Welcome to The Mellow Mermaid! A 2br/2ba condo (Sleeps 6) located on the bayside of Pointe West Resort!

Bring your friends and family for the perfect Texas getaway! Amenities include access to The Beach Club, a shared infinity pool overlooking the Gulf, a hot tub, and beach access, as well as a shared pool with a lazy river and a hot tub on the bayside.

Start your day with a warm cup of coffee on the balcony while watching the fisherman in the bay, enjoy a day of sun and fun at The Beach Club, and wind down with a beautiful sunset view from the bayside hot tub.

Enjoy the modern comforts of tv, cable, and wireless internet inside the condo. Of course, there are cards and games to play as well.

Important Details:

**Elevators: The elevators in this complex are not reliable. The home is not suitable for elderly or mobility-impaired individuals.

**This property is located on the BAY side of the resort.

**RESORT Fee: Please note that you will need to obtain a wristband and access code from the Pointe West Beach Club to take full advantage of the resort facilities (pools, gym, clubhouse game room, basketball, pickleball court, restaurant, and bar). They charge $25 per guest, 4 years old and older, for the entire length of your stay. This fee will be paid directly to the club upon registration. ***(You will receive an email from the Pointe West POA to prepay the resort fee. The primary guest on your reservation will need to show an ID at the Beach Club Office to pick up the wristband(s) and parking passes.) *** Fees increased to $25/per person in 2023. The fee is optional if you do not plan to use the resort facilities.

Lovely place away from noise

We loved our stay. Master bed was the best. Clean everything and lots of fun games to play. Easy in and out and though we weren't right over the pool, it was an easy 2 minute drive to get there. The owners were so accommodating of our late evening check in. Will stay there again!

A great time for all.

This property and it's owners were so amazing. We have never stayed on the bayside of the island or the far west end and it did not disappoint in any way. It is very clean, beautiful and comfortable. The amenities of the property are top notch and have everything you could want to do on a relaxing beach vacation. A golf cart is a must on this property and so worth it! We will be back soon!

Perfect Texas Getaway

Walking into the condo you immediately feel at home. The decor, the special touches and the VIEW from the amazing patio are divine. We spent every minute we could out there. My wife woke up early every morning to enjoy her iced coffee and read. She doesn’t stop talking about it! The beds were super comfortable and the condo was immaculately cleaned upon our arrival. Both pools were super fun and my little one loved the lazy river! The beach was amazing - warm water and clean sand. Super quiet and calm and family friendly. Thank you for allowing to spend the week in your lovely beach home. It is a vacation we will always treasure!

Birthday trip for our 6 yr old daughter

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The condo was clean, accommodating, and more importantly the communication with and by the owners made check-in and prepping for the trip a breeze. They were nice enough and took the time to even leave balloons and a birthday banner for our daughter, a nice gesture we very much appreciated. I highly suggest bringing groceries and cooking because restaurants are a good 30-45 minute drive away. The condo has everything you could need, though we brought paper plates to keep cleanup easy. Will definitely stay here again.

Been to Pointe West several times and usually stay on the beachside, but this last minute trip, we decided to book on the bayside. We got to see the sunsets and they were beautiful! This condo was filled with all the essentials and more than most i have stayed at. I usually have to bring extras, like toilet paper, bathroom items, kitchen items, etc but not here! It had everything we needed and more. And Lachrista was so on top of all my questions and went above and beyond, making sure we had our wristbands for the beach club even when we arrived late. It was such a fun trip and would definitely rent this condo again.

Laid back and easy

Nice property with access to great pools, beach and fishing areas. The outside deck had a nice view of the bay and was a great place to relax in the morning while others were still sleeping. There aren’t a lot of restaurants around but you’re not going to this area for that. Bring your own or enjoy the few local spots. We would definitely be happy to return again!

Peaceful weekend getaway for the entire family

The condo was perfect. Clean, well decorated, beautiful bay view, plenty of room for us and our kids. The Pointe West complex is immaculate. Fantastic amenities for our family. The infinity view to the ocean from the main pool is gorgeous. Plenty of lounge chairs and tables at the pool area for relaxing, eating, etc. Convenient access to the beach from the main pool. We started each day at the beach, then went to the pool to swim and relax in the hot tub followed by lunch at the restaurant. The food and service were excellent at the restaurant. Easy drive into downtown Galveston to enjoy the restaurants and attractions. During our stay, we also went to Kemah and Space Center Houston. So, between the beach, pool, and surrounding attractions, we had an easy time keeping our kids happy…and we were able to relax too. Overall a perfect trip. Highly recommended. We will be back!

We love pointe west!

We traveled at the spur of the moment with other friends who also stayed in Pointe West. This unit is the perfect size for a family of 4. The TV’s have an “auto sign out” feature for ROKU which is very very convenient. While you have to drive to the beach and pools, it is literally no big deal. The area is very quiet which is a plus. Security was present throughout the weekend which made us feel very safe.

Fantastic Property, Great Owners!

The property is located about 20 miles south of Galveston's main attractions and 15 minutes north of Freeport. It is well maintained, clean, and offers some great views. Any questions that I had were quickly answered by the owners, who were both professional and kind. I enjoyed making coffee in the morning and sitting on the porch while watching several different bird species fly over the marsh and water...picturesque would be my single word description. You may want to consider setting up golf cart rental so that you can take advantage of both pools, the beach, workout facility, and the bar/restaurant (great food here). We were quite pleased with our stay and will likely stay here again soon.

Quiet Condo by the Beach

We enjoy staying at Pointe West and this was a terrific condo to enjoy all the amenities of the club as well as the well appointed condo! Lots of fun games and even a set of binoculars to enjoy nature from the balcony. The kitchen was very well stocked and lots of little extras!

Great condo and community

Really enjoyed our weekend trip here. The condo was clean and extremely well stocked with all supplies. Our kids loved the community with the pools in addition to the beach. Easy drive into Galveston if you want take in the Strand, Pleasure Pier, etc.
