This beautifully updated 2 Bedroom Lake View Condominium easily accommodates 4 Guests. Both Bedrooms feature Deluxe Queen-size Beds. The Master Bedroom has an en-suite bath with Jetted Bathtub and plush linens. The Second Bath features an over-sized Shower. The Living Room (salon) and Second Bedroom feature floor-to-ceiling insulated glass walls and doors with Mountain Views across Lake Dillon. There is an Outdoor Swimming Pool open all Summer! Directly across the street from the Lodge you can catch the Summit Stage, a FREE Shuttle Bus with routes to Keystone and Frisco and connections to Breckenridge and Copper Mountain.

You will enjoy all the amenities, including a firelog-burning Fireplace, 2 HDTVs with Enhanced Digital Cable and BluRay/DVD, Broadband WiFi Internet, Microwave, Blender, Bagel Toaster, Waffle Maker, Griddle, and Coffeemaker (and Grinder).

The kitchen features beautiful Hickory Cabinets with stunning Granite Counters and Stainless Steel Appliances. Wolfgang Puck Cookware, all indoor and patio dishes, and other accessories are included. The furnishings are 'Rustico style' with a Leather Sofa and Chair.

The Lodge at Lake Dillon is a beautifully maintained building with numerous amenities. The Entryway is Covered and allows easy dry loading and unloading. The Elevator makes this condo Wheelchair Accessible. The beautifully updated Indoor Hot Tub and Sauna offer a great way to relax tired muscles after a day of Skiing, Fishing, Mountain Biking, or Kayaking on the lake and nearby rivers. The adult Swimming Pool (open all summer) is in a fenced enclosure overlooking the lake and is available to guests.

This is my personal getaway and I know you will love it as much as I do. The condo has gotten over 100 positive reviews in the online Guest Book and dozens more in the condo’s guest book. There are over 50 Colorado history and nature guides as well as books on fishing, hiking, boating, skiing, etc. in the condo.

Summit County is the center of Colorado recreation and Dillon is the center of Summit County. The county offers year-round vacation options of every type. Dillon and Summit County now have several Brewpubs as well as a Distillery, should you be interested. The list grows almost every time I go up!

The Lodge at Lake Dillon sits high on a bluff overlooking the lake with Spectacular Views of the Lake, Marina, and Keystone year round! Just imagine ending your day on the Private Balcony, cooking on the BBQ Grill, eating and looking across the lake at the lights of the homes on the opposite mountain and during ski season, the lighted ski runs at Keystone.

Winter is coming to Summit County:

Summit County ski areas continually work to maintain and improve snow-making equipment, lifts, and dining. Skiers will love the quick access to Keystone Ski Area, just 6 miles away, as well as the close proximity to Breckenridge Resort, Copper Mountain, Arapahoe Basin ski area (usually open until mid-June), and Vail/Beaver Creek. There are Dinner Sleigh Rides near Breckenridge and Frisco and Tubing hills at Frisco, Copper Mountain and Keystone! Summit County has two Nordic Centers offering excellent cross-country skiing, as well as a Tubing Hill for kids of all ages.

Spring, Summer, and Fall in Summit County:

Dillon and the rest of Summit County is the place to be during the summer. Escape the heat of the city, plains, desert, or wherever else you're from. There are food festivals, concerts, golf tournaments, car rallies, etc. every weekend throughout the summer and early fall!

Visitors will enjoy the Alpine Slide at Breckenridge's Peak 8, water-sports (sailing, kayaking, fishing) on Lake Dillon, bicycling or hiking the many paved bike paths and old dirt mining roads throughout the mountains. There is great fly fishing on the many rivers and creeks throughout the county. The Lake Dillon Amphitheater, two blocks away features Sunday Morning Church Services, Free Summer Concerts, Farmer's Markets, and other events. If you like shopping, the Silverthorne Factory Outlets are 2 miles away. Frisco and Breckenridge have many fine Antique Shops and Art Galleries just minutes away.

Summit County has several challenging Golf Courses, including the Jack Nicholas-designed Breckenridge Golf Club, the Robert Trent Jones-designed Keystone Ranch Golf Course, and the Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks. There are few places more beautiful to golf in the world. The Vail/Beaver Creek golf courses are less than 45 minutes away as well.


Dillon is a quaint little Town with a number of Shops and Restaurants. Everything in town is within easy walking distance, including the local Theater, Bowling Alley, Thrift Shops, and Post Office, and city park with basketball, softball, and bocce ball. There are several excellent eateries within walking distance.

I've been coming to Dillon and Summit County since I was a child, before Lake Dillon was even created. I never get tired of the wide variety of activities the county offers visitors year-round. Several of the older buildings in town were moved uphill to their current locations when the lake was being created. They provide an interesting glimpse into Colorado History. More can be learned at the History Museum a block from the condo.

UPDATE (Sep 2016): The Town of Dillon has embarked on an expansion project for the Amphitheater which will be under construction until sometime in 2018. This construction project will impact events usually scheduled at the Amphitheater (such as the free concert schedule during the summer months.) Please be aware of these improvements being made at the amphitheater (which is located three blocks from the Lodge at Lake Dillon) which may temporarily impact residents & visitors to the area until the completion of the project.

The recreational bike path on the Dillon side of the lake will remain open to the public with appropriate signs and fencing that will guide users of the path to keep in areas that are safe for public use.

2017 CONCERT SERIES: Concerts will be held at the Dillon Amphitheater Fridays and Saturdays from June 16th- July 8th, 2017. Concerts will then move to Dillon Town Park and be held every Saturday Night only through Labor Day Weekend. All Concerts Begin at 7pm.

