SunsetShoresMaui offers unbeatable PANORAMIC OCEAN, ISLAND & SUNSET VIEWS from your nicely-upgraded, recently remodeled condo, located literally steps from the shoreline. Our PRIVATELY-OWNED and independently-rented condo, is named for its location and great sunsets on the famous coastline of west Maui.

SUNSETSHORESMAUI is our pride and joy. It is our home on Maui and we maintain it to high standards. Oceanfront, views of Lanai and Molokai, End Unit, Wrap-around lanai, 3BD / 3Bath, thoughtfully furnished. We have it all!

We are the actual OWNERS and truly care about our guests because you are OUR guests--not the guests of a rental agent or booking site with limited knowledge of our condo. Memories of your Maui vacation will last a lifetime.

Walls of glass in the living room and dining room provide amazing views of the ocean and shoreline. The ocean becomes part of the condo! We are not exaggerating when we say that the location and view are incomparable, and our many returning guests will agree. The sunsets are incredible!

During the winter, you can even watch the whales from inside your condo. And year-round, the resident turtles swim along the shoreline. Relax and watch the surfers and ocean activities from your large lanai. Or swim from the shore (ocean conditions permitting).

SunsetShoresMaui is on the second floor of a 2-acre tropical low-rise resort and is ideally-located for privacy and relaxation. The resort recently underwent a year long renovation with new windows and doors, new exterior siding, and improved common areas. We have a newly-renovated oceanfront heated pool area with a new spa, new gas bbqs and social area with great views of Molokai and Lana'i.

If you are coming to Maui to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island and the sea, then this is where you want to be. The uncrowded tropical grounds are a wonderful spot to relax, enjoy the fragrant Maui breezes, gaze at the ocean, watch the surfers ride the waves, sip a tropical drink, and watch the sea turtles as they swim by. No hidden additional fees. Our only charges are the nightly Rent, plus our Cleaning Fee, plus Hawaii Taxes of 17.92%. The Host Fee listed on this site is our Cleaning Fee. As OWNERS, NOT Property Managers or Rental Agents, we do not have additional fees. We do not have control of any other charges or Service Fees that may be added by this site.

* Second Queen bedroom, Main Level: Pillow-top queen-size bed, tropical bamboo flooring, and its own flat panel smart TV.

* Main Bedroom in Upstairs private loft: Newly-furnished with a comfortable Sealy Hybrid king-sized mattress and newly remodeled bathroom with great shower and vanity area. Smart TV.

* Linens and Towels, including Beach Towels, are provided.

* Our condo and its lanai are NON-SMOKING (no smoking, vaping or e-cigs) as are all of the common areas of the property. No animals permitted in or on property.

* Living and Dining Rooms are well-furnished for your comfort with ample seating, a cathedral ceiling, new 55" Samsung smart TV, with Bluetooth sound bar and those wonderful VIEWS!

* We think that the view from our dining room is better than most of the restaurants on the island. And you have your choice of dining inside, or outside at the table on your lanai...both are great options!

* The remodeled open kitchen has custom cabinets, granite countertops, quality stainless appliances, and a kitchen island. It is fully-equipped with everything (and more) that you need for a great meal. Service for 12.

* Bathroom and large shower are newly renovated in the loft bedroom.

* Fire Sprinkler system in entire condo.

* New flooring, windows and doors in entire condo.

* Walk to the local Farmer's Market up the street for tropical produce and baked goods.

* Mahinahina is the name of our location. We are SIX (6) MILES NORTH of LAHAINA...midway BETWEEN KAANAPALI and KAPALUA. We are conveniently close to shopping, restaurants, and golf courses. But, most importantly, we are far enough away from the noise and congestion of the busy resort areas so that you can enjoy the natural beauty of Maui, which we assume is what you came for.

As the actual OWNERS of SunsetShoresMaui, not agents or managers, we obviously think that it's a wonderful place to stay. After you have stayed here, we are sure that you will also agree. We have taken care to furnish the condo to be comfortable and have everything you need for your vacation. We are hands-on owners who take great pride in our Maui home.

Beautiful place, great location!

We stayed here with 3 adult couples. The condo had everything you could possibly need. It was clean and ready when we arrived with fans on. The minute you walk in, you see the ocean and have views from everywhere. The property was very neat and constantly being looked after. We had 6 adults and never felt cramped. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Maui!

