The Homestead Cabin at the Hillsboro Campground

Hang your hat in this convenient, private cabin located at the Hillsboro Campground in Hillsboro ND - a short 30 minutes from either Fargo or Grand Forks.

The cabin was built by a local craftsman and features a log interior. The cabin will sleep 4 with two queen beds - one on the main floor and one in the loft area. The kitchenette has a full-size fridge, stainless steel sink, microwave, toaster and coffee pot. A large screen TV on the main floor and a smaller TV in the loft will ensure everyone has their own space.

Enjoy grilling and outdoor eating on the spacious, wrap-around deck. Relax in the private hot tub and wood-fired sauna.

Would stay again!

We enjoyed this cute little cabin. It was perfect for our family of 5 when we had a weekend tournament in Grand Forks. We didn’t have time (or a fire starter) for the sauna but loved the hot tub and the grill. For improvements I would recommend fixing the door jam so the door stays closed without locking, and adding some more hooks on the walls (like they have in the bathroom) for jackets and swim suits and stuff. Adding a little folding table and chairs would be nice, since it was windy and raining when we ate. We’d stay again! Already recommend to a friend.

Charming

Ther property itself is very nice. I personally was disappointed that the grill in the pictures was not available to us to cook on. All we had was a small tabletop weber grill that was provided as a replacement. As we were basing all our meals on a full-size grill, this was a giant bummer to my wife and I. The property owner did offer to refund us our money, but we decided to stay and just deal with it all. Other than the grill fiasco, we had a relaxing time. I would have given a higher star rating, but with no oven to fall back on, other than the microwave, it was disappointing overall.

Lovely cabin

This small cabin is right off the interstate in a small campground that is mostly RVs. It's very cozy and has a nice size shower. There is a full-size fridge and microwave. It's not too far from Woodland Park, which is really nice for walking and is dog friendly. Only issue we had was that we didn't get any response to inquires we sent through Vrbo. We did get a response when we directly texted the owners. They were helpful when they did respond. Overall, we had a wonderful experience

It was ok

Overall the property was ready for me, heat was on, hot tub was running and ready. My only problem was the door jam was busted and therefore the door didn’t shut or lock. I put a towel over the large crack in the door and put a chest of drawers in front of the door to keep it closed. Happened to be there during a snow storm, so it was blustery. The location is overall quiet however it is right next to the expressway and just a few feet from town. Overall don’t recommend staying there alone! Might have been a bit over priced for me, but ya win some and ya lose some!

Awesome relaxation

Absolutely loved staying here! Would've been even better if I had been able to use the hot tub and/or sauna, but I didn't have time. Cabin is cozy but still spacious enough for our family of 5.

Great North Dakota cabin!

Loved the experience staying in Hillsboro! Cabin was perfect for us and clean. Enjoyed the hot tub and Sarah, the host, felt like family right away. We didn’t get a chance to use the sauna, but bet it was fabulous as well.

Great weekend getaway!

My husband and I spent the weekend here. It was incredibly relaxing, quiet (campground not filled due to winter), and comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect temp and such a bonus to have. Sara was accessible and responsive to all of my questions. We will definitely be back!
