The Great Escape - Near everything yet off the beaten path

Located in the Shenandoah Valley our cabin is located on a quiet street on a 1/2 acre lot. The backyard is fenced for big and small dogs. On the back porch is a nice gas grill. A few steps down is a hot tub. The hot tub is nice especially when returning home from a day of hiking in the Shenandoah National Park which is only 20 minutes away. Inside the home are two bedrooms, each with a king size bed. We furnish wireless internet and satellite TV. I will email you a list of activities that are all close to our cabin. There is something for everyone at The Great Escape.

Peaceful stay near mountains

Hosts were very responsive and the cabin was more spacious, brighter, and cleaner than we expected from the pictures! Beautiful cabin with lots of pet toys, wipes, etc. Good dining table for boardgames. Our company had a great weekend.

Perfect weekend getaway from NOVA

My family rented this cabin for a weekend away from home - but not so far away. The cabin is clean, well stocked and was easy to relax in!

Cozy cabin

Such a nice getaway and so very cozy. We spent the weekend here as a getaway following our wedding. It was a quiet area and the layout was great for me with mobility issues and the yard is incredible and a great place for dogs, we had our service animals with us and the amenities they provided for dogs were great too. We will definitely try to stay again.

Such a view!

Lovely cabin with all amenities, and a wonderful view, too. We greatly appreciated the perfectly fenced yard for our dog. We noticed all guests want to return in the house notebook. We do, too! ThankThsnks!youyouyouwonderful

Another Perfect Escape

We have stayed in the Great Escape multiple times. It is always clean, comfortable, inviting, and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and a short walk to the National Forest. Our dogs have a wonderful time playing and exploring in the large, securely fenced back yard. Communication with the host is great, they are very helpful and responsive. I travel to the area to visit and do family research fairly often. The Great Escape is always my first choice for lodging.

nice stay once again

had a great stay again with my 36 yr old daughter and her pup. Bedding is so comfortable and everything is clean and well cared for. Look forward to returning again soon

Perfect Mountain Home Away from Home

We have vacationed at The Great Escape more times than we can count. We keep returning because it is a wonderful cabin. It has everything we need - fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable furnishings, convenient location, etc. It also has some very nice extras including a nice hot tub and a fenced in backyard, which is great for the dog. Don and Lina are excellent hosts and make communication easy. We hope to return yet again soon!

Great Stay in Shenandoah Area

We just got back from our 5 day, 4 night stay in the Great Escape. We loved the cabin. It was super clean and comfortable. We were able to hike in Shenandoah easily from the cabin and experienced the greatest night sky on the back deck every night. The kitchen was a great plus as we cooked breakfast every morning. We highly recommend and are already planning on our next stay.

Quiet and Relaxing

Open concept cabin with beautiful fenced in back yard. Very clean and very cozy. We made dinner almost every night and the kitchen had everything we needed including grilling utensils. We loved the hot tub for relaxing after our hikes and the front porch to sit and chat. The bed was very comfortable and having two bathrooms was super convenient. My husband and I have stayed at many VRBOs and this one is in our top 2. Thank you Don and Lina for a wonderful vacation experience! Susan and Roger

Weekend Getaway

Fantastic cabin near Shenandoah National Park. Had a great time relaxing in the hot tub and in front of the fire place. Our pup also enjoyed the fully fenced-in backyard. Well-stocked too!

Shenandoah stay

The property was perfect for our stay in the area for a family wedding. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Relax and Unwind

This is the cleanest and most organized VRBO we have ever stayed at! Don and Lina were very responsive everytime we had a question. Their property is located within 30 min of Skyline Drive and several caverns and has a gated yard our two small dogs loved. Front and back porch are great to relax on!.

Great place to stay!

We came to the Shenandoah Valley to do some hiking with our two dogs. This cabin was perfect! We loved the pet goody box and the fenced in yard. The property was quiet, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it!

Perfect relaxing family vacation spot!

The cabin was perfect! Clean with lots of space to relax. The hot tub was relaxing each night, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals and the daily visits by deer and bunnies was a highlight for our daughter. Very comfortable! Highly recommend for any family visiting the area!! The owners were flexible and even let us extend our stay!

Another Great Stay
