Why Our home at Williams Lake chose Salmon

It was love at first sight when we found JUMPING TROUT LODGE on Williams Lake. We traveled the western U.S. for years looking for a vacation property, and when we saw Williams Lake, we knew we were home. We love the lake and Salmon River activities such as fishing and boating. We love the uncrowded Salmon area which has the friendliest people ever!

What makes this Cabin unique

JUMPING TROUT LODGE on Williams Lake is like no other place. It is peaceful and scenic. We hope you enjoy using the boats to get out on the lake....3 kayaks,, canoe, rowboat, SUP. We were very fortunate to select Jumping Trout Lodge for our visit to Williams Lake. The accommodations were well taken care of. We even got to enjoy a brand new top of the line kitchen. Not your usual cabin fare. It could be the best cabin on the lake. There were kayaks and a paddle board we could use on the lake. Tom and Roberta, the owners were very welcoming and on the ready if we needed anything. We highly recommend checking out Jumping Trout Lodge for your stay.

                                                              Owner's Response:

So glad you enjoyed our new kitchen! We also think it is beautiful and meets all the cooking needs of our guests.

We agree that Jumping Trout Lodge is the best cabin on the lake and have been told that many times by our guests and neighbors! Thank you so much for choosing Jumping Trout Lodge!!

                                                              Shangri-La

I'm not really sure how we came across this place, but what a great find. Located on a beautiful and secluded mountain lake high above the Salmon River, the cabin is a bit of a dichotomy, offering at once, both a rustic feel yet with finely appointed and comfortable spaces. From the wonderfully modern kitchen, beautiful dining table and comfortable leather couches, to the fun wooden-slab spiral staircase and the very cool (and warm) outdoor shower, the place had it all. The unbelievable outdoor spaces added another level of utility and comfort with a spectacular deck off the cabin that included a gas fire table and an abundance of very comfortable chairs and lounges, then steps down to a fire pit and beach (again with plenty of furniture), and down again to a floating dock with four very sturdy and comfortable Adirondack chairs. Did I mention the rowboat (with trolling motor!), canoe, kayaks and paddle boards? This place has it all! But the essence of course, is the natural beauty and tranquility of lake and surrounding mountains, it's spiritual really. And finally there are your hosts, Tom and Roberta, who are extremely accommodating and helpful. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it without reservation.

                                                              Owner's Response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our property. You have perfectly described the Jumping Trout Lodge that we have created. We agree completely...it is a Shangri-La! So happy you enjoyed! Best, Tom and Roberta

                                                              A perfect Family week

This house had everything you could need on vacation. It was a great week for our family of quality time. No wifi and cell service meant that we could bond as a family with no distractions. The kids haven't had so much fun in a long time. They say it was their favorite vacation ever.

                                                              Owner's Response:

You are very smart to grasp an opportunity for quality family time. We are glad Jumping Trout Lodge met all of your needs. It warms our hearts that your kids' best vacation ever was at our vacation home!

                                                              An Excellent Vacation Spot

I really enjoyed my stay at your lake home. The location is ideal and shady during the hottest part of the day. The flagstone landing makes a pleasant location to pass the time away.

The 4wd driving was excellent as the back county provides an endless assortment of roads to take and discover wild life and scenery. Not to mention access to some promising streams for fly fishing.

The amenities of the lodge were very enjoyable. The outdoor shower was a particular favorite for me. I am contemplating a return trip.

It is great that you were able to explore the backcountry during your stay at Jumping Trout Lodge. We are so happy that you enjoyed the amenities! Hope to see you next year!

This cabin is a little piece of heaven. Off the grid for a week was exactly what we needed. We played games, cooked good food, played in the lake, watched deer as made their way right through the property. My favorite was waking up, sipping coffee on the huge, secluded deck, admiring the amazing view of Williams Lake. Roberta was so accommodating, so nice and easy to work with. Can't wait to return...

What an incredible lake property! Stayed here with 5 women for a girl's trip getaway. Was perfect for us with everything we needed. Kayaking, paddle boarding and lounging on the deck and lakeside. Spent nights by the fire playing games and enjoying our time "off the grid". Our lovely hosts were nearby in case we needed anything at all. The lake is absolutely stunning, you can't go wrong here.
