Spacious family-friendly loft condo in Canmore Crossing, with room for up to 7 guests and beautiful Cascade Mountain views.

Located a short walk from downtown Canmore restaurants, shops, galleries and trails, this comfortable mountain base combines convenience with the relaxed atmosphere of a private condo.

After a day exploring the Rockies, unwind on the private balcony with BBQ or relax in one of the rooftop hot tubs overlooking the mountains.

The condo also features artwork and décor inspired by the Indigenous heritage of the Bow Valley, adding a distinctive sense of place while maintaining the comfort and warmth of a cozy mountain retreat.

Within a few minutes’ walk you will find:

• Art galleries and local shops
• Two supermarkets

Great communication with host. Was a wonderful condo for location, cleanliness, well stocked with kitchen supplies. Only complaint is the lack of availability for booking the hot tub due to it being a very busy time of year.

Richard and Dallas provided excellent communication and information and it helped our stay go smoothly.The unit was clean and well-stocked, with attractive decor. There are comfortable beds for 4 adults, but the sofa beds are better suited for children rather than adults (we were a group of 7 adults). The location is excellent, with quick access to the Banff highway and a great base from which to explore the area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and recommend this property.

Great location in Canmore. large grocery store right next-door and walking distance to downtown hot tub was a big plus and since you reserve it, it is a personal experience.

Comfortable and convenient

Spring break get away with mom and the girls. Did some skiing and some restaurant-ing. Perfect location, great access to parking and groceries.

Great stay

Stay was very good - rooms and kitchen well appointed, all bedding and towels and basic supplies. Thanks Richard, Dallas and Leslie! Note in the summer rooms get a little warm, esp. in the evening. Fans were provided in every room to help air flow and cool things down, and this was appreciated.

Great stay in Canmore

Location of the condo can’t be beat - right beside Safeway and restaurants, and it’s a quick walk to downtown. Kitchen was well stocked, and check in was seamless with thorough instructions texted and emailed.. All beds were twin - good for 4 guests, but we were surprised as we had expected a full Queen in one room. No AC but lots of fans provided and we were we able to cool it down in the evenings, Thanks Dallas and Richard for the great stay!

Amazing location with views you will fall in love with

An excellent experience. Hosts were easy to reach and responsive. The view from the condo is breathtakingly gorgeous. We we able to watch the sunset on the mountains from the roof hottub. A fantastic location to set base from. We were able to travel to Jasper, Drumheller and even did the Icefields parkway- not for the faint of heart! The condo was well stocked and had all the necessities we needed. Beds were comfortable and the 2 bathrooms was a plus. We were here with 3 teenage boys and all 5 of us were quite comfortable for the week. If we are ever back this way again I would stay here in a minute! Thank you for offering this beautiful and convenient space Richard & Dallas.

A fantastic home base for an exploration of The Rockies.

Stayed here for 3 weeks and we couldn't have been happier with every element of this rental. The condo itself was roomy, spotless and very well equipped for a long stay. The rooftop hot tub was so welcome after a day's walking, and the provision of a National Parks pass was a very welcome bonus. Most importantly, Dallas and Richard made sure we felt welcome and comfortable, and along with Leslie, were extremely helpful. I can't recommend Rentals in the Rockies highly enough, and I hope I get a chance to book with this company again.

Great Location - Wrong Condo

When my wife and I arrived at this very well furnished and beautifully decorated condo the temperature inside was 90 degrees. Although the owners had only just left when we arrived the two free standing floor fans were off, dishes were still in the dishwasher, coffee maker had not been emptied out and the BBQ was not fit to use. When the wi-fi would not work in the condo I called the owner and he advised that the signal was stronger outside another condo in the block which apparently was closer to the main modem for the building. Being in the same rental business wi-fi was very important to us and with limited success outside someone else’s condo the only solution was to go to Starbuck’s and Safeway across the square. I decided to place on record by email my dissatisfaction with some of the issues. The response was that new BBQ’s had been purchased for their condos but had not had time to change them and a denial that they were aware of the internet problems but planned to meet the provider for a solution. Despite the denial there is an entry in the information book in the condo stating clearly that the owners cannot guarantee internet service due to circumstances beyond their control. A refund of $25 per day for our five day stay was offered which is not what we went to Canmore for. For location this condo is a very good choice, if issues detailed above are important – it is not.

