Recently renovated Shoreditch warehouse conversion. 1,400 sq feet, two bedroom apartment on the 1st floor. Superbly designed with impeccable detail. Both bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes. Additional guest WC. Large lounge/dining room. Ergonomically designed kitchen.
Right in the heart of vibrant/trendy Shoreditch, the artist/musician centre of London currently. Close to a myriad of restaurants/bars but on quiet street so little street noise.
10 minutes walk (or short taxi ride) to either Liverpool St underground/overground train station or Old St underground station. Both provide easy access to the rest of central London. Stansted and City airports have direct express links to Liverpool St station.

The hippest area in London.....currently!
Great bars, restaurants, nightlife but on a quiet street. Easy access to the sights of central London.
Early check-in was accommodated (thank you). The flat was quite clean, and someone was on-site to orient us to the apartment on arrival.
The apartment is spacious for Europe. There is a grocery nearby (4 minute walk on Great Eastern Street). It's about a 7 minute walk to the nearest tube stop (Old Street on the Northern line).
There is no view of anything you'll want to look at from within the flat, but the flat itself feels great to be in. Modern lighting, high ceilings, tall windows. We are a family of 4 and the kids were excited and felt safe in the flat.
In agreement with other reviewers, don't count on the dryer to dry any clothes you may wash. If you're from the USA you'll find this to be very odd. Clothes that were in the "dryer" (which is, magically, the same device as the washer) for 3+ hours were not even close to dry. It seems they dry faster by simply laying them out.
The location of the flat means you have to travel some minutes to get to the destinations you want to see. The main attractions of London are spread out so this is, to some degree, the case for any flat. Being savvy with the tube/underground makes things easy. Otherwise you'll walk a lot or spend plenty of pounds waiting in traffic in Uber.
Not flat related: All the trains in Denver have air conditioning. Not so in London. The trains get rather hot and crowded when the weather is pleasant. I imagine this would be fairly awful when it's hot outside.
Overall, the flat was great for us. What would make it better? If it were close to the Piccadilly tube line it would eliminate some travel time, but it's just a few extra minutes when leaving/returning to the flat.
This apartment was truly worth the money, clean, modern, spacious and in a super convenient location. We loved it. It made our time in London even more enjoyable. Would definitely stay there again when in London.
Great apartment. Very clean and convenient. Very close to Underground stations. Would definitely stay there again. Owner was very responsive and good communicator.
There is some audible noise in street side bedroom from bar at end of street on weekends. The neighborhood is populated by young adults-- we were also awakened one morning by partying neighbors at 5am, but I suppose this is life in the big city.
This apartment was Great. It was exactly as described in the advertisement. Several pubs and restaurants within an easy walk, including a Pret a Manger for quick and easy breakfast and all-day food options. Walking distance to three Tube stops as well as easy Taxi service at Leanoad and Great Eastern. Super Clean. Well Equipped kitchen and baths. Beds were comfortable, nice sheets.
Four of us (2 couples) planned to begin our 3 week trip-of-a-lifetime with a week in London. After much searching, I was so happy to find this flat on VRBO! The owner was attentive and responsive from the very first contact, and was patient and prompt in answering all of my questions. As promised, I received the keys to the flat several weeks before our departure from the States. Upon arrival, the doorway on the narrow, quiet street was unassuming and nondescript. Up a single, steep flight of stairs and through the double-locked doors -- and then the door swung open and our breath was taken away!! The excellent photos and description of this flat do not do it justice!! It is beautiful, spacious, immaculately clean, very well-appointed, comfortable and modern in every sense of the word. The location is excellent -- an easy 10 minute walk to Liverpool Train/Tube Station, even less to Old Street Station. A few easy stops or transfers on the tube and you're anywhere you want to go -- seriously. It also rained the entire time we were there, and it wasn't even a difficult walk in the rain! The entire Shoreditch area has amazing street art everywhere, so it's a sightseeing treat every time you go out. The Griffon is a typical, low-key neighborhood pub about half a block from the flat. Lots of locals, a fun staff, and we had several good times and good pints there. It got very busy on weekend nights, but as we were out late anyway, it was no issue for us whatsoever. One of the most incredible architectural antiquities shops I've ever been in is about a 2 minute walk from the flat - we just stumbled upon it on our walk to Old Street Station one day - called Westland London, it is located in a large old church building on Leonard Street. There were also several other amazing-looking shops close by that we were sadly unable to get to during their regular business hours. Westland is definitely worth visiting even if you're not fortunate enough to get to stay in this flat. We spent every day out and about, from early morning till late at night, and ate at incredible restaurants -- Moroccan, Spanish, Indian, and traditional British -- but all were away from the Shoreditch area, so can't speak directly about any eateries close by the flat. Otherwise, highly-highly recommend this flat in every way! We hope to return to London soon and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
My wife and I went to London to visit my daughter who was also in London for her study abroad semester. This apartment met all of our needs. My daughter was able to stay with us for our whole visit and she had her own room and bathroom. Kevin, the owner, met us within five minutes of the taxicab dropping us off in front of the condominium building. He walked us through the apartment and made sure that we were comfortable. Everything was clean, and that includes giant thirsty white towels in the bathrooms. Our bed was quite comfortable, and the master bedroom is in the rear of the unit. It was quiet, comfortable and private. Large windows in the master bedroom have excellent window coverings. All the rooms are quite large. The master bedroom has enough room for a desk and this provided me with a great spot to keep my computer and papers handy for the occasional internet powwow with work. My daughter's bedroom faces the street and she did experience some noises, particularly close to closing time for the Griffin, a pub for a rather hard drinking crowd, which is located at the end of the street. In the bottom drawer of the master bed stand closest to the bathroom, you'll find a variety of adapters that allow you to directly plug in your computer and phone chargers. One flight of stairs to the condo, quite steep and shallow steps.
Internet access was adequate. Bandwidth did not permit Skype with video however. Hand soap and shampoo were provided and were excellent quality. In fact we liked it so much we went out and bought some of it (Molton Brown). The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The small washer/dryer had controls that were foreign to us and it took us a little while to figure out how to use it. We were able to start a wash load before we left for sightseeing in the morning, and turn the dryer on when we returned in the evening. Don't sit around and wait for a load to get done because you will wait a very long time.
Access to all the major tourist sites was a simple five-minute walk to the Old Street tube station. We purchased oyster cards, the electronic pass that allowed us to travel anywhere by bus or underground for a whole week for just £30 per person. It was not intimidating at all. We had no concerns about our safety at any time, and we frequently returned home at or slightly after 11 PM. Local restaurants met our needs. Chico Bandito,The Princess of Shoreditch and Eyre Brothers were all hits with the family.
