Comfortable home with open floor-plan; conveniently located on the first beach-side street just inside the Sea Pines Plantation Ocean Gate; only 1 mile from the Plantation Club and both the Sea Marsh and Blue Heron Golf Courses; and only about 600 feet from the beach. World-famous Harbortown Links, numerous restaurants & shops are less than 3 miles away. For nature lovers and hikers, the beautiful Forest Preserve is only a short 10 minute walk away.

This spacious, non-smoking home sleeps to 13 people, and features a huge two-story great room with wet bar and fireplace, dining area, and screened-in porch overlooking deck, private pool and adjoining wooded area. Beautifully decorated with luxurious appointments throughout.

The home features four bedrooms plus a sleeping loft. The huge master bedroom appointments include a king-size bed, fireplace, Shower/Sauna, futon, TV/VCR and California closets. The second bedroom (2nd floor) includes a queen-size bed, TV and full bath. The bedroom on the first floor features two twin beds and TV, with a full bath just outside the door.

Sleeping loft (in second floor hallway seating area) has a fireplace, TV and two over-sized arm chairs, each that open into twin beds. Fourth bedroom (on third level) has three twin beds with TV; a great area for kids to 'get away from it all'.

Completely new kitchen features new cabinets, GE PROFILE refrigerator, GE PROFILE double oven, cook-top, microwave oven, granite counter tops and glass tile backsplash. Linens, dishes, small appliances and all utensils are included.

The house is 'DOG FRIENDLY' but prospective renters MUST request Owner approval in advance. All pets MUST be fully house-broken and healthy. When the renter intends to bring their dog along, a Pet Security Deposit is required; payable by separate check. IF no pet-related damage is found to exist upon inspection following check-out, the Pet Security Deposit check is typically destroyed without having been deposited, If the Renter wants the check returned, that request will be honored. If pet-related is discovered the Pet Security Deposit will be used for necessary repairs, with any unused portion returned to the Renter. If pet-related damage exceeds the Pet Security Deposit, the Renter must agree to cover any such excess repair costs.

Relax, you're on vacation; but if needed, complete laundry facilities are available.

We purchased this home because of its open floor-plan, comfortable amenities and very close proximity to the beach, all while being nestled in a wooded setting among the beautiful Palmetto trees. Add to that the restaurants and numerous activities available within Sea Pines Plantation, including Harbortown, and you've got all you need for an enjoyable, fun-filled getaway with family and friends.

Another wonderful vacation at y'alls house. Thanks very much. The weather was beautiful! The kids had a great time! (see below a pics of the castle they built that was the talk of the beach. :o) It lasted for days because they built it above the high tide line. ) Pool service was not great-- we had to call as they did not come on Wednesday as scheduled. Otherwise, everything is looking good. Just thought I would let you know that we broke a glass. :o( And that if you ever decide to change your decor in the bar area, I would love to buy your shore birds from you. Thanks again. We may not be able to rent your house next year but we hope to the year after.

What a wonderful home

While the house looked great on the website, we had some concerns after reading some earlier 2017 guest reviews and, before making our rental decision for our family reunion, discussed those with the Owner. In fairness,the Owner offered no excuses and readily acknowledged (and accepted full responsibility for) the issues raised by some previous guests. He did emphasize, however, that all of those previous problems had been completely resolved, a new top-notch cleaning service was hired to replace the previous service that had been found to do a poor job. The second floor ac system was completely replaced with a brand new, larger capacity system. We were assured that our stay would be enjoyable and care-free.

The owner was right. In addition to being very clean, we found the house to be very spacious and comfortable, despite being a pretty big group of 6 adults and 4 kids. We experienced none of the problems cited in earlier reviews. We loved the completely updated kitchen and learned that, just recently,all of the bathrooms had been nicely updated with new vanities and marble counter tops.

This house is located only a short 5 minute walk from the beach, with no busy streets to cross to get there. We appreciated that the Owner left folding chairs in the carport that we could take to the beach, along with games, puzzles and books, etc. in the house for everyone to enjoy on the one rainy day of our stay. We also got a lot of use from the new stainless steel BBQ gas grill.

All things considered, this was a very enjoyable stay in a very clean and comfy place. We can highly recommend this house for families with and without kids. In fact, we are already looking for dates to book the house again next year.

