Our 18# cocapoo Jax enjoyed the huge yard to play fetch with his ball, she even had doggie bags. the home is beautiful with comfy beds. Very clean. We went twice to Chipmans Wharf for lobster, amazing lobster rolls with good prices. We also went to Acadia National Park, enjoyed the complimentary bus to several locations. I would book again.
Our stay here was very nice. Everything is as described and Rachel is an excellent host. This home is very nice, comfortable and clean with alot of special added touches. The property is beautiful.
We really enjoyed Millbridge and the Stanley home. The home is very comfortable and the grounds are gorgeous. Rachel, the hostess, was a great communicator.

So happy you enjoyed our home! Would love to have you back. Thank you for being superb guests! ❤️
A wonderful cape style home with every amenity you can think of. Each bedroom had its own a/c, comfortable bed & room darkening drapes. The living area is comfortable & cozy - more than enough room for the 4 of us. Immaculately clean. Owner extremely easy to communicate with. Only 90 min to Bar Harbor. We will be back!
The house was perfect for our group of 4. Clean with comfortable beds. We arrived at the tail end of a heat wave and the window AC units worked great. The house was overflowing with New England charm and tons of cool decorations/antiques. Highly recommend- off the beaten track but still plenty to do nearby.
House was very very cozy and accommodating. The grounds are meticulously manicured. Easy to find with the sign outside. Pure clear skies to see all the stars. The host was right on top of everything.
We have family in Milbridge so it was great to be able to stay close to them. This house comfortably fit 8 of us. Cozy living room, very nice kitchen, comfortable beds, and easy communication with the owner. I'm sure we'll be back!!
Our trip was splendid. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond to communicates. Check in and out process was quick and easy. Bedrooms are well furnished. House was a bit closer to the road then we thought based on pictures but not to bad. Thanks for the memories!
Homey and a great farmhouse feel. Beds are super comfortable. We are a family of cooks so the cooking equipment was a little disappointing, we made do. Overall it was a great experience.
This was our first visit to New England, and it was made even more special by our stay in this beautiful house! The house was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the frog pond, fire flies, fire pit, and all the personal touches throughout this charming family home. Rachel was wonderful to work with! We highly recommend this property, and we would love to return here again!
The house was beautiful and extremely well stocked. Everything you could ask for from extra towels to flour to a lg lobster pot was available. The location to Acadia was excellent, especially Winter Harbor and Schoodic Point. Rachel was fantastic to work with, all communication was prompt and friendly, and the info on the area given ahead of time as well as available in the house binder was much appreciated. I’d certainly recommend this house to those looking for a nice, quiet, clean, homey, well located rental.
The house was nice. A large kitchen and everything you needed for cooking was there. The living space was good and the beds are comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning as there were lots of mosquitoes outside. Thankfully we did not need to open the windows. The yard was beautiful! The wood fire pit and the gas fire pit are great! We had a nice time.
We traveled with our 3 teenagers, my parents, my brothe, his wife and 3 kids. As soon as the door opened I heard so many Oooooo's and Ahhhhh's! Everyone in our group was so impressed with the beautifully decorated home. This home also has a fully stocked kitchen! It made lobster night at the house so easy. This was a first time for the kids to experience lobster and they all loved it. The drive to Acadia National Park is about an hour which was not bad and is actually a beautiful drive. Bar Harbor has so many cute gift shops! We supported almost all of them. I love everything about this home and would highly recommend it to anyone! The owners are very accessible and quick to respond to emails or text. My favorite part was the beautiful display of Robert Stanley's firefighter uniform and helmet. He must have been an amazing man! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!

Ohh Jenny, your kind words have touched me. My father was the heartbeat of our family. Your visit has allowed us to preserve his home and memory and for us to keep this beautiful home. Your love and care along with your visit makes us so very grateful. Please come back and visit us again. ❤️
Beautiful home, sweet location. Spent our days hiking and our evenings by the fire pit or in the warm living room playing music and visiting. Nice, big, well equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Experienced such a cozy, comfortable stay in this wonderful home! Plenty of room to spread out or to get together with friends/loved ones inside and out. It is truly a family home, and the hosts thought of everything to make your stay a comfortable one. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cozy stay away from the crowds but close enough to where you want to be.
The trip was amazing. The house was perfect. Very nice and cozy. Felt very welcomed. Rachel was great to work with. I would rent again. We all had a great time.

About the host
Hosted by Rachel Ellis
This property has been in our family since 1980. My parents bought the property when my sibling's and I were little. My father remained in the house until his passing in 2018. This was our childhood home and my twin brother and I could not bare to let it go. Therefore, we decided to renovate it to preserve it as a family vacation home but to also allow others who desire to spend time in this heritage rich downeast community the opportunity to enjoy what we love about this place. It is our hope that our family home will be able to support itself through your rental and enjoyment. If you mention Robert (Bob) Stanley, you will surely meet many locals who know what an amazing person my father was and is.
