Spectacular view with beach access, perfect for a family getaway!

The La Bahia condominiums have an outstanding beachfront location in the center of Half Moon Bay, an area known for its uncrowded beach and great snorkeling. From here you're only a short walk from Akumal Bay, its pristine beach and many of the local restaurants and boutiques.

This unit has a spacious open floor plan and draws from traditional mexican design with bright colors and painted tiles. The master bedroom is furnished with a king bed and an ensuite bath. The second bedroom has one twin bed and one double along with its own private bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and the dining area will comfortably seat six people with extra seating at the counter bar. The living area has a large and comfortable seating area, a smart TV with Netflix access, and is surrounded by a spectacular view of the caribbean. The private terrace has been fitted with another seating area, making it the perfect place to sip your morning coffee, enjoy a romantic evening, or simply relax and experience the ocean air and sun.

La Bahia #3 is a great value with a spectacular location. The La Bahia condominiums are professionally managed with staff who are attentive and happy to assist you however they can.

KINDLY NOTE: South winds may bring Sargasso Seaweed to some beaches throughout the Caribbean, including the Rivera Maya. While the situation is hard to predict for each specific week and area, we would like you to be aware as there is the potential to impact the beach and water entry.

The Riviera Maya is full of natural beauty, places to explore and opportunities for outdoor activities. We have a great list of activities and adventures completely unaffected by the arrival of sargasso that we would love to share with you. There is so much to see and do in this special place, we know that you will have an amazing and memorableĀ vacation!

Great spot right on the beach

Lovely condo right on the beach. The place was clean and comfortable and the location was great. Loved being able to hear the waves and walk right out onto a quiet beach. Highly recommend!

Loved our vacation!

Cozy beach condo

We loved this cozy condo on the beach. It was perfect for our family of four. Don Miguel was a gracious host, and Rosa kept it clean and comfortable. Very well managed. Highly recommended!

Great Getaway

Donna, Just got back from a great vacation at your condo in Akumal. We snorkled most days, and saw lots of turtles and exotic fish. The view is fantastic, and accomodations were comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the local restaurant fare was delicious. We could have stayed another week.

This was our second trip to stay in LaBahia #3 and we loved it as much this time as we did our first trip. The condo is clean and spacious, the staff wonderful and the view is outstanding!!! Magnificent Condo and 2nd time back!

We just loved this condo so much we came back exactly one year later for another visit. The amazing views, the amazing staff, the locals too... all amazing. We even got to watch baby turtles leave there nest and run to the ocean! This condo is great for families, couples or a friend group getaway. If your looking for a quiet, spacious, relaxing stay in a beautiful hidden gem of a beachtown, this is definitely the place!

Wonderful for our family!

We loved this place. It is the perfect size for a family of five. Plenty of closet and storage space. The kitchen is well-appointed with all the essentials. The view is amazing! Marcial, the caretaker, was very friendly and resourceful. The place is very clean and bright. We loved it!!!

Right on the beach

Clean, close to everything in Half Moon Bay and Akumal. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Linens, beach towels, shampoo, dish washing detergent, spices. Air conditioning if needed, large water cooler, nice size refrigerator. Right on the beach, plenty of chairs available. Snorkeling is always amazing. Very helpful employees. Would stay here again.

Amazing vacation

The condo was absolutely perfect. What a location! The food in the area is unbelievable. We rented bikes. We rented a golf cart. We loved the beach. Everything was perfect. The location of the beach is the best in the area. The condo is immaculate. You canā€™t go wrong with this place. The concierge was very helpful. All the people in the area and locals are very nice. We loved it!

Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! From check in to check out! Everyone was super attentive. We had an issue with the electricity and they were right on top of it! The hosts were very responsive! :) I would definitely come back and stay! Housekeeping was there and came every other day which was perfect for my mother and myself!

Quiet, no crowds, had the beach pretty much for ourselves and beautiful views from the balcony. walking distance from la Vita Buena restaurant. Snorkeling directly from the front. It is a rocky sea floor and beach shoes are needed. We found a sandy path about 100 yards from La Bahia. Santa Cruz Cenote is awesome. The Maya Taco restaurant in Acumal pueblo, delicious food.

Beach is a no go. Sea grass up to three feet tall stacked on beach. Smells terrible.

All though this is a beautiful condo, this will be my last visit. The last two times visiting Half Moon Bay have been disappointing. Sea grass is stacked on the beach three feet high and emits a disgusting aroma. If you are looking for a beautiful white sandy beach you will not find it in Half Moon Bay.

A serious piece of heaven...

