Mother in law suite on our pecan orchard

We are sitting on 2 acres in Richmond Texas. We live here full time in our main house. We have over 20 pecan trees on our property. Beautiful year round. We have four dogs that live with us, my wife and two kids. We have three hens that you will see roaming around in the back of the property. We let them out between 7 and 8 so you will start to hear them around then. We are not using the mother in law house and would love guests to take advantage of the space.

The entire mother and law house is yours to enjoy. The studio home is approx 1000 square feet. The home features, a full sized bathroom with walk in shower ( no tub), a queen sized bed with a curtain creating privacy, a living room with cable tv, the sofa doubles as a queen sized bed if needed, kitchen and appliances, breakfast table. Step out on your back porch and enjoy deer passing. Also our beautiful chickens will be out keeping up with the pest control 😉. P.S. There is a pool on the property and is off limits unless prior arrangements are made.

Communication with the owner was prompt and they are so friendly! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Appreciated the extra touches.

Little House

Great neighborhood, very quiet. Decent property with large fenced yard. Our 13 yr old Lab loved being off leash for the first time in four months. Water has an odor. We would stay again.

Lovely Little Cottage

Our visit to the area was work-related for my daughter-in-law and I came along to care for the baby. The cottage worked perfectly for our needs! It was very clean for our little guy to crawl around. The kitchen had everything we needed. The guest house sits very close to the main house, but it felt very private still. It is in a beautiful area and we enjoyed early morning, quiet walks. It is gated and very secure. We felt like we were in the country, and yet it was a easy for my DIL to get to her work destination. If we are in the area again, we will for sure book again. For privacy, peace and quiet, this place is a home run!

Our stay

Over all the stay was okay. My biggest complaint is that they had the AC locked at 77 degrees. We arrived late at the house and didn’t notice this until it was super late. The pillows were either hard as rock or flat like a pancake. The showery connection to the wall was broken. The house is very cute. I would suggest to the owners to address these items. We would stay there again if the above was taken care of.

So adorable and comfortable - will definitely return !

I was in town for a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Workshop less than 4 miles away. I wanted somewhere quite and spacious. I didn't want to stay in a mid range hotel with paper thin walls and windows that don't open. This adorable house has a full kitchen, nice big bathroom, sitting area and dining table and a desk. It was perfect ! The owner Karen suggested her tranquil route for a run that I did everyday. Can't say enough good things...it was perfect ! OH - and I left my sapphire earrings behind which Karen is graciously mailing to me.

Great place!

Great place to stay, right outside of Sugarland. Very convenient to the event center. Very nice suite, world definitely stay here again!

Great place with lots of storage.

We stayed here between moving houses. There was plenty of room for us to store items between moves. The hosts were very accommodating.

Great place

My wife and I had a family function to attend in nearby Fulshear. The house was perfect for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful. We arrived very late the first night and the hosts were great in accommodating us on our late arrival. We'd stay here again for sure.

Thanksgiving Visit

Cute place in Richmond, Texas. I used to own a home close to this property a few years ago, so I knew the area and it worked perfectly for our return holiday visit with family. The set up for our 4-year-old pup was great, they had a food and water bowl, a mat for her to sleep on and a Kong, which Aqene immediately grabbed and played with. It is a quiet property and access is easy; although the main house is close, we felt we had privacy. For those not familiar with the area, there are grocery stores, a pharmacy, winery/brewery, and many restaurants close by, but when you are on the property you feel like you are secluded in the country. Due to the cold rainy weather, we did not see deer on this visit and the rooster did not crow. The chickens stayed in their hen house, but I can't blame them! This would be a great place in the Fall and Spring to enjoy the property and walks in the area.

Amazing Place

We stayed here for two and a half months and it really became our temporary home. They made us feel welcome. Accommodated all of our needs. This is by far the best VRBO I have ever stayed at and will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
