Best Family House in Rosemary! South of 30a

Welcome to the McDonald Cottage. This home is ideal for family gatherings or a group of couples.Located south of 30A on the southwest corner of Rosemary Ave and East Water Street. Very easy walking distance to the Western or Eastern Greens. The main house easily sleeps 12 . The inverted floor plan, with the kitchen and living area upstairs, makes for easy entertaining. There is a large balcony on the front of the house with great gulf views. High ceilings and casual elegance make this 4000 sq ft home one of the best properties at Rosemary Beach.

There is a 2 bedroom/2 bath carriage house on this property that can be rented also. VRBO 251622.
As you walk in the front door , you enter a very gracious entry. On this floor are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths.
The spacious downstairs master has a king bed and large bath with tub. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds and a full bath with shower. The third bedroom is a child's dream with 3 sets of bunk beds and a large bathroom with a long sink and shower. All bedrooms have their own full bath. The washer/dryer are also on this floor. There is a special nook inside the backdoor for putting all those sandy shoes.
Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a king bed and full bath with two sinks. The kitchen, living and dining rooms are all open to each other. In the living area is a flat screen TV along with Apple TV. There is a bar area beside the kitchen with a small refrigerator for drinks and an additional ice maker.
The dining table is a large square which easily seats 12/14. An additional bedroom/TV room with a twin bed is on this floor and a half bath.
We have recently renovated and added an additional room off the living area that has comfortable seating and another TV. This room has nice gulf views and lots of windows.
An open porch on the front of the house runs the length of the house and has great water views. This is the perfect spot to spend the day relaxing or even napping.
There are stairs off the back of the house that lead to a third floor deck. The most popular place in the house!!
Prior to check in at Rosemary Beach there is a $707 cleaning fee. You might want to get your own damage insurance.
In the summer season the rental period is Saturday to saturday .

Great house for a large family

We stayed here with 3 families (13 total). This was a great house for a large group. Great location in Rosemary only steps away from crossing D. Only challenge was only 10 place settings of silverware, so bring plastic ware for a large group.

Mother daughter getaway

We had an amazing time during our mother/daughters trip, and this house was absolutely perfect for us. It provided ample living space, and the bedrooms were wonderfully spacious. The kitchen was well stocked, making it a breeze to prepare meals, and we loved sipping on our glasses of wine while enjoying the porch. The house's location was ideal, as it was conveniently close to the boardwalk for easy access to the beach. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Beautiful home in one of the best locations in Rosemary. Plenty of space for our large family to both spread out and be together. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well appointed, everything you need for a fantastic beach vacation. The owner was very responsive and helpful! We would definitely stay here again, thanks for a great trip!

Perfect location!

We have stayed for many years in Rosemary and this home is a perfect location! The owner Elizabeth, was very helpful & nice! Everything in the home is very comfortable. Beds were comfortable, which is a big deal! Kitchen is stocked with anything you need! We used the ice maker a lot! I am a designer so I wish some things were updated to current trends but overall the home is great. This home has two masters. One up, one down. Love the room with two queen beds! We didn’t use the bunk room but if we would have had more people with us, it would have been great! The third floor deck is lovely to watch sunsets! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!

Fantastic House!

We recently stayed in the McDonald house - 2 families,: 4 adults, 6 kids (ages 5-12). We have rented in Rosemary multiple times and this is now our favorite home. LOCATION: The location is perfect... on a walkway to the beach, close to pool, green space and the shops/restaurants. INTERIOR: The pictures do not do the interior justice. The layout is great. There was plenty of room to spread out. We cooked all our meals and we weren’t missing one thing in the kitchen. Plus there was more than enough seating for our group of ten (seating for meals and seating to relax). All the beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms (not just the two TRUE masters). The bunk room is huge! The third floor deck is a great place to hangout with its ocean views. The wrap around deck was also an enjoyable place to relax. I should be embarrassed that this serves as a highlight of the house... but they have a new high end, large capacity washer and dryer (with six kids that don’t know how to hang a towel and change after every swim, we really appreciated the new machines that aren’t pictured in the photos). The home also has an outdoor closet that was fully stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, etc. Owner: The owner was responsive, thoughtful and made sure we knew everything we needed to know and had everything we needed to enjoy the home. I would book this home again and again!

Great multifamily house in Rosemary. Walking distance to everything.

This house has it all. Great roof top with perfect views. We went with 3 families (8 kids in all). The house was perfect and the gave us all plenty of space. The owners were very responsive to questions and proactive about our stay. They kitchen had everything we needed. Perfect walkability to the beach, pools, sugar shack, and tennis courts. We will be back (maybe at the guest house if it is just one family).

Great Family Gathering

We thoroughly enjoyed our family gathering at the McDonald home in Rosemary Beach. It had a wonderful open kitchen, fully equipped, and a large den for the family gathering. The dining table was great for at least 12 people. It is close to the beach and downtown restaurants/shops. The kids loved riding the bicycles around town. We highly recommend this home for a family vacation.