Staying at this condo in Akumal was a serious piece of heaven... The private location, amazing panoramic beach front views were amazing from sunrise to sunset. The decor, the bedding, bathrooms and other condo amenities made our stay simply amazing. The staff in the office were very kind and always there to help. They also had beach cruiser bikes to rent for 7$ a day that made it easy to get into the town. If your looking for a romantic getaway, a girls getaway trip or even a family trip without al the hustle bustle of a city, this is the place. The town has plenty of restaurants and convenient stores to supply your needs. Just a few doors down there is a restaurant called "La Beuna Vida," we literally ate their for every meal. Also, the owner was very easy to work with and seems to be a very kind person. We most definitely will return!!!

Beautiful condo in great location

I have been to Akumal, including Half Moon Bay, many times. This was my first stay at this property. It was clean, well appointed, secure, had excellent service from the office and housekeeping staff, and is on one of the nicest sections of beach on Half Moon Bay. When we were leaving for another city, my son buried his special stuffed animal in the sofa cushions and we didn't realize it when doing a final sweep. A few hours later I called the property manager and he had the housekeeping staff locate it and set it aside at the office for me. When we came back through Akumal several days later, it was waiting for us at the office. I cannot thank them enough.

The owners thought of everything to make it very comfortable with all the amenities one would need for staying there and doing some cooking (even thought I didn't cook there). Very comfortable bed, ceiling fans, ACs units... Very well decorated and just overall a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. My friends who were staying in neighboring-nearby condos thought mine was the best. Great location as well. Friends and I rented bikes and enjoyed the ride south over to the dive shop and restaurants. The onsite property managers (Alex and other guy) were very helpful when needed. I would highly recommend La Bahia #3 to all my friends.

Great Beach Experience

I would highly recommend this Condo in Akumal. It had a true Mexican vibe and was decorated beautifully. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were comfy. Two bathrooms were a plus. Unfortunately, the seaweed moved in a month early but that did not take away from the view and our walks on the beach. Restaurants are close enough to walk and a small grocery was practically across the street. Our concierge was very helpful and actually found us a taxi for 5am when the taxi that we had paid for at the airport did not show up. Do not buy a roundtrip from the airport. Lesson learned. The one thing I would recommend if you do not have a car is to rent a golf cart. They are very handy. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

What a View

What a great place! We left wishing we had at least another week to enjoy the peace and beauty of Half Moon Bay. The condo is so beautifully Mexican with bright colors, interesting tile work, and even the dishes are colorful. The Condo is spacious with two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bath. The kitchen has all one needs to prepare meals, and we felt totally spoiled by daily maid service, replenishing towels as needed and even washing dishes we hadn't gotten to yet. Fellow condo occupants were friendly.and made us feel right at home. If you don't want to cook, fun beachside restaurants are close at hand. The office staff was helpful, and I would recommend the day trip run by Community. Tours into the Sian Ka-an Biosphere. You can also rent bikes or golf carts for alternative transportation. We definitely have this at the top of our list for a return trip to Mexico. Thanks for a great time.

Just what we were looking for

We had a great time and the condo was the perfect size for the 3 of us. It was nice and clean and had the traditional Mexican look that we enjoy. Again this trip we didn't rent a car so the bicycles we rented from the office worked perfectly to get around. The Sargassum (seaweed) was a bit of a mess in Half Moon Bay but our grounds keepers kept our beach nice and clean every morning. :) The water was somewhat rough while we were there so we spent a few days snorkeling at Yal Ku Lagoon and Turtle Bay and even did a day trip to snorkel Cozumel. We haven't stayed in the area for 2 years but found the area restaurants were still just as good as we remembered. In the past we have stopped in Playa Del Carmen for groceries but this time we just shopped in town for breakfast and lunch items at the little markets and found the prices very comparable to Walmart. We also appreciated the little store that's half a block away for those last minute items or drinks. I would recommend this condo to anyone who doesn't have problems getting up and down a couple flights of stairs. The views are as amazing as advertised.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Akumal is one of our favorite Mexican locales. We travel to the Riviera Maya frequently and have stayed up and down the coast. Akumal is a charming community not yet overtaken by overdevelopment and modernization so if you are looking for a more 'original' place to visit, come to Akumal. This was our second stay at LaBahia #3. The new ownership has made many wonderful improvements and updates this second time around. Unit 3 is spacious with breathtaking views from the deck. It is lovely to hear the waves lap (or crash) on the shore and you can hear them anywhere in the unit. We loved the daily maid service included in the rental fee so the place was always tidy and clean, and the management company staff, located on site, were all exceedingly helpful no matter what the question or need. With only 8 units in the building it was easy to feel right at home. It is located about mid-point of Half Moon Bay so the location could not be better. From LaBahia you can walk to several restaurants nearby and even into town to take in more of the local flavor. We'll be back.
