Right in the heart of the historic center of Caen (between Place Saint-Sauveur and Château ducal), a charming apartment, on the ground floor of an 18th century mansion. Each room is equipped with French doors giving access to the wooded garden and its terrace.
Free secure parking in our private courtyard, very convenient to walk around the city, since we are close to shops, restaurants and points of interest (abbeys, museums...)

75m² apartment in a row - Ideal for 3 people (5 people max),
composed of an entrance, an equipped kitchen, a master suite (160 cm bed) with shower room and toilet, a small single bedroom (90 cm bed) adjoining with shower room and toilet (accessible from 3 people or for 20€ flat fee) and a living room with sofa bed (160 cm bed).

Optional : breakfast (served in our dining room from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on the 1st floor) or delivery of pastries and fresh bread.

Beautiful Home. Beautiful City.

This home and gardens are beautiful. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, shopping, the Caen castle, and a great central location for our day trips. The host was inviting, responsive, and helpful.

Beautiful home in Caen

Wonderful location and host. Perfect location for getting to train and to the places we toured for WWII sightseeing. Very clean and host was thoughtful and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely property in a great location! Caen itself is a showpiece with marvels around every corner and it was all walkable from this charming cottage. It was absolutely everything promised - and in pristine condition! From the well equipped kitchen and relaxing bedrooms, to the luxurious comfort of the sitting room with its windows facing out onto the terrace and garden, we found this cottage to be a little oasis of calm in the middle of the old town. Elizabeth made check-in easy and provided us with information about the many sights to see, the nearest patisserie and other nearby shops and restaurants, not to mention the weekly morning market in le Place St Sauveur.Thank you for a memorable stay, Elizabeth!

Great place and location

This apartment in Caen is spacious, is an 18th century building and very unique but updated for the 21st century. Elizabeth was very helpful and a welcoming host. Location is ideal for walking through this ancient city.

Beautiful Property

This property is conveniently located to walking to the square where there was a wonderful market on Thursday. The apartment was beautifully decorated and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable, and the apartment was spotlessly clean. Schedule for the breakfast which is substantial and located in the beautiful dining room. Elizabeth plays classical music which is just a perfect way to start the day.

My husband and I stayed in this lovely property for seven nights last week. The property itself is a self-contained flat located on the ground floor of the owners’ B&B with its own little garden. It was very quiet & peaceful; indeed you would not have known you were in the centre of Caen. You could walk to the castle and also into the centre of Caen in under ten minutes. Gael and Élizabeth were very friendly and helpful hosts and nothing was too much for them. All in all, this property met our expectations of what an idyllic French house would be. We would have no hesitation in returning.

A jewel of an apartment

Nestled in the heart of the old part of Caen, this garden apartment is a sanctuary of peace. There is a warm welcome from the owners, who live on site, and their eye for beauty and attention to detail is very apparent. We had a wonderful time.

Lovely stay

Enjoyed a wonderful, but too short a stay in the apartment at Elizabeth & Gaël’s charming place in Caen. It is situated just a few steps away from a vibrant neighborhood with so many restaurants and shops. We were in Caen to explore nearby sites of Bayeux, with its magnificent tapestry, and the D-Day beaches and museums. Sadly, we did not have sufficient time to explore Caen itself. The flat was well and comfortably furnished and had everything we needed. The hosts were delightful, and very communicative and extremely helpful. Would certainly recommend!

A perfect getaway

This wonderful spacious apartment is located right on the edge of a large pedestrian zone, so it is beautifully centrally located. While the house has a feeling of history, it has all the modern conveniences you could ask for. There's a bright fully stocked kitchen (all you need to bring is some food), a living room, a small bed area, a bigger one (with an incredibly comfortable bed) and two baths. There is a fantastic private garden and there's also gated parking. Hosts were absolutely lovely, and it truly is a gem. Would recommend 10/10!

Very lovely property

This property was very comfortable, spacious and clean. We especially appreciated the private parking in order not to have to search around for long term parking. The location is superb! Close to food, shopping and sight-seeing, lots of local activities yet once inside the mansion it is very quiet. Our hostess, Elizabeth, was very, very helpful and courteous. The property is entered from the side so don’t be dismayed when you arrive and you don’t seem to see the same property that is pictured in the VRBO posting. The picture is of the front of the mansion, which faces a lovely enclosed yard. We highly recommend the property.

Eine schöne Woche in Caen

Die Unterkunft liegt in der Altstadt und ist sehr schön. Das Auto kann man hinter einem Tor abstellen, so dass man sehr beruhigt sein kann immer ein Parkplatz zu haben die Umgebung von Caen eignet sich sehr gut, um viele Entdeckungen zu machen. So zum Beispiel die Landungsstrände, Badestrände und viele interessante alte Städte mit hervorragenden Museen für Kunstliebhaber.

Top Lage, top Wohnung!

Wir habe die Zeit in der Wohnung sehr genossen. Freundliche und unkomplizierte Vermieter, haben ein entspanntes Ambiente geschaffen. Das Parken im Hof nimmt viel Stress weg und ist ein echtes Plus für eine Wohnung in so einer zentralen Lage.

Wonderful Caen

The apartment is spacious, the furniture all comfortable and everything clean. There are French doors in each room leading to a lovely garden area that we had to ourselves. The location is ideal, a short walk to the center of town and the tram yet very quiet. If we get the opportunity to come back to Caen we would stay here again. Also, our hostess was delightful and very helpful. Finally, the city of Caen was a wonderful discovery for us. We didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised.

The perfect place

Elizabeth was a lovely hostess and the place was perfect for us. We loved the charm of this 19th-century villa and the location was perfect - right downtown, yet tranquil. Communication with Elizabeth was easy, as she speaks both French and English. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful house in the centre of Caen

Elizabeth’s is a most elegant house with a lovely garden, just minutes from the central Place St Saveur. Elizabeth welcomed us most warmly to our comfortable rooms and modern bathrooms. Sitting in the salon, one feels like an 18th-century duchess. We recommend Boulangerie Marcel in the Place and La Casinière restaurant almost next door to the house. A great spot from which to visit Caen and the rest of Normandy.

Entzückend-charmant

Wer den Urlaub in einer ganz besonders schönen Ferienwohnung verbringen möchte, ein wenig wie in einem Schloss, trotzdem mit einem hochmodernen Bad, welches geschickt im Schlafzimmer verborgen ist, verbringen möchte, dabei nach nur ein paar Schritten im lebendigen Caen sein möchte, der ist hier genau richtig aufgehoben. Die Wohnung empfing uns super sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Jeden Tag von neuem bot sie, drinnen und draußen, viele Details fürs Auge. Dass die Normandie, mit Landungsstränden, das Pays d'Auge etc schnell erreichbar sind, ist ausserdem ein Pluspunkt. Auch in Caen habt es viel zu bestaunen. Danke an Elizabeth für das gute Kümmern.

Incredible Location

Location is steps from castle, restaurants, bars and shopping. We had a car, but 24hr tickets on modern tram system was only 4 €. Parking is secure at your doorstep. Owner is a delightful, kind and attentive host. The flat is a comfortable blend of quirky and modern. The master bath shower was top rate. We’d definitely stay here again.