AWESOME HOUSE

Great house! Our family has stayed in many houses at Rosemary over the last 10+ years. This is the best. Everything about the house is top notch-location, furnishings (most comfortable beds ever), kitchen, house layout for family gatherings, owner's professional nature etc. There is not a better house in Rosemary. This house is not cheap but it is worth every dollar and we will be back. Rent this one and you will not be sorry.

Great vacation!

We just returned from a fantastic trip with four families at this house and it was amazing. The layout is very conducive to entertaining and group interaction, but there is also plenty of space to get away for some quiet alone time as well. Every bedroom is spacious and the kids' bunk bed room was almost as much fun as the beach! The house is located very centrally, steps away from the beach, two pools, and the shops and restaurants of Rosemary. We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for a great time.

Happy family from Memphis area!

18 (11 adults and 7 children) of us stayed in this beautiful home and carriage house! It was so roomy, and there were plenty of places to sit inside and several porches outside so it never felt crowded. The location was wonderful being across the street from the beach access, and the pool was only two blocks away. I would highly recommend this property, and hope that we can return there again!

Awesome House for Families and Kids or Big Groups

We stayed here in October 2011 for my kids fall break along with 4 other adults and a total 6 kids. The house was perfect. Very close to the beach. I have stayed in houses that face the East Green and this location is just as close. Awesome kids bunk room and bathroom. Very nicely furnished so that you feel like you are in your own home and tons of sitting space in the family room with lots of couches and comfortable chairs. All the bedrooms are spacious other than the small room close to the kitchen which we had a crib in. The screened porch that faces the beach has ocean views and is perfectly placed off the kitchen and family room. HUGE family room, kitchen, den, and dining room that essentially make up 1 big room. The other porch is huge and has good furniture including rocking chairs. Plenty of parking since it is on the corner. One of the best features is how close it is to the town. I would say it is less than a 5 minute walk from the downtown area. Will definitely rent again.

Comfy vacation spot for 2 big families

This house was ideal for our group. The photos do not accurately describe how wonderful this house is to spend a week in. It was clean and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped for cooking in, which we did most nights. The owner answered all of our questions re: beach chairs, internet access, towels, music player, etc. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and relatives. We would recommend crabby stoves as a hidden gem of a restaurant just a quick walk down the beach.

Great Family Vacation House!

We stayed in Elizabeth's beautiful house right after the July 4th holiday. We had my family + father, stepmother, grandchild, sister and her husband and kids so the house was full. We never felt like we did not have enough room. The furnishings are great and the kitchen is top of the line. Had all of the amenities so we were lacking nothing. We grilled, cooked and ate well + is only a few steps to the beach access. The kids had a blast! as well as the adults. I would highly recommend and will go back.

Best Home in Rosemary

Our family has been to Rosemary 6 times in the past 8 years, so we've experienced many properties at Rosemary all of which were south of 30-A. This was by far our favorite visit and the McDonalds' house was the main reason. You simply cannot beat the location, floor plan and "flow" of the house - ameneties such as probably the worlds best shower (the pressure is unbelievable), fabulous/spacious kitchen, porches, furniture, and incredibly comfortable beds are what help to make this property spectacular. Plus, this home has a certain quality you cannot describe - just feels really comfortable and relaxing. This is the only place where we want to stay now - as the old expression goes: "we're easily satisfied by the very best." So now that we've found it, why look anywhere else?

Ideal Vacation Found Here!

The McDonald house in Rosemary was absolutely perfect. We went as a group of four couples and cannot say enough about the house. The decorating was beautiful and the attention to detail was amazing. The house is so inviting and comfortable and sets the tone for a fun filled and relaxing vacation. The kitchen was designed for creating scrumptious meals and feeding a crowd with very little effort. As they say in real estate, "location, location, location". The house is located directly across from the walkway to the beach and a quick walk to the pool. We would highly recommend this house and know that you would love it - pack your sunscreen and you are set!

our Favorite house in RB!

We have been to RB many times. This is the 2nd time we stayed at the McDonald House and we just LOVE it! It is perfect for a large family or two families. The huge bunkbed room can sleep 6 kids. We took our 5 children & two nannies & still had plenty of extra room. Beautifully decorated & steps away from the beach walkover. It has everything you need. The mgmt company will even have rental cribs, highchairs, & bikes waiting for you at the house. The only snafu for us was the stairwell was too wide for the babygate we rented so we had to be extra careful in watching the babies around the stairs. The owners are delightful. This house is a gem!

This home is located at the perfect spotin th heart of Rosemary Beach. Fabulous beach views, amazing designer interiors, a kitchen and dining area that is fabulous for large groups and plenty of room for dancing after dinner. The kids had a blast in the bunk room and al three adult couples had great space. An irreplaceable home to create wonderful memories. A 3 minute walk to to pools or town nd a one minute walk to the beach.
