My husband and I bought the Mountain Peaks Motel Jan 2021. Since we purchased the property, we did a full renovation for all the rooms. We are conveniently located at the heart of Leadville. Walking
You will have the entire room to your self. This includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The room also includes a TV with direct TV services, a small dining/working table. Towels and bathroom essentials are provided. We have a private parking lot where guests can park, we do our best to plow the parking lot, but when it snows, inevitably it will become slippery, please be careful walking in the parking lot. No smoking is allowed on the property inside or outside. If you need to smoke, feel free to go to the sidewalk next to the property. Enjoy the best dog friendly motel in town.
You have access to your room and the parking lot. We are in the process of building more common areas to provide a even better experience, stay tuned!
We love chatting with our guests and do the best we can to ensure the guest have a great experience! But we also want to respect if you want your personal space. Just don't hesitate to reach out if you need anything or have any questions!
We are right on the main street of Leadville. Two Mile Hi brewery is right across the street. There is also a gas station across the street providing basic services. We love High Mountain Pies, they have amazing pizza and wings, Tennessee Pass Café has one of the best brussels sprouts in town, they also have some delicious burgers/sandwich. If you are a meat eater, check out Qincys, their bacon wrapped fillet mignon is on point....they also serve prime ribs on weekends. All these restaurants are less than 5 minutes walk away.
If you want to check out down town Leadville, it's a short 5-10 minutes walk. We are also close to a bunch of trail heads and ski resorts. We'd recommend a car if you want to enjoy the 100 miles + trail system in Leadville or go shred at the skiing resorts. Enjoy this beautiful Leadville hotel. The Leadville Motor Lodge was in perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants. Dont judge by the outside - rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable and roomy. Would recommend and stay here again!
Room was as advertised. Good for overnight stay. Nothing special but clean and beds were comfortable. Didn’t use the kitchen but room has full size frig, microwave, and coffee pot.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room exceeded our expectations. We will definitely book again for future trips to Leadville. (This property is up-front about what it is, so read the description. This is a room in a renovated motel/lodge, not a full house.)
We were visit our son who lives in Leadville. Our stay was convenient to places we wanted to go and to his apartment. It was comfortable and easy to access. Ting and Pauline were great. Thank you.
It's a simple property and it was perfect for me. Keep in mind, the property is kind of like a motel. It's a main room with two beds, and then a bathroom. There's a shared community kitchen with two ranges to use, and I was the only one using the kitchen for cooking during my stay. The wifi was strong and reliable which allowed me to work without issue (including taking video calls). The property is located right on the highway through town so it couldn't be any easier to access.
I would stay again in a heartbeat! I had everything I needed.
Loved it! Walked in to lovely peaceful music playing with beautiful lights on. Knotty pine made it feel like log cabin. Immaculate! Even a little gift and fridge had water and soda. Location not the prettiest but you are surrounded by mountains so that makes up. I will stay there again!
When we showed up we were a bit skeptical because it is an older property typically run by folks that don't always care about the guest experience. Once we entered into our room we just loved the way it was renovated and the charm. We really liked that it was dog friendly and our pup was right at home. The walls are a warm and comforting pine wood finish and the lighting was a clever design with old style Edison Bulbs. It is an older property with the bathroom at the back but it was well restored. Even though it is dog friendly we never heard a peep from the other dogs. The bed was extremely comfortable with what I think is a memory foam topper. So the location is just perfect with an amazing micro brewery next door and a short walk from down town restaurants and bars. There is also a really nice kitchen available with two new ranges and lots of room to cook. We planned to hike the 14er Mt Sherman from the Leadville side and the road there was literally right across the street from the hotel. Our hike went great but we ran a bit late getting back down. The host, Ting, was very understanding and didn't give us a hard time for checking out a little late. This isn't the St Regis but its not meant to be. Its a wonderful little place with a wonder host. We loved this little gem!
Property was clean, comfy, and warm. The slippers were a great touch after a long day of skiing. The place felt more like a little cabin than a motel. Will definitely stay again.
Great room with large, very comfortable beds. Clean, newly remodeled bathroom. Lots of nice touches like soda in the fridge, granola bars, and ice cream bars in the freezer. We really loved our stay.

For the price, the facilities were quite adequate. The Hotel is in the process of being renovated by new owners. Being able to park directly in front of the room was a big plus for me. Room #1 is the largest room they currently have available. The hotel is located very close to down town, so walking to the shops and restaurants is a breeze.