Perfect for family of 5!

A wonderful place for us. This was our 5th Annual Family Easter Ski Trip and we had a wonderful time. Last year we rented a different condo in Canmore, which was okay. The 3 years previous to that we had rented condos in Banff which was very dated. This year, renting this condo was FABULOUS! The size was perfect for our family of five (mom, dad, one 8yr boy and two 15yr old boys). The condo worked out perfect for us. It has everything you need. This was great because we always ski for five days in Lake Louise and pack picnic lunches for the "tailgate party" when we are skiing. The reason why we switched from staying in Banff was because it is way too crowded during the Easter Break.......Canmore is much more relaxing...Canmore less crowds.....and Canmore has newer condos with great views! We recommend this condo for any family vacation! We understand what is required for renting out condos because we also have vacation property in the Dominican that we rent out and know what is required to make a guests' stay that much more pleasant. We are already planning on renting this condo again for our 2015 Easter family ski trip! Kudos to the owners of this condo! We look forward to staying in it again!

Fantastic place and great value

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well equipped and decorated the apartment was. My parents loved all the First Nation Artefacts and we found the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal and make our stay enjoyable. The rooftop spa was an added bonus. Walking distance to the town centre and there is a supermarket 50m from the apartment. Great place to base ourselves to explore Banff National Park

Lovely Gem!

My colleagues and I stayed here while attending a conference in Banff. What a fantastic spot. The views are astounding and you are right close to everything you might need. Groceries, coffee, shopping, and downtown is withing walking distance.

Hello and welcome! We’re Dallas and Richard Colwell, and we’re delighted you’re here.
Our hosting story started with a gentle push: after 10 months and not a single booking through a management company, we rolled up our sleeves and did it ourselves. That’s how Rentals in the Rockies was born—less “grand plan,” more “let’s make this brilliant for guests.” Fifteen years on, we’ve loved meeting the families and friends who return again and again.
Dallas designs each suite to feel like a peaceful retreat—warm, calm, and beautifully put together. And because we’re family-run, we obsess a little over the small things: the basics you need are ready when you arrive, and there’s usually a little local chocolate waiting too. (Try not to eat it all at once… or do. We won’t tell.) If you fancy more, Canmore’s Le Chocolatier is a must.
Dallas is also an actress (you may have spotted her in productions like Star Wars, The Crown, or Downton Abbey). Richard sings and plays keyboards professionally and is the behind-the-scenes tech chap—so if you notice a typo, you’ll know exactly who to blame!
We both adore Canmore because it’s lively all year round—there’s always something to do, whichever season you visit.

Now, you may be wondering why two people who live in the UK decided upon the beautiful town of Canmore in the Canadian Rockies, to be our home away from home. Although born in London, England, Dallas has always had a strong Canadian connection. Dallas spent many fond childhood years on the Canadian Prairies. Her father John was a Canadian soldier during WWII, and he met her mother, Kathleen, one rainy evening at a dance hall while he was serving at the Canadian Embassy in Trafalgar Square, London. After a whirlwind war-bride romance, and shortly prior to his deployment to France they were married. After the war John, his bride Kathleen, Dallas and her brother Terry moved back to his home town of Beausejour, deep in the Canadian Prairies. When Dallas was a teenager she decided to return to her home away from home, England. Our son Adam, who thanks to his Grandfather’s influence currently serves with the Royal Canadian Air Force and has maintained our strong connection with Canada. We first visited the Canadian Rockies when Adam was posted to Edmonton in 1999. We stayed with friends and decided to explore the area. It was then when we realised how beautiful Canmore is and how much it has to offer. Its proximity to not only Alberta’s major cities and airports, but also to Banff and the incredible Canadian Rockies make it an ideal destination. It was love at first sight.
