Spectacular views on the lake! Relax in the shade on the 800 sq foot deck with your morning coffee or an evening beverage. Welcome to Anchors Away!

**UPDATED PICTURES 2025 of living room and renovated upstairs bathroom** The home offers 2500+ sq feet of living space. Large living room with 55" tv, and great views! (Chimney came down and replaced with French doors) Large fully equipped eat-in kitchen and attached dining room. We have a game room with another tv and air hockey table. Also a master BR on the 1st floor with queen size bed featuring sliding glass doors to the deck, and a full bath. Laundry facilities are on the first floor.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 bunk beds (twin/twin and twin/full), as well as a full bathroom.
The home has everything you'd want for fun on the water: a private boat dock with swim ladder, backyard space to play lawn games, and an expansive deck for just relaxing and enjoying the views.

You'll be less than a mile to the Publix, 3 miles from Mountain Creek State Park and 10-15 minutes from everything in Mooresville or Denver, inlcuding shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Just what our family was looking for

Our family will remember our visit fondly for years. Its location to a grocery store was perfect and we spent much of our time sitting on the back deck, taking in the beautiful view.

The House and location are awesome. With a large group of 8 people, there was plenty of space for everyone. Bring your boat or rent one like we did and enjoy this place.

Great time at the lake!

The home was quaint & cozy with an awesome location right on the lake. The owners thought of everything you might need to enjoy our stay….right down to phone waterproof pouches when on the doc. We would stay at the house again.

Great time!!

Great time. House was perfect for our family. Enough room to spread out when alone time was needed. We enjoyed swimming boating and fishing. Situated in nice area close to stores and restaurants. We all wanted to stay longer.

Great Spot on the Lake!

Great location on the lake for boating and waters ports. Rented a Pontoon for the week and the supplied kayaks were well used. The house is very roomy and clean. The deck is very large and always has some shade throughout the day. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Beautiful lake views & spacious home!

Overall, we had a great experience. The home was large and lake access and views were perfect. We did need to get more towels and sheets for one bed. I did clean some when I got there due to many spiders and webs in the house.

lake vacation

House was great and we had perfect weather. The only thing I would suggest is put a step down sign on the sliding glass door to the side porch. My husband went flying, but luckily didn't fall. I would definitely stay here again. ML

Great long weekend!

This was a perfect getaway for Memorial Day weekend. The house has a beautiful view of a large bay on Lake Norman. House is very comfortable, clean, well located. The many deck chairs, hammock and two outdoor dining areas made deck life super relaxing. Indoors, kitchen was extremely well supplied and labeled, large dining area was great for meals and playing cards and games. Swimming off dock, use of kayaks playing corn hole were hits. Nearby Mountain Creed State Park has nice hiking/biking trails. Website description of property is very accurate, Booking confirmation clearly explains what cleaning and paper supplies are needed so there were no surprises! Highly reocmmended!

garbage was a problem

house was outfitted well,the problem was the garbage.bins were almost full when we arrived on sat and filled them up when we left it was a leaky smelly mess!!!!!

Perfect for large families

We loved it! 2 adults, 3 teenage kids. Plenty of room. Brought our boat. Loved the house and lake. Home owner was incredibly accommodating and responsive. Easy to follow instructions. Great location to shopping. We would LOVE to go back.

Perfect Spot for Relaxing

This house was perfect for our stay. The location on the lake is amazing. It sits off the main channel in a wide cove, so the water is calm enough for swimming and paddle boarding. There is a huge level yard with a firepit and plenty of chairs on the deck. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. All of the beds were comfortable and there are plenty of extra pillows and blankets if you need them. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions before and during our stay! Your family will love this property.

Wonderful Lake House!

My family and I really enjoyed our long weekend at this wonderful lake house! The view of deep water, but not on the busy main channel, is fantastic! We fished and caught several fish including a large mouth bass off the dock. My kids loved fishing, playing air hockey, swimming and floating in the lake, playing in the big backyard overlooking the lake, and eating all of our meals on the deck patio dining set while watching the lake. The house was clean and roomier than expected. The owners are very attentive, and respond quickly. We had no problems and really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely come back soon!

Perfect location

This was the perfect end of summer getaway with family. We had perfect weather to enjoy the outside area and dock/ swimming ladder. The house was clean and the air hockey table was a bonus that was not shown in pictures of house. The beds were super comfortable.

Summer vacation

Our family enjoyed staying at Anchor’s Away. The property has a convenient location. The dock was great and not far from a boat ramp. There is plenty of parking for truck and boat trailer and a couple other cars. The patio had lots of nice furniture and the owner communication was great. It was a little hot upstairs but there were fans provided that helped. My children enjoyed the air hockey table. We would definitely stay again.
