Family- friendly Rustic Cabin on a Peaceful and scencic Farm

The Texas Cabin is an old rustic barn that has been converted into a wonderful living space. Best suited for 2 ppl or family. It has only one bathroom. Come and enjoy the coziness of the country side along with horses, kitties and chickens, and the farm dogs! Sunset oaks is only 2hrs from the DFW area! Grab a bottle of wine at the local wineries(any and all 3 of them are wonderful!) and let the kids run free!! . The cabin is your typical farmhouse cabin it’s cozy, old fashioned, and no its not updated! The porches however have been updated and the flower gardens! Come sit on the porches and sip on wine! Enjoy sunsets sunrises, night sky, birds chirping and spring flowers!

Social distancing at its easiest! 5 acres of green space for running in freedom and 5 acres of woods to explore! Oh and the spring flowers are popping!! Come back in the fall too for the return of more flowers!

We live on a hill (nice summer breeze) and the sunsets are amazing! Many deer, bobcats, birds and other wildlife is often seen. Please expect some dirt, dust, spiders as this is the country and these are plentiful! We work hard to keep things clean and inviting. Feel free to hike the trails (Pink Rock Trail, Blue Rock Trail, Purple Rock Trail) and enjoy the variety of trees, birds, and wildflowers!!! The farm is amazing!!! We are not the Hilton but I think we are better!! Enjoy!!! Oh no mosquitoes!! I have seen very few!!

Come sit back and relax leave your cares and worries at home! We don’t have WiFi but we have no problem with cell service and many guests use their hotspots. We do have tv and DVD player ONLY!!! Coffee is provided. We do have radiators for heating but we DO a encourage our guests to use the wood stove for heating on cold winter nights. Wood is under the patio! Take advantage of the cabin feel and cozy up!! For hot summer days in Texas the window units will keep the cabin cool but cold. So if you prefer cold cold then the cabin might not be best place for you to stay. We want happy guests!

Please note: the stairs are steep. This is cabin is ideal for 4 people or a family .This is shared property with 2 BNBs. Plenty of space being on 10 acres!!
Charcoal grill is provided for guests for their outdoor cooking. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. Bring your own for the fire pit.

Our guests have their private patio, and brand new balcony with views all to their own as well as a nice green space! Balcony is newly rebuilt!! Come sit in the hammock and enjoy the fresh country air! Multiple spaces for sitting and sipping wine to enjoy the country air! Bring your bikes and take a bike ride on the not so busy dirt(dusty) road!

Please enjoy the chickens, barn cats, (we have kitties!) and the horse, pony and farm dogs! We have Spartan our beautiful horse! And the farm dog, Rosie aka chicken protector! She is very sweet and she loves to smile! And then we have Ranger the howling beagle!! He’s awesome!!!

(We have a sister house(sunset oaks boho farmhouse) it’s on the same property. Please be mindful of noise. We also have a massive covered patio with lights and fans. So gather your family and a long weekend or a week of being together!!!)

We 2nd bnb on the property (BOHO Farmhouse)on the property(gated 10 acres) Feel to wonder the woods of the gated 10 acres. We have created foot paths! (Pink Rock Trail, Blue Rock Trail)So bring some boots!

Guests have their own private patio, wonderful views of the sunsets and have their own green space to throw a frisbee around!

We have window units in each room along with ceiling fans and personal fans.
