This cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bath and is near the boat dock. There is a trail to the lake with parking down there for your trailer (please note that there is not space to park a trailer next to the cottage unless it is very small). There is a full kitchen which includes a dishwasher. There is a washer and dryer. The 10 acre property goes down to the lake where you can enjoy some of the best fishing in Kentucky. There is plenty of room to explore on the property and there are trails nearby. Winter guests should be aware that we are unable to remove snow from the walks and driveway so you stay at your own risk. Kentucky often has very mild winters so feel free to book your winter getaway with knowledge that if a snow storm is predicted for the area that you may cancel and receive a full refund if you cancel before your check-in date. If you must leave during your stay because of winter weather we will refund the daily rate for any days left in your stay but know that VRBO does not refund their fees when there is a partial refund. The property is secured by Motion activated cameras, there is one capturing the front of the cottage and parking area, attached to a tree near the front right corner of the cottage.

Nice little cabin

We stayed here while visiting Wild Cats Off Road Park (10 minute drive). The road back to the cabin is very windy. There is a plenty of space to park the trailer behind the cabins. Great communication with owner. The cabin is very clean and well stocked with everything you need.

Beautiful, peaceful cottage

We loved our stay at this cute little cottage above the lake! Wood Creek Lake was just a short walk down the hill, and it was so peaceful and quiet at the cottage. The host was very communicative before we even arrived for our trip. The kitchen was a little under-stocked on larger pots and pans for cooking at the cottage. But overall, it was a great place to stay!

Family visit

We stayed here to visit family just outside of London , Ky. Great location. Very clean. Had everything we needed for the weekend. Host was very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Great little getaway

Very clean with a nice layout. We stayed in cabin 3 and it was very quiet. Nice little back patio. Disappointed that there was no propane for the grill, but we enjoyed the area's food-Habenero was awesome! Overall nice accommodations in a beautiful setting.

Relaxing Cottage

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cottage near the lake. The country side leading to the cottage is lovely. It rained on us for a while but rather than being disappointed it was nice due to the rain falling on the tin roof and lulling us to sleep! Our host was friendly and responded quickly when we had a few questions. We would stay here again.

Little house

Our stay was very nice and in a area. They need to update their pictures on internet and mark their street better it was very hard to find, also their driveway was narrow and could be built up. Overall, the landlord was very nice and friendly, and I would stay there again

Disappointed

They need to fire the cleaning crew. I am not a picky person but the cob webs and dust was thicker than a weeks cleaning, the dishes in the cabinet were not clean and there were crumbs/dirt/used bottle caps in the cabinets and silverware drawer, kitchen table and chairs were not wiped down (still had food and crumbs),and the walnuts that fall on the roof over the second bedroom makes it tough for sleeping. The couch and beds need upgraded as they are old and hard. I stayed a week for work and had to purchase an air mattress after the third day. I don't normally leave a negative review, but I wasn't sure about staying there until I read all positive reviews which helped me decide. I do not know how the reviews were so positive. I'm sorry for giving a bad review but that was a bad stay with way too many issues to let it go by. Hope they get a new house keeper and update some furniture to something more comfortable. Thanks.

I spoke with this Guest Several times during their stay, they never voiced any concerns. They even told me everything was great on more than one occasion. During their stay they parked a vehicle in the grass, I asked them to move it and requested that they not do that anymore as it causes ruts in the yard. I personally cleaned this unit myself before and after the stay as I usually do, and virtually everything this guest has said is untrue. There was no dirt or crumbs/bottle caps in any of the cabinets. No food on the table, or in the chairs. There is a squirrel that drops nut shells on the roof, but these are not walnuts but actually acorns. The couch is older but, in my opinion, is not uncomfortable. These are issues that were not mentioned to me in several interactions with this guest and only brought up in a negative review after I asked them not to park in the yard and damage the property. After reading this review, I contacted the guest and asked what I can do to make it right with them and they denied writing the review.

Quiet and comfortable

We had a very quiet and enjoyable stay in this house. My dad and I enjoyed our stay. My dad has a boat and did not enjoy getting his boat in and out of the driveway. This driveway is narrow and not very easy to turn a boat around on.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay, would say that you knew before you arrived that there was no parking near the cottage for a boat. We talked about that at length and you said that he was a good driver and would have no trouble getting the boat back there rather than parking in the lighted area set aside for boats to park.

Clean and cute!

We absolutely loved this property. Super clean, nice location. A walk to the lake and short drive to a good variety of restaurants. We caught A LOT of blue gill while there. It rained a little every day we were there and the gentle rain was super relaxing on the metal roof. I love how the temperature in the cottage was a constant comfy cool temp. Our 7 yr old absolutely loved the "little cottage" and said he wants to come back. Property manager super nice and helpful.
