Fantastic House! 1900sf, 4 bed 3.5 baths, air, sleeps 8. Great deck. Near GMrec.

Our Black Butte Ranch Resort home is a wonderful and comfortable place in a very desirable location, at the end of a short culdesac near Glaze Meadow pool and rec center. We fully updated the original 70's cabin (except for two showers,) maintaining the cabin feel, but light and useful spaces. We added two additions, one being a beautiful family room with large windows, a wood burning fireplace and lots of comfortable seating. We have four sleeping areas that can sleep 8 - a king bedroom suite upstairs, a queen bed separated by barn doors from a bedroom with two twin beds and a king bedroom off the family room. Three and 1/2 bathrooms total are in the house. The well appointed, open country kitchen includes a large island/eating bar, a large 8’ table, updated appliances and many conveniences you’d like. It opens up via a sliding door to the 400sf mostly-covered and fully railed deck. The new, large family room has huge windows looking out onto the 1/2 acre property and towards the peek a boo view of Black Butte. You will find here a toasty free standing wood stove and a large sitting area for watching tv and enjoying the fire. We’ve recently added a game and puzzle table. We think the custom cement hearth, stone and mantle make this room pretty special. This room includes another bedroom with a comfortable king bed and 1/2 bath. You can access through a second sliding door the large, railed covered deck, which has an extended sunny deck area. The wall of windows in the family room offer great exterior views of pines, squirrels, and sometimes deer and coyotes. This original 70's cabin was nearly 100% updated in May of 2020 in a central Oregon decor and again lightened up with fresh paint and furniture in 2024. The washer and dryer are off of the downstairs main bathroom.

A wall mounted tv is in the family room and in summer a tv is mounted on the deck. In chilly weather, the wood burning insert in the kitchen and wood stove in the family room create an intimate and warm setting. The summer months give you the option of using our heat pump air conditioning system if it’s hot, which cools the first and 2nd floor areas. The deck has over 400sf of dining and outdoor sitting space. This upgraded, vaulted and elegant cabin is suited for a group or family of 8.

We built a 600sf addition of an attached but fully separate one bedroom suite & living area, for us to reside in! We love to share our home with our family groups, friends & their families, home exchangers and a few VRBO's but doing a total clean and move-out with each group has caused us to either not want to share or to create a space where we won't have to move out and be gone from our fantastic community of full time friends at Black Butte Ranch. All that to say, in this L-shaped addition that we were required by county code to attach to the main structure, we may be quietly next door, and available if needed for quick answers to your questions and recommendations for things to do and restaurants. We have two separate front doors however, two separate driveways, and the common covered & enclosed front door entry will be only for you with two lockable doors, so you can be assured you will have a private visit and vacation even though we are in the attached wing of our home.

We are on ½ acre, located at the end of a culde-sac within easy walking distance of the Glaze Meadow recreation center (multiple outdoor summer pools and one indoor year round pool with a fun swirly slide, a workout room, tennis and pickleball courts etc.) and gets very little auto traffic.

Out every window are pine trees, squirrels and deer. A walking/bike path is out back and around one side, taking you around the ranch as far as you want to go or up to the rec center via bikes or walking. This house is in a spectacular location on the ranch and will offer you a delightful vacation! Your clean, house trained, tick/flea free, nail trimmed and well behaved dog might be welcome if kept with you at all times or in a crate when you’re gone. Also on Air B & B.
