House 8/10p / 10 min sea / games / vegetables / unusual walks !
You will feel at home in our haven of peace and biodiversity, in the countryside and very close to the sea, 2 hours from Paris. Come and spend unique and simple moments, in all seasons: forest and seaside activities, unusual walks and restaurants that we have recommended, more than 300 board games (ludogite fr website), tasting of small dishes with vegetables and fruits from the garden, and cocooning comfortably in our comfortable gîte.
The gîte is recent (opening July 2022) and the first guests were delighted! (Reviews visible on Airbnb). The Princess and the Pea invites you to take a break in a completely renovated 1850 farm building, very comfortable, bright and spacious, recently renovated and made of flint, sandstone, brick and slate. Between our home and the Princess's, we produce fruits and vegetables, aromatic herbs and edible flowers, with rainwater recovery and solar panels. 2km from the golf course, 9km from the sea, sand and impressive white cliffs.
If you want to live varied and rejuvenating experiences, while letting yourself be carried away, you have come to the right address. We love sharing the keys to the little joys that make life so beautiful!... being together, laughing, eating well, exercising or resting, in the fresh air or in a good armchair... everything is planned! I will give you the addresses of our local producers. Yogurts cheeses ice creams beers fish Scallops, oysters and so on, you will enjoy it within a 10km radius! I will also give you the secrets of our favorite walks to enjoy the landscapes and the list of outdoor activities is long, 15km around: kayaking, sailing, golf, tree climbing, horse riding, hiking and cycling...
The accommodation is organized like this:
a large living room-kitchen room bathed in light with openings onto the garden to the North and a terrace to the South; 3 spaces allow you to sit in a convivial way: around the dining table, around the bar with its high stools and around the coffee table in the armchairs.
three large attic bedrooms upstairs and one on the ground floor with terrace to the east. Each room has two single beds or a double bed (king size) depending on your needs (to be specified when booking). 2 of the upstairs bedrooms have a sink and they are so spacious that we can add mattresses for additional children at your request, which can be slipped under the beds during the day. A comfortable convertible sofa is available in the living room for 2 people;
you will also find two bathrooms with shower and sink, one upstairs with WC, the other on the ground floor with separate WC;
children's furniture, toys, games and books available in a child-friendly space upstairs. If you wish, you can also settle into the most spacious rooms to play (or read... or work!), thus isolating yourself from the people in the living room.
It's the holidays, we'll make your life easier! you will find everything you need for your daily life: soap at the sinks, toilet paper, sponges, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels and dishcloths (let's limit the paper towels!), olive oil, salt and sugar, coffee and tea,...
The price: the price decreases depending on the length of stay, charges including heating are included. The newly installed photovoltaic panels on the south-facing roof provide us with green energy and your small everyday actions will help reduce energy consumption for the benefit of all.
Household linen and cleaning: Rainwater is collected in particular for watering crops but water remains a commodity to be preserved and the planet will thank you if you bring your sheets, especially for short stays! Of course, if you wish and notify us 1 week in advance, the beds will be made for €13/bed (which remains lower than the dry cleaning price). Likewise, the planet will be delighted if you bring your towels but we will provide you with them if necessary for €3/person. Forgotten beach towels? we can also provide you with some for €3/person. Sheet size: 200x80 single bed / 200x160 double bed / 200x140 for the sofa.

If you want some rest & peace, this is a nice vacation spot.
Little drive to pebble beaches, lots of chateau’s, little pitoresque villes and a surprising parc/zoo not too far.
The owner is very friendly and helpfull.

Good
The House was clean and big enough. The owner have been very nice an friendley and gave us many advices, were we can go. Unfortunately the house is a little bit far away from many attractions, what made it to much driving, all the time. The beach is reachable in 10-15 Minutes by car an there is a really pretty little town near. The only thing, what ,made it a little bit unattractiv was: the was only very slow and bad Internet an the was a Tv, you could only watch DVD on. No Free TV. It was sad, because in the time we have been there, we wanted to watch european championchip, what was not possible. But the Owner told me, that they are about to get better Wifi, but they do not know when. All in all, I can recommend the house. An Normandy is always worth a visit.

Happy you found the house clean, big and comfortable.
For the driving It really depends what your kind of holiday is. Usually our visitors enjoy thé places closeby. Many beaches that all have a different style (veules, veulettes, saint-aubin, varengeville … between 10 and 25 minutes drive) most of them with sailing activités, castles (Mesnil Durdent and Galleville less than 10 minutes), many hiking trails along the coast, and lots of activities less that 10 min drive like golf practice, tennis court, horse riding, tree parkour (accrobranche), etc. I would not recommend our place to visit the Mont Saint Michel as you did and I told you It was far away :)
The wifi is not the wifi of a big city, sure !.. For the TV Indeed you need to use our laptop to send the show on our large screen until It is repaired and It works fine. it is a pity you did not tell me you had a problem with It as i would have handled it for you.
Très bel endroit, proche de la côte, de visites à réaliser. Nombreux jeux et livres disponibles dans le gîtes.
Les légumes proposés par les propriétaires étaient parfaits.
