The hot tub was very enjoyable, sat out there every night and listened to silence. Nature is a beautiful sound.Full kitchen and grocery store close by, but tons of places to eat if you don’t want to cook.I bought a book ( sitting pigeon forge and Gatlinburg 2026, had easy info.But go eat at old mill restaurant on a weekday for lunch, super busy evenings and weekends.

A great quiet hideaway but close to all the conveniences. If you need a wonderful home to unwind an just enjoy the nature around you this is it! This is our 3rd or 4th time here! A lot of nice upgrades and very spacious! I would highly recommend!! Looking forward to next year!!!

Our host was very accommodating. The kitchen needed some potholders and the downstairs bath desperately needed some type of shelving, lock on the door and window coverings. I think it would be very nice if you would provide more towels. We only had three. I understand you don’t provide them, just saying it would be very nice if you did

We were so impressed with The McCarty House! Beautiful surroundings and so convenient to all of Gatlinburg’s amenities. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the mountains.

I’ve been vacationing in Gatlinburg my entire life, and this was by far my favorite place I’ve ever stayed! If you’re a mid-century enthusiast, it’s a must! I love how the owners have kept all of the vintage charm. The wooded lot is lovely. It feels so private, yet you’re a 5-10 minute drive to everything. The beds are super comfy and the hot tub felt so nice after a long day of hiking. Already planning another stay at the McCarty house next year with some girlfriends!

Gorgeous Cabin!

This place was gorgeous! I felt like I was staying in a mid-century treehouse. The back of the cabin is all floor to ceiling windows. A great option if you are looking to visit Gatlinburg while also staying in a stylish place!

Great MCM cabin!

This is a beautiful mid century modern cabin tucked into the Arts & Crafts district of Gatlinburg. It was cozy and quaint with a wonderful wall of windows looking into the woods. The architecture and decor is perfect for any MCM enthusiast.

Beautiful, interesting, inspiring, secluded, peaceful, quiet. Has three balconies. We used the outdoor grill and hot tub. Was a little rustic for my spouse but it grew on her. Only a short distance from Smoky Mountains National Park and the crowds and diversions of Gatlinburg.

Daughter's Birthday Weekend

The McCarty House was wonderful! I took my daughter and some of her friends for a long weekend to celebrate her birthday. The cabin was perfect in every way. The owners did a wonderful job creating a great family get-a-way. They have historical information on the property and the property manager; Travis keeps in touch every step of your stay. Together they provide a wonderful experience! The rooms and decor are very relaxing, and the kitchen is great! The view from the decks were also amazing. If you are going for relaxing and reasonably secluded, this is the place!

Amazing place to stay

This cabin is a must. Great view of the wilderness. Quiet and beautiful home. It was perfect. First time in a while the kids wanted to stay outside vs watching tv. Thank you again. Was an amazing place to stay. Hopefully if the chance comes up we will stay again

Mountain getaway

Home was as listed and owners were available and communicative. Driveway was as noted in other reviews but a fun little adventure on its own. Close proximity to Gatlinburg and many other hiking trails in the Smoky Mountains. Hot tub was perfect late in the evening or early in the morning. History of the property is well represented and Popcorn pics throughout the home were a fun bonus.
