We enjoyed staying at this apartment. We were walking distance to restaurants, shows, the famous La Rambla, shops, and more. The apartment was cleaned and the host was friendly and hospitable. Also, the host helped us with recommendations to eat nearby and places to see. We felt very comfortable the entire time and most of all, safe. We highly recommend you to try this apartment if you are looking for a center tourist location in Barcelona.

Central, spacious apartment

Very spacious and airy. It was clean and mostly well-equipped (no tea spoons or larger mugs), although we didn't cook there. Lovely bathrooms and showers. Ample sitting room/dining room area. My bedroom needed blackout blinds/cutains as the light from the lift shaft was very bright. The owner was very friendly, but a little slow to get back to us.

Underneath a brothel

I guess I missed the description that states the apartment complex houses a brothel. There were women all day and night escorting men up and down the stairs. This happened well into the night and you could hear the door slam and people scurrying up and down, made for very interrupted sleep. The women even approached my teenage son and elderly father. One night the pimp was up arguing with one of the girls, yelling at her at 1 am. Not a very enjoyable stay and definitely do not recommend for families.

The apartment is in an excellent location, near Las Ramblas, shops, restaurants and metro. M., was excellent in her information about the property and the local area and provided us with a map and told us all about the places to visit. Could not fault her. Inside the apartment, certain things could do with an upgrade, the towels were basic (not full bath towel), the spices in the cupboard were all out of date, and the balcony doors need attention, but overall good holiday.

Could be Nice but Was Not

Good location and layout but the apartment smells bad, is dirty and the living furniture is stained, shabby and uncomfortable. The linens were cheap. The walls are stained. The window treatments are dilapidated. This could be a great apartment but needs some serious work.

In the event of any problems during a stay, we rely on guests to report directly to the keyholder on the spot so a solution can be provided as soon as possible. Nevertheless, this house always contains air fresheners. The cleaning could also be reported , so staff can be sent back to do more cleaning if necessary. However, the apartment was thoroughly cleaned a few days ago to prepare for the new season. Currently, the furniture is very good. Perhaps the discoloring spot on the sofa from sunlight may be a little uninviting, as it is only the part where the light hits it directly. Please be assured that the sofa is in good condition. After the high season, the walls in the apartment will be painted between 30/04 and 05/05. The windows are aluminum, new and good. This apartment has a good location and a nice layout. With with renovations, it could be quite nice. The space has a bad smell which seems like mold or worse. It is partially masked by oil diffusers. The walls are dirty. The living room furniture consists of two old, gross, discolored and lumpy/ uncomfortable couches. Signs of decay are everywhere: from walls and furniture to the tattered and stained window covers. The beds are comfortable but the pillows very old and thin.

Great but with a few negatives

First the location is perfect. Easy to everything and we felt very safe. Spacious enough for 5 of us and the beds were good. The negatives include the showers. After running into another guest on the elevator, she said it was explained to them that only 2 people can shower and then wait for 50 minutes for it to reset. This would have been nice to know after a few of us took cold showers. Also, every apartment we go to in Europe has washing machines that don't dry well. We asked for a drying rack since it was mentioned by my elevator friend, but it was never brought to our room. We used chairs and balcony to air dry. We were given a very quick overview of how to use the washing machine because I asked, but had to figure out the dishwasher and microwave. Appliances are very different from the US, so a simple instruction page in English would be helpful. There was some street noise as it is a busy area, but nothing terrible. There are a lot of stairs, which were mostly dark and cluttered with housekeeping supplies the higher up you went. Overall we had a great stay and really enjoyed Barcelona. I would stay there again now that I know how things work.

Ho trascorso con la mia famiglia 4 adulti e un bimbo 5 giorni fantastici. L'appartamento si trova ad un passo da plaza cataluña e las Ramblas, ottima posizione, all'interno di un bellissimo palazzo. Grandi dimensioni con bello e luminoso soggiorno pranzo con vista, dotato di tutti i confort. L'accoglienza molto efficiente oltre che gentile e disponibile. Ottimo!

Mixed experience

Property itself was adequate. Beds were fine, place was clean and located close to restaurants and night life. Check-in process was bad. We were left standing on street in front of property with our luggage while woman checking us in was half hour late. When she showed up, she was indignant that we asked why she was late and blamed it on another customer with no apology. Later, when property ran out of toilet paper, we called property manager who told us to call vrbo TO GET TP. So in the end, managers could not have cared less about any type of service. Property was adequate beyond customer service.

Great location! Large apartment

Location is perfect and close to everything. The apartment is large and in an older building. It was perfect with easy access to all nearby sites. However, the home is a little older and the internet was slow.

Pleasant staff, spacious, good location. Clean floors. Bed comfy enough. Elevator broke during our stay, so had to walk up & down 5 flights. Was reported but never repaired. Wall had large chunks broken off. Apt needs paint. Shower soap rack broken. Towels & linens old & rough. Pillows old, lumpy. Balcony dirty w/ broken shutters. Dryer inefficient. Clothes iron old, dials illegible.

Location famille

L'appartement est bien situé près de la rambla de catalunya. Métros, bus, petits supermarchés 24/24H, restaurants, cafés à proximité. Bel immeuble ancien bien entretenu et sécurisé. Cuisine complète, lave linge et sèche linge séparés bien utiles. La petite chambre aux lits superposés n'est pas vraiment adaptée à de grands enfants et très confortable niveau literie. A part la chambre avec un grand lit, il n'est pas possible d'ouvrir les fenêtres qui donnent soit sur l'intérieur de l'immeuble, soit sur les tuyauteries, comme pour la cuisine. Un peu bruyant sur la rue mais bien isolé. Très bonne équipe chez interhome, réactive, joignable et à l'écoute.
