Eckington Cozy & Private Unit + Free Gated Parking
Beautiful, quiet space in Eckington! Fully furnished basement unit with good light and a big back yard. Very private with separate key-less entrance. Kitchenette, Washer/Dryer, Free Parking in gated yard. Close to two metro stops (red line), bus lines, and Capital Bikeshare. Short walk to Union Market or the heart of Bloomingdale.
This basement apartment, with a separate bedroom is perfect for a family or friends visiting the city. There is a double/full bed in the bedroom for two. The futon in the living room could possibly fit two extra guests (ideally for two kids or one adult), making this space especially cost effective. Small kitchenette (with pots, cooking/serving utensils) for quick and easy meals. Coffee and tea are always fully stocked. There`s a washer and dryer in the unit, which you are welcome to use. The space is compact yet super cozy. It feels like your home away from home and has all you need!
The entire unit is all yours. The only restrictions are the power panel and the two closets behind the couch and TV stand. Guests also have access to the big backyard with outdoor furniture and gated parking. Key code will be provided prior to arrival for self check-in.
We`ll be available by text or email during your stay. We live upstairs, but you likely won`t see or hear us. We share the backyard with our guests and you may see our dog out there occasionally. He`s very friendly and loves pets. Please do ensure the door and gate in the yard are closed at all times.
Our neighborhood is cute and quiet close to the center of DC. We are just a short trip away from downtown, U Street, 14th Street, Union Market, Shaw and the H Street Corridor. Several small restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance.
Noma-Gallaudet University and Rhode Island-Brookland Metro stops (red line) are both about half a mile away. The red line offers access to the heart of DC including Union Station, Metro Center, and DuPont circle. Capital Bikeshare is just two blocks away. Take the G8 Bus on Rhode Island avenue straight into the heart of downtown. We are about 1.5 miles from Union Station for Amtrak, regional trains, and busses. 15 min car ride from Reagan Airport. Our location is also right off the MBT (Metropolitan Branch Trail), a great bike trail and running spot to get around the city.

Clean, cozy, well situated location with private parking available- a huge plus in DC. Host was very communicative and accommodations were comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay in Jeff's unit. It was cozy and perfect for our party of 3. The unit was clean and well appointed. A big plus was the gated parking with a remote for easy access!
The place was as advertised. Clean and suitable for what we wanted. Mainly a place to sleep get a shower and some coffee in the morning. If you are a larger perso. This might not work for you as it gets a little tight in some.places; but for us it worked very well. Check in and out was super easy.
Not only was the unit clean, easily accessible and inviting, our hosts were a huge asset to a good time in DC. They left a full list and map of the neighborhood including excellent places to eat and fun things to do. The location of the rental unit is perfect. We cruised around on rented mopeds and saw every monument, memorial, and museum. We only stayed three nights but it would’ve been comfortable for much longer. Thank you hosts! We truly felt at home.
This was a cozy space. The owners had on hand a great welcome binder with information on everything. We also used the parking space which was a huge bonus. We parked and walked while there.