Wonderful Week in Paradise

We had a wonderful stay in Marilyn and Jim’s Maui home—5+ stars! It’s in a small condo association that is quiet and folks are very friendly. The grounds are beautiful, pool is great, poolside grills are cleaned every day. The condo is a well-cared for home and had absolutely everything we needed for the beach and cooking. We whale watched every day from the lanai and sunsets were beautiful. Although we didn’t snorkel ourselves, we watched other guests enjoy swimming amongst the turtles just off the shoreline. We took their recommendation and booked a whale watching tour with Triliogy. It did not disappoint. Condo street location affords sidewalks for morning walks or runs and is within walking distance to coffee shop and fish market. The fish market is excellent. We bought fresh caught fish a couple times and grilled that up for dinner. Kapalua Beach is just a short drive, as is Whalers Village. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the island. Thank you Marilyn and Jim for sharing your home with us.

Best VRBO ever. Amazing Views. Beautiful!!

We had the pleasure of staying at this stunning VRBO property in Maui for our Christmas vacation and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking sunsets, enchanting rainbows, and the magnificent sight of whales in the distance. The views alone made this stay exceptional. The grounds were meticulously cared for, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. The property was well-organized and equipped with all the amenities we could have ever wished for. Snorkel gear, beach chairs, and towels were readily available, making our beach adventures a breeze. The well-stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare delicious meals, and the cleanliness and elegance of the entire space added a touch of luxury to our vacation. One of the highlights of this VRBO was the beautiful balcony that offered sweeping views of the surrounding beauty. We spent many memorable moments taking in the scenery. The pool and jacuzzi were the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring, and they added an extra layer of comfort to our stay. Marilyn, our host, was incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring that our communication with her was seamless. Maui memories of a lifetime!

We loved our stay at this rental. Incredibly well stocked and marked. Marilyn was very responsive to any questions and clearly left instructions making our trip no hassle at all. The lanai provides a lovely view and sunsets are amazing! The property itself was close to Laihaina and it was easy to find. There is no AC at this rental. It is fine in the morning and the evenings. However, in August during the day it can get a bit warm inside. Other than that we had a wonderful stay! So thankful to have wonderful memories to cherish.

Absolutely could not have been better!

We had three adult couples traveling together - and we all could not have been more happy with Marilyn's place. We had plenty of room, and the location could NOT have been better. The entire property is in an amazing spot, but we'd argue that Marilyn's condo is the best of the entire group. We ate on the balcony many nights and sat there every morning. We didn't want for anything in the kitchen. Easy travel to close public beaches, but we also "sat on the beach" right there at the condo a couple of days (not much sand, but sheltered and cool, and it was beautiful and we could run back up to the condo for lunch, bathroom breaks, etc. We used the pool and hot tub every day. We were nervous about no A/C - and while there were a couple of nights (remember that we were there last week in June) that were a bit warm (with all windows open/fan on) it was never too much, and by the time we were sleeping it was totally fine. We echo what others have said about the unbelievable sounds of the ocean crashing just below us that were oh, so soothing. Lots of things that were walkable (farmers' market, coffee shop, etc.) and only an average of 50 minutes from the airport. We plan to be sure to book this exact same place when we come back!! Great location

Wonderful views. We felt with the view and ocean sounds that we were as close as we could possibly be to the ocean. The very well-kept grounds, quality condo renovations, excellent pool and hot tub, closeness of shopping / restaurants, and stocked kitchen accessories was extremely comfortable and we spent quite a bit of time at the condo. When we took excursions it was nice to come “home”. We positioned the fans and pulled down the shades in the late afternoon to keep the cool in but in the evening put up the shades and enjoyed evening sunsets as the tiki torches got lit and the conch calls signaled the sunset. We took a bit of an adventurous snorkel off the beach behind the condos. Once we got past the rocks we swam with turtles and collected some shells. I will miss falling asleep and waking to the ocean and bird sounds. We will be back.

Paradise

We so enjoyed the condo view and accomodations! Marilyn has everything you need labeled, a welcome basket, a lovely book with local information and pamphlets. The sound of the waves is so comforting, condo was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fresh air and had no difficulty sleeping without ac. The fans and open windows kept us cool. There are beach chairs and snorkel supplies, with plenty of beach towels with a tote. Best VRBO rental ever! Thank you Marilyn for sharing your slice of paradise!