Miscellaneous Information:

Please, NO PETS and NO SMOKING allowed inside the condo OR on the balcony. These are Lodge at Lake Dillon Rules. This includes pets anywhere on the grounds, including in parked cars in the parking lot. I've also worked hard to keep it Hypoallergenic to avoid health issues for all our guests.

This 800 square foot (22.65 square meters) condo can easily accommodate four guests but occasionally someone inquires about bringing additional guests. One additional child can sleep on the sofa but it's not a pull-out and there isn't room for an inflatable bed on the floor. There is a small fee for an additional person and we need to know in advance so we can set out towels and bedding for them.

No cancellation refunds are given within 60 days; if more than 60 days in advance, refunded only if re-booked. We urge guests to purchase Travel Insurance in case your travel plans change. I personally use it and highly recommend it to others. It has saved me when my travel plans have changed.

About Marvin

I live in metro Denver, about 80 miles from Summit County. I've lived in Colorado much of my life and can't imagine living anywhere else full-time. The weather, scenery, activities, and sports combine to make it a wonderful place to live.

I've been in the travel industry for most of my career with travel agencies and airlines and have managed reservation and frequent flier systems for several large domestic and international airlines. I've traveled to about 60 countries and am a big fan of vacation rentals. In addition to staying in mine, I've enjoyed VRBO homes in Beijing, Nicaragua, Panama, London, Paris, Hawaii, St Thomas, Barbados, Normandy,and others. I really enjoy meeting other owners that also have a passion for the industry.

Why Marvin chose Northwest

I've been visiting Summit County since I was a child, before Lake Dillon was created. My dad and I used to fish the Blue River, one of the three rivers that now flow into the lake.

I had looked for a condo for two years and instantly fell in love with this unit when I walked through the front door. I love being able to get away from the city and into the mountains quickly. The Lodge at Lake Dillon is in a great location overlooking the lake and Keystone Resort. Dillon has a small town feel and is centrally located to the many nearby activities.

I spend a lot of time up there, making sure it's in top condition. I regularly change the quilts and other decorator items, as well as updating the video collection and books. I just added a new ceiling fan in the living room as well as a new padded living storage box which doubles as a large footrest.

What makes this condo unique

There's nothing like an early morning cup of coffee on the patio overlooking the lake. Many times I am able to watch hawks or eagles soaring or sitting in the trees below. Sometimes I hear coyotes on the mountains across the lake. All summer there are sailing classes directly below the condo and during the winter ice fishing cabins are scattered about.

I really enjoy walking two blocks down the street to the Arapahoe Cafe for breakfast - the best in the county. I ate there as a kid, before the building was moved to its present location from what is now the bottom of the lake.

The Lodge is directly across the street from the Free Summit Stage stop which takes guests all over the county. It's also across the street from the weekly summer Farmers Market and where many Summer Festivals are held.

The Dillon Marina and Pug's Tiki Bar are steps away, down the bike path from the Lodge.

In other places we find next to nothing. But then, if an owner would put all these convenience things into a home in France for example, the French renters would take everything with them when they leave...

Anyway, we enjoyed the condo even if some half days were cold and rainy."

I cleverly planned my getaway to Dillon, CO when the fall colors were at their peak because I couldn’t miss another autumn in the Rocky Mountains! The drive up from Denver took about an hour, but I was already feeling more relaxed by the time I arrived at the Lodge at Lake Dillon. It was easy to find and the location couldn’t be more perfect. Surrounded by majestic mountains, it was nestled on a bluff over beautiful Lake Dillon and within walking distance of coffee shops, locally-owned restaurants and the grocery store. It instantly felt like a private mountain lodge the minute I walked in the condo. I could tell that a lot of effort went into making this unit special and welcoming. After I took in the stunning view of the lake and mountains from both the living area and the second bedroom, I appreciated the condo’s other thoughtful touches. I loved the wooden stools, doors, and cabinets which gave the condo a cozy, rustic mountain feel. The wood flooring, bedroom carpeting, and the kitchen granite countertops were in excellent condition. The spacious tiled shower, fluffy towels and pretty candle sconces on the walls added to the overall comfort of this home. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil a cook could ever need. Even the pantry covered the basics I had forgotten like coffee and olive oil. After a quick trip to the market, I was ready to make several home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed the brisk and colorful bike ride around Lake Dillon. I really fell in love with Dillon and the friendly people who smiled and waved as we passed each other on the family-friendly bike path. Before long, I was ready to head back to the condo and relax with a book in the comfy leather chair in front of a roaring fire. And when it was time to call it a night; I could have easily hibernated all winter in the bed’s luxuriously soft sheets! Who says you have to drive hours west for a true mountain experience? My trip to Dillon was everything I could have asked for and more. Plus, I didn’t even use a whole tank of gas! We will definitely be visiting again soon. The snow was falling as we checked out and this bear can’t wait to pack a snowboard for his next visit to Dillon, CO! The VRBO Bear

Great condo, extremely well maintained

We enjoyed staying at La Dolce Vita very much and found that the condo was really well equipped and stocked. Everything was spotless. The view was beautiful, and we used both the spa and the swimming pool almost daily. The laundry was a pleasure to use, too.

There are several restaurants nearby (walking distance).

Upon request, we got a late check-out. The management was always very helpful.

The only negative surprise was that the master bedroom does not have any window, the second bedroom is wonderful with all its windows and, again, the view.

We had a great stay at this comfortable, elegantly appointed condo in Dillon. Every amenity was thoughtfully arranged, the patio overlooking Lake Dillon was delightful and we couldn't have asked for anything more. I highly recommend this property for vacationers in Summit County!
