WHAT’S NEARBY
Welcome to the Sunshine State! Your stay in the beach city of Destin will please everyone, especially beach lovers. This location will put you moments away from the white sand beaches, emerald green waters, and a plethora of fun activities. The beach will be 170 yards from your vacation rental; it's private and gated, providing a secure environment and the perfect place to truly relax and worry about nothing but sunbathing. There are showers available for you to use; rinse off the sand before heading back to your condo. Dining options will be all around you; there's no need to stay in every day and cook for the entire group if you can treat them to delicious seafood restaurants. Less than four miles away is the Henderson Beach State Park, which boasts family-friendly swimming, pavilions, nature trails, and playgrounds for a memorable day outdoors. Six miles away is Big Kahuna's Water and Adventure Park where you'll find water slides, wave pools, and lazy rivers for the whole family.

What we imagined

the only problem we had was, a hole in the master bathroom cieling. it is a tile is missing but you’re still able to shower. the condo for unit A is not gulf view, but wasn’t a terrible walk. we loved it here overall tho. very quiet and everything was an easy process

Mold in the bathroom.

They did not remedy the situation until we did a "force move". And even after that, they still charged us for the stay at the property with the mold in the bathroom. If anything, refund this night stay and half another day for the move. I was not supposed to be here in this biohazard in the first place.

We thought it was great! But got BED BUG BITES!!

We absolutely loved it, until we realized that 2 out of 4 kids had allergic reactions to bed bugs from staying here! And one adult as well. We didn't realize what it was until we got home and had to take the kids to the doctor. We had thought it was something we ate but the doctor confirmed it was bed bugs!! Not a great way to find out that 2 out of 4 kids are allergic to bed bugs.

Loved the condo. Well kept. Nice decor. Very cozy. Spacious and a great layout. It suited our families sleeping need well. Easy access to beach, 2 - 3 minute walk at most. Enjoyed it!

Eh Just ok!

The location near the beach was probably its biggest perk! Was very disappointed in finding out just days before our arrival that the outdoor pool was closed for construction. Not sure where the outdoor or indoor pool was even located as we never did see a construction zone and nothing in the unit gave directions to it. A pool was a huge priority for our stay with our kids and had we known it wasn’t available we would have chosen another place. Reached out to the property management of Vacasa on this via their email and still have not heard anything back. The cleanliness of the place was a little questionable. They need to have pillow cases on ALL pillows and consider replacing some as they were gross; as well as pull out the trundle mattress in the bunk room for cleaning as that was really nasty as well! Did get a response on those concerns via text/phone when I gave a poor review via their text message and was credited half the cleaning fee, which was nice I guess?! However if you’re looking for great amenities this is not it! The unit didn’t offer much, not even some of the basics such as, hot pads, pizza cutter, scissors, very few trash bags, or even salt/pepper for the kitchen. No beach towels, had to ask for additional bath towels just for bathing; very few of those for a 10 person unit. If your driving in and can bring all that with you maybe this is your place…not ideal for flying in. Had a hard time even finding a way to reach property management to ask some of these questions so we knew what to bring…tried through VRBO messaging system…no response. Was sent their Vacasa app to download. Only found a general email that again we got no response from. Not planning to stay at this location again.

Bad exeprience

There was major construction in the unit above us. There was no warning or notice of the work. On our second morning we were awakened to the sound of hammering and drilling. The floors were being chiseled/scraped and removed, and replaced with new tile. The remainder of our trip we had the sound of construction morning until evening. At some points the noise was so loud we could not even hear each other speak over it. To make the situation worse, the weather was bad, so we were unable to go to the beach or pool due to the rain. We were stuck sitting in the room listening to the noise. No relaxing, or watching a movie, or playing a game. Just noise and rain. The owner of the unit where the work was being done was extremely rude and could care less. I was given the number of the onsite property manager by the janitor, but the manager never returned my call. The rental company, Vacasa, was no help either. They said they had no notice from the owner or property manager of the work, and there was nothing they could do for me. I was told if they construction occurred before 8:00 am or after 8:00 pm, I was welcomed to call the sheriff. I don't understand how the condo HOA allows major renovations during peak season and with no prior notice. Also, the washers and dryers which are not in the unit and are coin operated, one of the dryers did not work. I dried towels for 2 hours and then realized this. The kitchen was not well equipped, there were few pots and pans. The one large pot (5 qt.) had the handle broken, making it difficult to use. We have stayed up and down the Alabama /Florida coast for over 25 years. This was not the worst but it was far from the best. I will not be staying here again.

Large condo

This condo was large and nicely updated. There were four families in our group and we rented 3 different units. Ours was the nicest and the only three bedroom. There were only 2 adults and 2 teenagers in our unit but it could have held so many more. The kitchen was nice and big to host the other families for dinner. The private beach was not nearly as crowded as a little farther down the beach where the larger condos were. The boys had room for football, frisbee and corn hole boards behind our chairs. They do set up the rental chairs and umbrellas all along the beach when you come down, but there is plenty of room behind them and if you get there early enough you can set up before they get set up. One of the other rooms came with those chair rentals so we always set up a chair next to them and then the guys and kids could set up behind them. The room did have some beach chairs and a wagon in the closet. If you have little ones bring your own sand toys didn’t see any of those. The noise level at these condos was nice. Didn’t hear anyone up late partying and you couldn’t really hear the other people in the rooms above or next to you. The walk to the beach is not long at all even with all the stuff. Fall was a great time to go. The ocean water was clear, we saw lots of sea life. It was nice for kids because it’s shallow for a good bit before it gets deep. They housekeeping did a good job and the place was very clean. Plenty of towels and wash clothes but no beach towels. There are laundry rooms just outside the rooms to wash if you run out. They take coins and cards. There is also a trash shoot in the hall. Elevator was quick and never too busy. The tennis courts were nice for our boys that play high school tennis. The pool never seemed busy but we honestly never used it. There are a few restaurants with in short walking distance. The bed rooms do not have black out curtains so the sun does come in early. The living room does not have curtains at all so if you plan on using the pullout just be aware of that. It has a small view of the ocean from the kitchen table and balcony area. The bedrooms look out to the parking lot or other building. Overall this is a very nice place to stay. We had a great vacation.

Classical beach decorum clean

This classically decorated ‘beach decor’ condominium is stylishly maintained and updated. All appliances and fixtures brand new and functional. Not one speck of sand, immaculately cleaned. The common areas are cleaned daily by dedicated staff. Ease of use W&D, storage and parking. Excellent access to the beach. Pool is clean and picnic areas are very well maintained. I wouldn’t stay at another place in Destin!
