir a beaucoup de cachet et très calme. Les hôtes nous ont assisté sur toutes nos questions et il ne manquait rien sur place. Petite panne de wifi due à une coupure de courant mais à part ça nous n'avons pas eu de soucis durant notre séjour qui fut très agréable.

Un séjour au calme

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à 8 dans cette belle bâtisse, situé dans un environnement très agréable à côté d'Avranches. Les enfants ont beaucoup joué dans le jardin avec les jeux disponibles ou dans la salle de jeux (babyfoot et ping pong). Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires et d'Anne-Marie. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

super schönes Ferienhaus

Wir (2 Familien mit 2 Kindern) hatten in diesem schönen Ferienhaus eine wundervolle Woche. Das Objekt ist sehr ländlich und ruhig gelegen was wir sehr zu schätzen wussten. Von der Autobahn ist das Ferienhaus sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Ferienhaus bietet viel Platz und besticht durch seinen rustikalen Charme, wir haben es sehr genossen, unsere Abende in dem urigen Wohn-/Esszimmer oder auch in dem schönen Garten ausklingen zulassen. Danke auch an die Gastgeberin für ihre unkomplizierte freundliche Art. Wir können einen Aufenthalt in diesem schönen Ferienhaus nur jedem empfehlen.

Charmante maison en pierre

On a passé un très bon noël en famille dans cette grosse maison en pierres avec beaucoup de charme. Les échanges avec les propriétaires sont cordiaux et l'accueil sympa. La maison a été chauffée avec la PAC quelques jours avant notre arrivée. Nous avons utilisé le poêle pour le charme du feu avec le bois mis à disposition. L'endroit est très calme et Avranche est à quelques minutes en voiture.

Autumn in beautiful landscape.

Love the location with easy access to majority of important things to see, shop and dine. Beautiful building and garden. Ground floor with lot of charme, nice features and well-equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi could be upgraded to more modern standards and expectations.

Stillvolles, ruhiges Herrenhaus

Das Haus liegt sehr, sehr ruhig und abseits - ideal zum Erholen. Wir hatten Glück mit dem Wetter und konnten den genialsten Sternenhimmel bewundern. Das große Wohnzimmer mit Kamin und benachbartem Wintergarten und Treppenturm ist sehr stilvoll und gemütlich. Wir waren zu viert hatten somit sehr viel Platz. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen - und neuen uns auf ein nächstes Mal.

Dès l'arrivée on se sent en vacances

Un gîte confortable dans un endroit paisible qui inspire le repos, la sérénité. Isa et Domi ont ça dans la peau, l'accueil, la communication. A la croisée des routes qui vous mènent vers des paysages, une culture et une gastronomie qui vous permettent de vous évader. Allez y les yeux fermer, faites confiance aux appréciations laissées par les voyageurs car ils sont très réel. Merci Isa et Domi pour cet endroit si bien entretenu et pour votre accueil. Fijne plek om net je gezin samen te verblijven. Heerlijken plek om buiten te eten onder een afdak geheel in stijl. Inclusief barbecue. Ook fijne plek voor kinderen die zich kunnen vermaken buiten. Daarnaast goede uitvalaats om allerlei uitstapjes te maken.

Le gîte est idéalement situé, en pleine nature, entre terre et ciel (le Paradis ?) et les propriétaires, Isabelle et Dominique, sont adorables. Avranches est une charmante petite ville dont les habitants sont accueillants et, bien sûr, le Mont Saint Michel, est un endroit magique.