Thoughtful, beautiful condo

We came here for a small but long overdue family reunion and had an absolutely wonderful time. As soon as we walked in, we were in awe of the view of the ocean and sunset/horizon, as well as the beauty of the condo. Everything was tastefully decorated, beds were so comfortable, and the kitchen supplies wonderfully stocked. We had brought a sound machine for our baby, but found we didn't need it as we had the real deal with the ocean right at our doorstep! As an aside, Marilyn was also very helpful to work with directly prior to our visit. I had a few mishaps in booking (i.e. using the wrong credit card, as an example), and she was patient and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful time, Marilyn!

Vacation in Paradise

We spent six days in paradise at this beautiful condo which had all the amenities of a luxury hotel with more privacy. The condo which is an end unit had an unobstructed view of the water and we enjoyed seeing turtles and whales migrating from the porch. This condo was comfortable and in excellent condition…a big thank to the owners for their wonderful hospitality!

Fantastic Thanksgiving Stay

This condo was perfect for our family. We felt it was the best one at Polynesian shores, being an end unit. It was closest to the ocean and part of the balcony was private. The unit was clean, up to date, and very well equipped and was 'as advertised' on vrbo. The owners were super responsive, the check-in process was flawless, and abundant guidance was provided for enjoying the local surroundings and Maui in general.

fantastic condo

spacious, clean, fully stocked! and that wrap around lanai with those views is not to miss! everyone from my mom to my little 6 yo niece enjoyed our stay in this condo. we started each day with coffee and breakfast on the lanai and ended it with sunset on the lanai. i love this area of maui..not as hot and dry as other areas. i like the occasional clouds and rain too. close to local businesses, like coffee shops (did i mention i like coffee), food venues, shops. trying to convince a group of friends to come stay with me at this condo again in the future!

Sunset Paradise

This unit was everything as advertised. It has the best location in the complex, with excellent views of the ocean and sunset from the living room, dining area and wrap around balcony. No a/c but the many windows and ceiling fans helped keep us comfortable. We were steps from the ocean. The pool and barbecue area appear refurbished and were very convenient. This is an end unit which allowed for a private feeling. Not far from Napili and Kapalua beaches. The unit is remodeled and in excellent condition. We appreciated that it was well stocked with modern conveniences. We also made good use of the beach chairs, umbrella and snorkel gear. It was everything we expected and more. We will recommend to friends. Thanks Marilyn for use of your condominium unit. I think I would like living in it year round.

Awesome Maui Getaway

I bought my family a trip to Maui as a Christmas present and told my wife to go on VRBO and pick out where she wanted to stay. She spent hours looking for the perfect location for our adult family of 5. Sunset Shores Maui was everything it claimed to be. A Beautiful view, nice and modern condo, clean property, quiet yet centrally located, and so much more. . This was my first time using VRBO and I was nervous, did not know what to expect, and was a bit tentative when I finalized the booking. We were very well informed of expectations by our host and she graciously answered all my questions accurately and timely. She eased my concerns and I am so glad we chose this place to stay. We will definitely be staying here again.

5+ STARS ACROSS THE BOARD

Start to finish our experience was incredible. The house was incredibly clean (so clean we felt we had to clean it a bit ourselves before leaving), resident neighbors were friendly, and the location is great for those wanting to travel the west coast of the island. There is no A/C which I thought would be an issue but with the ocean breeze and open windows in May we were more than content, I even slept in the loft bed. Marilyn was just fantastic to work with, simply put.

Beautiful Home with Amazing Views!!

Our stay was amazing at this gorgeous home with fabulous views! The views were even better than the pictures show. We would definitely stay here again!! Close to Lahaina and Whaler’s Village. This home and location is exactly what we pictured Maui to look like! It was very, very clean and everything was exactly as described. So nicely decorated too. Grounds are beautiful. Marilyn is so kind and helpful! There is a book with recommendations and information which was so thoughtful. We also saw so many sea turtles! Amazing property

We stayed the end of February and was immediately welcomed with a breathtaking view as soon as we opened the door. The sound of wind and waves was constant, which provided the breeze needed instead of AC. Watching whales from a distance and the surfers provided a lot of entertainment. The islands from either direction provided postcard quality views. Be aware there are stairs to get to the unit and smoking areas are not convenient. There was only one problem I had and that was leaving.

Great location

We spent hours on the balcony watching whales and turtles. Close LaHaina for dinner and shopping the the evening. The only issue is there is no air conditioning which wasn’t really a problem for us.
