In the harbor of Nykøbing Sjælland is a fantastic vacation home with 2 floors.
It is particularly well equipped and tastefully decorated. It has been awarded the dansommers rating 'Home with Heart', which is only awarded to particularly cozy houses. In the living and dining room there is room for the whole family. From here you can also access one of the 2 terraces of the house. The house has 2 bedrooms, both with double beds. In one bathroom you can enjoy the underwater massage in the whirlpool. The same bathroom also has a sauna. You can overlook the harbor from the balcony.
The house is heated environmentally conscious and CO2-neutral with district heating. Due to the unique location and the proximity to the city, many beautiful experiences are within reach. On Odsherred you can be active with, among other things, hiking, cycling (the Isefjodsti is 27 km long), golfing, fishing and water sports. The reflecting sunlight of the surrounding Isefjord, the Kattegat and the bay Sejerø bathes the peninsula in a particularly intense light, as hardly anywhere else in Denmark.
On the glacial headland of Odsherred you will feel as if you are in a geopark. On it you will find along the Tumulus Road, with the barrows and burial mounds, witnesses of the Stone and Bronze Ages, the remains of a forest village in Ulkerup abandoned 300 years ago, the Hempel Glass Museum and in the Odsherred Museum the copy of the sun chariot found in the bog Trundholm Mose. You will also see the erratic boulder Lommesten and the castle Næsholm Borg, which stands on a small island in the lake Nygård Sø between Højby and Nykøbing Sj. On Odsherred there is also a nature school that lets you catch seafood, organizes butterfly safaris and expeditions into the forest, and invites you to troll and fox excursions. Hovvig Nature Reserve, a renaturalized wetland, is home to a rich bird life. There are 3 signposted hiking trails in the area. Your children will also be thrilled by a visit to the Odsherred Fire Museum. Nearby, visit Sommerland Sjælland, galleries that are also typical of Odsherreds and Dragsholm Castle from the 12th century. Havnebyen is the only real fishing port with cutters and a small smokehouse.
Even recreational fishermen always get something on the hook here. In Nykøbing Sjælland you can do good shopping and enjoy the coffee house life. Seal safaris also depart from the harbor in Rørvig. From Rørvig you can sail to Hundested, from here it is only an hour's drive to Copenhagen.
