Island View Lake Home is a quiet lake place just outside of Spooner, WI. In the summer, days are spent swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and hanging by the water. Fall is peaceful and slower, and winter is great for ice fishing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.

The home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is a comfortable fit for families, couples or a small group of friends. There’s a full kitchen, games, movies, a fire pit and plenty of ways to enjoy the lake and surrounding area in any season.

We’ve also put a lot of thought into the little things that make a stay easier, so you can settle in, feel comfortable and enjoy your time here.

Please turn off lights, small appliances, gas on the outdoor grill, and the A/C unit if used and the central heat back down to 65°F.
Check for personal belongings. We’d also love it if you took a moment to share a note about your stay in the leather guest book.

Fantastic weekend getaway!

Beautiful cabin! New furnishings, immaculate! The view was outstanding! Also enjoyed hitting some near by hiking trails and the small town bars. Emily was great at answering all my questions. Highly recommend and I am already looking at dates to rebook. By far one of the best Vrbo I’ve stayed in

Beautiful cabin and convenient location

I was not able to go with my friends, but they told me that they loved this property. The communication with the owner was excellent. The only thing they wanted improved was lack of hot water. There were only two people that stayed, but they did not have enough hot water for showering.

Family Get Together

The place was great with many things to offer. There was a paddle boat, 3 kayaks, bag toss, yard golf, lots of life jackets, and a big fire pit with LOTS of wood to name a few. There was a hammock to relax in and nice bench at the end of the dock to look out onto the lake as well as a bench up on the deck of the house to look out onto the lake. We saw quite a few loons when out on the paddle boat. The lake water around the dock is fairly weedy but it’s been a really dry year. There was also a large lily pad to lay on and relax on the water. The view of the lake from the house was nice. House was very clean and had all the kitchen necessities plus a great washer/dryer. There was an awesome blender for making margaritas and even an Instapot. There was a Black Stone grill which was great and a regular grill. Lots of board games to keep you occupied. And good Wi-Fi service if you just can’t bear to unplug. And you can have pizza delivered if you don’t feel like cooking! Owner was easy to get a hold of and responded quickly. The only thing that really turned us off was the water. It is the color of light yellow pee and it smells bad so bring bottled water. The water is the reason for my overall rating of a 4 instead of a 5.

Beautiful. Clean. Perfect!

We had an amazing time at this lovely cabin. The cabin itself was super clean, well equipped, and just the right size for us 5 adult ladies. We had awesome time at the lake front with the lake toys. We also enjoyed the campfire, the fire pit was amazing! And we spent a lot of time on the porch! It was excellent. And we got to see a meteor shower as well. Just overall excellent excellent! We will be there again!!

Wonderful vacation!

The home was just as shown. It was a beautiful property. We enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, lawn games, bonfires, bike riding, indoor games, a trip to the cute stores in Spooner, and lots of family time. We were there during the week and it was very quiet and peaceful. There was an eagle living on the island that flew over daily. The home was clean and had everything we needed plus a few extras! Emily was very quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely recommend.

Great cabin

The property was great, lots of great extras including phone chargers, a speaker, indoor and outdoor games. We enjoyed a relaxing weekend with everything we needed right there.

Enjoyable

My family had an enjoyable experience for the week we stayed. Lots to do at the house, on the lake, or in nearby towns. The lakewas busy on the weekend, but expected. We would recommend to families and friends looking to get away.

Peaceful Getaway

The house and lake were beautiful. We appreciated sitting on the dock for Morning coffee and fishing. We enjoyed the use of the kayaks and paddle boards to explore the peaceful lake. We even got to see and hear the loons. Emily was very kind to work with before and during our stay. We would have rated the property a “5” if some of the fire pit chairs were in better condition (some had broken plastic on the backrests and on one of the arm rests), on arrival there was no propane in the gas grill tank ,however, Emily was prompt to respond to the propane issue and had propane tanks filled by the next day. Emily, Thank you for a peaceful getaway!

Beautiful Location!

We loved Island Lake because it feels peaceful without feeling too far away from everything. You can spend the day on the water, fish, paddle, snowmobile, snowshoe or just enjoy the quiet, and Spooner is close enough for restaurants, groceries and anything else you might need. It really does feel different in every season, which is one of our favorite things about it.

What makes this property unique

For us, it’s the setting and the little details. The lake is peaceful, the view is beautiful, and there’s something to enjoy here in every season. We’ve also put a lot of thought into the things that make a stay more comfortable — a well-stocked kitchen, games and movies, outdoor gear in the warmer months, and the kinds of extras we appreciate when we travel ourselves. We want it to feel cared for, comfortable and easy to settle into.
