Winter playtime is here in Winter Park and it's time to get outside. This condo is a good base camp for a family. The garage is really handy for keeping snow off the car and gear dry.

Welcome to our spacious townhouse in the beautiful Fraser River valley. Enter through the ground-floor garage where you can pack and unpack out of the weather or offload and store bikes after a great ride. Walk up to the second floor where you will enjoy a Stunning View of Byer's Peak from the living area and balcony with grill. The Living area has comfortable seating, HDTV (Cable, surround sound, DVD and iPod player, FREE WI-FI), wood-burning fireplace (FREE firewood!) in 2-story rock wall, dining area (seats 8), and well-equipped kitchen. Behind kitchen is a bunk room (sleeps 3) with another TV and bathroom. The third floor has the king bedroom with private bath and balcony and queen bedroom/loft with private bath, and laundry facilities. We also have a port-a-crib. The shared, year round pool, hot tubs, and sauna are a quick walk away (100 yards), along with racquet ball, tennis (in season), hoops, and workout area.

The town of Winter Park and downhill ski area are just a few miles away. This is a great spot for one family to stretch out, or for two families to spend great time together. No noise from upstairs or downstairs neighbors.

Recent upgrades include all new windows and doors (no drafts), new mattresses, and HDTV.

If you want ski-in/ski-out, this is not the place for you. But, if you want the full mountain experience accessible to you, you will love this condo and this location! Skiing is convenient to us, but so are many other things! Our living room offers stunning views of Byers peak and sunsets. In the summer, take advantage of hiking, fishing, and mountain biking. If the weather is bad, work out in the Clubhouse where you can also enjoy a swim, a soak in the hot tub, or a game of racquetball. Sometimes there is almost too much to do. But if you want to do nothing, you can just sit back and enjoy the great view from two stories of windows in the living room in front of a crackling fire. Skiing opportunities abound at nearby Winter Park and Mary Jane. Cross country skiing is also excellent with back country trails nearby and groomed trails at Snow Mountain Ranch and Devil's Thumb. Spread out with one family, or have fun with two families.

You can leave your car behind when you go alpine skiing at Winter Park (6 miles away) or Mary Jane or go into Winter Park using the convenient shuttle bus that stops 50 yards from the townhouse. You will have access to the Clubhouse(1 block away) that has year-round outdoor swimming and hot tubs, fitness area, racquetball, and tennis (seasonal). There are many restaurants to enjoy in Winter Park and just down the hill in Fraser. Or take advantage of our fully outfitted kitchen. Groceries are available about a mile away.

About Warren and Katie Day

We are a family of 4 living in the Denver Area. Two older children and two way-beyond-school aged adults complete our family. We love to spend time outdoors and in the mountains, so Fraser is an ideal location for us.

Why Warren and Katie Day chose Fraser

We chose to buy our townhouse in this location because it is convenient to so many things...outdoor activities and necessities. We are close to world-class skiing (alpine and cross country), tubing, hiking, fishing, and biking, to name a few. The grocery store is only a mile away and is easy to buy all your grocery items on the way into the condo or to just run out for something. Swimming, indoor racket ball courts, and hot tubs are just a quick walk away.

What makes this townhome unique

We love having the fire going and watching the sunset out the front window. It is very open around the condo, so it is fun to get out and take a walk in the 'neighborhood'. Some trail systems are very close, so it is easy to get out into the woods during winter and summer. We enjoy preparing and eating meals with friends and family on a cold winter's night, or a cool summer's night.

Second Time's a Charm!

We loved our stay here last year so much, it was a no-brainer to re-up this year. Property remains quiet, spotless, comfortable, full of fire wood, in great condition and full of charm. In a world where everyone seems to be over complicating their lives, this setting reminds one of the simple pleasure found in sitting around the fire playing board games with your family after an epic day of skiing. Thx for the reboot!

Great ski condo

Great condo! It was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was very well-stocked, including sharp knives and lots of spices. It was perfect for 4 adults and 4 kids with the air mattress.

Just what we wanted and needed.

The condo was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children. It was easy to get to the stores and to the skiing and sledding areas. Also just a short walk to the rec, center. The rooms were cozy and we were able to adjust the rooms to any desired temperature. We did not use the fireplace but the firewood was easy to get to if we wanted a fire. And the view was beautiful. We would stay there again.

Can't wait to get back

We absolutely loved our stay and are ready to go back again! Condo had everything we needed. Very well kept, very clean and well stocked. Having the garage made the mornings go smoothly when getting to the slopes. Washer/dryer in the unit was awesome as I didn't have to spend day time doing the laundry. Owners were great to deal with - went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The hand written note along with the wine and cookies were an extra special touch. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Cozy and relaxing condo

We enjoyed our stay at this condo March 8-11, 2017. The kitchen is well-stocked making cooking meals easy! The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The place was clean and had extras like a boot warmer, sunscreen, handwarmers, and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool down at the Clubhouse just a short walk from the condo. We were greeted with a lovely tin of cookies, bottle of wine, and personalized postcard from the owners. In the evenings we enjoyed movies on Netflix on the television and other shows on Hulu on the Apple TV that is provided. The condo is about a 10 minute drive from the ski slopes of Winter Park. We drove to the parking lot across the street from the WP Ski Resort and then took the shuttle from the parking lot into the ski resort which drops you off at the top of the village so you do have to do a bit of walking through the village with your ski gear, but our kids are pros at this and handle it well. We will definitely consider a return visit to this comfortable, cozy and clean condo!

Winter Park Ski Trip

Great property with super views, right on the shuttle bus route and just a few minutes from Winter Park. Well appointed townhouse with many nice touches (sunscreen, hand warmers, laundry soap, cooking spices) not normally found in vacation properties. Very clear, detailed prearrival instructions that made for a smooth start to our ski trip in Winter Park. The enclosed one car garage was a bonus during the two snow storms (no need to clear off the snow!!). Location was very convenient to the slopes, shopping, restaurants, and other area recreation options. Owner even had a personal note and a bottle of wine waiting for us at check in. There were four adults in our party, no issues with space or feeling confined. Gas grill and washer/dryer were clean and easy to use. This townhouse should be on your short list for your next trip to Winter Park.