What a great home!!

This was a great rental! It was perfect for our extended family, which included our grown children and our granddaughter. There was plenty of room for us to stretch out, so that even on our one rainy day, we never felt crowded. This home is comfortable yet classy, and the pictures did not do justice to the style nor the size of the property. The location just inside the Sea Pines gate was perfect for us, and the beach (just a few minutes walk) was terrific. Plus, the owner gave us a great tip on a new place to eat that we loved! All in all, a super time!!

Nice and comfortable

We enjoyed every bit of our stay to HHI this September. The house was great for our family . Nice! Plenty of room, very comfortable. Getting the DVD to work was a little problematic, could use a couple new frying pans, and maybe a pie dish, but other than that we loved it.

late summer vacation

overall the house was fine. could use some updates to carpet and fixtures. Third floor bedroom should have a fan due to heat and little air flow. Pool a little on the small side but OK for small group (4-6). Nice master bedroom and suite but dated. Had to call housekeeping back from preceding week to clean a missed bathroom (came first thing next morn.). Owner easy to work with.

Owner's Response: We are undertaking extensive upgrades to the house. The house exterior is scheduled to be painted All bathrooms now have entirely new vanities, etc. with Carrara marble countertops. The second floor hallway carpet is being replaced with hardwood flooring; second floor bedroom carpet is also being replaced. In addition, the couch in the Great Room is soon being replaced, as are the Great Room rugs. And we very recently installed a brand new all stainless steel BBQ grill on the deck as well as a brand new smart TV in the Great Room.

Had several conversations with STEVE the owner.

The unit says sleeps 11. However for,5 days 3 children in the loft and the two upstairs bedrooms were very uncomfortable because the AC tonnage was not adequate. On Wed the AC folks took all day and installed a larger unit. We arrived on SATURDAY? Found out the ductwork was redone a few months ago but the tonnage was not increased! HOT HOT! Plus we found silver dollar size spiders in our bedrooms and on our bedclothes and pillows. 6 that we saw and killed and we forwarded pictures to the owner. The inside of the unit was full of spider webs and apparently were breeding. This unit needs pest control treatment! The gas grill was so rusted and filthy NO ONE would use it. There were rusted paint cans in the garage and broken chairs, surf boards, and floor tiles stacked. The garage was a mess. I did receive a small refund from the owner however it did not cover our inconvenience. I would NOT RECOMMEND this unit to anyone because of the condition it is in. It needs attention and should not be listed until many areas are addressed. The unit could be great but is far short of great now. I hope by our notes the owner will give it the attention it needs. If anyone would. Like to talk to me about these issues please call.

House was very nice and slightly outdated BUT it was very dirty when we arrived

The house itself is very nice but it was very dirty, when I arrived there was a thick layer of dust on everything and cobwebs everywhere we had to spend a day just cleaning the place for it to be livable the pool was also very dirty and the pool crew came to clean and still left dirt and bugs all over the bottom, the skylights barely allowed any light in as they were covered in debris, the house is nice but needs cleaned and renovated, sea pines is a very beautiful location in Hilton head not sure if I would stay here again though

House is available only on a first-come, first served basis.

Renters must confirm that they are no less than twenty-five (25) years of age and are financially responsible for any damage done above normal wear and tear.

Cleaning fees and all applicable fees relative to the house rental EXCEPT VRBO WEBSITE FEES are included in the rental rates quoted.

The Property Owner does not receive any portion of VRBO website fees charged to renters. f you want to reserve the house, when you proceed to checkout on the website, you can opt to pay then ONLY THE VRBO SERVICE FEE. After that, all details, including payment of the actual rental fee to the property Owner, will be handled directly between the Property Owner and the Renter. It is also our understanding that the VRBO fee is refundable by VRBO if, for any reason, you do not actually proceed with the rental.

Sea Pines automobile gate pass fees are not included in the rental fee quoted for the house and must be added to the rental fee. Sea Pines Plantation currently charges $15 per week per pass; rates are subject to change by Sea Pines Plantation without prior notice. Gate pass fees are payable whenever the final payment for the Property rental is made by the Renter.

RENTAL RATES MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

Dogs considered on a case-by-case basis; requires a separate PET SECURITY DEPOSIT. Renter assumes full responsibility and liability for any pet brought to the premises.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
