Wonderful Apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and another couple stayed at this adorable apartment recently and had a top notch experience. The apartment is located right in the middle of town with shops, restaurants, and anything you would want just a few minutes away. We attended wedding festivities at The Sagamore which was conveniently located a mile or so away as well. The owners Pat and Mike were two of the most delightful people that we have met in our travels. They made us feel at home, and made our stay a 5++++. Pat has a lovely store Lakeview Trading Company which is located below our apartment. She sells all sorts of tee shirts, sweatshirts, souvenirs, gifts, beach bags, and many other items. It was so much fun just going downstairs to do all of my shopping! Her husband Mike has an antique shop behind this store which kept my husband quite happy browsing through all the treasures. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, roomy, and perfect for the four of us. We could not have asked for anything better! My husband and I are already talking about a return trip next year to Lake George and we will definitely stay here again! Thank you Pat and Mike!

The property could not be in a better location.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our three teenage sons absolutely loved staying here! The living area was spacious enough with one bedroom large and comfy enough to accommodate three boys and another separate bedroom for my husband and I. The living area and kitchen were adorable and just perfect for our crew and the amount of time we expected to be in the apartment. Our sons were able to roam beautiful downtown Bolton Landing and all of its shops. They played basketball and we all enjoyed the public beach which was just across the street. The location allowed us to walk everywhere we wanted to go (to dinner at one of the many restaurants or to run to the grocery store just down the street). The owners were wonderful! They own the antique store downstairs and were always available and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!!

Nice place, not very secluded

  • 4 of 5

While we loved the location and the apartment itself, it is a little strange that the apartment is directly above their store. It's pretty busy with people coming and going and you have to walk through the outdoor portion of their business to get in and out of the apartment. It was a little uncomfortable for us to try to keep our children quiet so as not to disturb the business below. It's probably mostly me not wanting to be an imposition on anyone than anything. Mike and Pat were very kind and welcoming. Like I said before, you can't get a better location! We were able to walk to the beach every day and the larger beach was less than a two minute drive away. You can't get a better location! Our children loved it! (If you have kids, the veterans park offers TONS of free activities during the week, stop at the community center for details) overall, great area and a nice place to stay.

Owner's Response: The description of the property clearly states the rental unit is a second floor apartment located above the store owned and operated by the landlords. It should not come as a surprise to anyone. Just to be clear, the "outdoor portion" is the antique business which is located behind the building that houses the store and apartment. There are many items outside, none of which are located on the property being used by the tenant. Lastly, the property description also states that the rental unit is located in downtown Bolton Landing which is a busy little tourist town during the summer months. If "seclusion" is what you are looking for, I would suggest you forego the convenience of being downtown and able to walk to everything and choose a rental off the beaten path.

great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

This is a near perfect "retreat" place to stay. Off the beaten path, yet close to everything you need. The only downside for some might be that it's a 2nd-floor apartment, so the steps might be an issue. Other than that, no complaints.
