Lake View 5 Bedroom (2 Master Suites) / 4 Bath / Private Dock

This remodeled and updated two-story home sets on 2.5 acres in the Jackson Branch cove near the 4 mile marker. There are no steps leading to the house and there is ample parking for your vehicles and trailers. The house provides a lake view and access to a private dock via walkway and long series of stairs or you can drive down to eliminate approximately half of the steps along the walkway and stairwell.

There are king master suites on both floors and three additional bedrooms providing beds for 14 people. A large sectional couch and other open spaces allow additional sleeping. The master baths each have a tub/shower and the two additional bathrooms (one on each level) each have a shower.

The upper living area has a large sectional sofa providing over 21 feet of seating, a 70-inch LCD UHD television, and is surrounded by 270 degrees of windows allowing a view of the lake. A second living area on the lower level has a 55-inch LCD UHD television.

The furnished kitchen has a pantry to store your own food and drinks and a second refrigerator is on the main level as well. The 11-foot dining table seats 14-18 people with additional seating inside at the bar and outside on the deck. A large six-burner barbecue grill is on the upper deck near the kitchen. A screened-in porch and patio are on the lower level.

The private dock has a 12' x 32' swim platform with slide,12' x 28' covered boat slip and a covered pwc slip with lift available for you to use. A kayak and paddle boat are also provided. Several nearby marinas offer boat and pwc rentals.

Others features include high speed internet, cable/satellite, Blu-ray/DVD player, new mattresses, and a front-load washer and dryer.

Established pets are welcome. Please ensure you are declaring pets on your reservation so the $100 pet fee is applied. We will also send you a pet addendum to complete and return.

Great place for families!

We loved this home. The living area and dining area are set up so perfectly for large families to hang out together. We all enjoyed the dock with the slide. This home was perfect for our family!

House was very nice and fit 17 people comfortably. The kids absolutely loved the dock and being able to swim right by the property. The walk to the dock was a longer one but doable. Owner was great at communication. Would definitely stay here again.

The house was great! Clean and well furnished with plenty of room for the entire family. The owner was very responsive when we had difficulty with the internet. Thank goodness for GPS since the roads in the area where difficult to see at night.

Our family of 12 had a great time and great vacation. The kids loved fishing off the dock. We floated in the lake around the dock most of the day. Convenient location. Clean. Had everything we needed. Plenty of space. Quiet area.

Extended family getaway

Our family of thirteen had a great relaxing vacation here! It was so enjoyable having our own private dock to swim off of and to dock our rental boat. The house is a nice size and updated nicely. It had a very private beautiful yard. The house was well stocked with towels, soap, and kitchen ware.

Great place to stay

The house was spacious and clean and accurately listed. There are multiple common areas where my family could gather to play games or just hang out. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and it had 2 refrigerators. We got a lot of exercise walking the steps down to the dock. There is a convenience store nearby for quick trips and a nice shopping area a few minutes away. Although we had no issues, the owner was quick to respond to any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay.

Affordable and Spacious

Overall we had a great stay! The trek down to the dock is lengthy and definitely not the best for older folks but the road halfway helps. There isn't really an accessible shore which was only an issue if you bring dogs that like to swim. The house itself was a spacious and clean. Minor inconveniences with the septic system but besides that, we didn't have any issues!

Great house but read listing

This house was great for us when it came to everything except one. The walking path to the stairs to the dock was a lot more difficult than the listing made it seem. It was a good hike up and a scary one down especially because we had three babies multiple kids and one women was pregnant. The listing doesn’t let you know that there are 112 steps between all the staircases and a good distance on the walking path too. The listing does state there is stairs and a walking path though just wish it was a little more detailed of what it entailed. Great way to keep those vacation calories burned off though!

Weekend stay at Rocky Mount

We really liked this 5 bedroom house at Rocky Mount. This house is located on one of the side channels on Northside of the main lake body which was great as it was very quiet. It is nicely remodelled and has some great features. We think it's 4.5 star house but that's not a choice. Pros - - Nice and quiet - Private dock - It came with couple paddle boats and Kayak. - Fully remodelled house Cons - No swim vests - 162 steps to get to private dock - We found some dog hair on sofa and few other places.

Clean Comfortable Accommodations

Our family of 8 adults and 8 children stayed at the Steve;s lake house. There was plenty of fridge space, couch space, and dining room table seating for everyone. The kitchen was well-appointed with sharp knives and good pots and pans. The air conditioning kept up on hot days. There is plenty of parking out front and on the side. We had four vehicles and probably could have fit 2-3 more if we needed to. The flat-ish part of the grassy back lawn is big enough for lawn games. The hike to the lake probably takes 5 minutes and is doable by a 5 year-old (with a only bit of complaining). It is steep in parts with loose gravel, but manageable. The dock has covered seating and was nice. After we arrived we realized we would need to run to Walmart to pick up lake towels for everyone so we wouldn't ruin the nice white bath towels. Aside from that, I think the house came with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and we hope to come back in the future. Thank you Steve!
