Ann and Bob Curran
About Ann and Bob Curran
We are natives of Southern California where we spent a lot of time at the beach as we love the ocean. We have traveled to many places around the world but we have always returned to Hawaii. We know that Wailea in southern Maui has the very best beaches for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. The scenery is 'Eye Candy' wherever you look. We have been returning to Hawaii for many years, as it is the very best place to spend a vacation.
Ann and Bob Curran purchased this Condo in 2006
Why Ann and Bob Curran chose Wailea
We bought our Hawaii home at Ekahi quite simply because, after traveling to Hawaii for many years, we found Wailea, and Ekahi in particular, is the best property and the best location in the islands.
What makes this Condo unique
Our condominium is in an area that receives an average of about seven inches of rain per year. One of the very best swimming beaches is 10 feet past the property's main pool gate. Maui's best restaurants and shopping are just minutes from Ekahi. The airport, department store, hardware, discount stores are a just a fifteen minute drive away. Lahaina, which is very popular with tourists, is thirty minutes away. Wailea is near the end of the road at the southern part of the island, therefore traffic is never a problem.

Lovely Ekahi condo
We had a great time staying at Bob and Ann’s condo. It was as described and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the pool, pavilion and beach. Very beautiful area, we look forward to returning!
Hi Lisa, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Ekahi 37B. It was our pleasure being your host. We hope you will one day return to our beautiful island and you know your next stay will be even better and thanks for the nice review.
Ekahi is the BEST!!
Bob & Anns condo is in a great location and easy to get to everything in Maui!! The condo is well stocked with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The large lanai is great for spending early morning coffee and after sunset refreshments. We have had the pleasure of renting this condo for many years and consider it our home away from home!! We enjoy our time in Maui and this condo makes our time even better.
Wonderful Wailea condo
The Curran condo at the Ekahi met our needs perfectly. The unit was clean, with everything updated and in good order. Appreciated the double lanai and the comfortable master bedroom. The kitchen was esp. impressive with all updated appliances. We loved the location and coming back to this condo post beach sunsets to relax at the end of the day. Highly recommend! Bob Curran was also very responsive and a pleasure to coordinate with. Mahalo!
Having Mari and her family as guests at our condo was a pure delight. We hope they will one day return to 37B to enjoy the best island in the entire world.
Last minute trip to Maui
My husband and I just returned from a 12 day stay at Bob and Ann’s property. I spoke with Bob personally by phone just days before our trip. He wanted to personally speak to me about the condo to make sure we were completely aware of what the property was like.
Upon pulling into the Ekhai complex, you could feel the aloha magic. The grounds are beautiful and keep so clean. The check in was simple and the lady at the desk was friendly and helpful, offering suggestions of activities and dining.
When you walk into the condo the first thing you see is sliding doors leading to the lanai. Bob did forewarn me that the street noise could be loud and at times, it is. That didn’t stop us from sitting there at the end of a day at the beach and enjoying a cocktail or eating our breakfast there after the sun came up. The condo is completely stocked with anything and everything you could want. There is even a cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, towels and bogie boards!
There are 2 bathrooms each stocked with big fluffy towels. It’s awesome to be able to get ready without having to be on top of each other. If you need a hair dryer, there are 2. The California King bed is super comfy and the AC in the bedroom is freezing cold. The AC in the living area runs loud, but honestly, you don’t need it. Run the ceiling fans and keep the blinds closed in the afternoon and it stays cool and comfy.
The neighbors in the building were very nice and spoke with us a lot. We even had a very nice conversation with a painter who worked for the condo association. He filled us in on Hawaiian traditions and told us to always listen to the stories that the Kupuna tell. They keep the history and traditions alive. He also gave us some non tourist sites to see. Amazing!
Read the book that Bob and Ann keep, lots of valuable info but here are some of our faves
1) Haleakalā-sunrise or sunset plus the hikes
2) Iao valley / Waihe’e ridge trail and Nakalele blowhole/ Pīpīwai trail
3) The Road to Hana and the Kahekili highway for an adventure of a lifetime!
4) Coconuts/Threes’s/Da Kitchen/ Tin Roof/Mau Brewing Co/ Mama’s fish house/Pa’ia fish market/Cafe O’Lei/Rock N Brews/Fred’s (taco Tuesday)/Local boys shave ice
4) Keawakapu beach, Ulna beach, Big beach, Malu’aka beach, Po’olenalena and Napili beach
I could go on and on!
Mahalo Bob and Ann!!! Hope to be back in2-3 years!
P.S. Go to the shops at Wailea and get cookies at The Honolulu cookie co- Yummy!
