Parsons Riverside Retreat: Steps away from a rolling mountain stream and trails

Parsons Riverside Retreat is a new riverside SMART cabin (2021) located steps away from the beautiful Shavers Fork/Cheat River that will sleep up to 6 people (we recommend a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children). Local activities include hiking/biking, floating, tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, white water rafting, skiing and sledding. We're an ATV friendly town with endless scenic trails through the mountains and national forests that surround us. We're known for five beautiful clean rivers that merge here and host the annual Pickin' in Parson Bluegrass Festival.

The space:
New (2021) 2 bedroom, 1 bath, w/ sleeper sofa, riverfront cabin with an amazing deck overlooking the beautiful Shavers Fork of the Cheat river. This cabin has vaulted wood ceilings, is a clean and cozy space perfect for a weekend getaway, week long vacation or peaceful environment for remote working. We are equipped with a Charge Point level 2 EV charger on property (40 amp J1772 plug) that can be used to charge your EV after a full day of fun and exploration.

Parsons Riverside Retreat is located in the Allegheny Mountains less than .2 mi from the Allegheny Highland Trail that is perfect for a nearby hike or bike ride. Be sure to explore our friendly town and visit our parks which includes a splash pad, skate board park, basketball courts, hiking trails, and civil war battlefield.

Notice:
The cabin is equipped with a professionally monitored security system which includes smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, motion detectors, and door and window sensors. The system also includes four security cameras on the exterior of the home that view the driveway, carport, yard, and entryway.

There is an Amazon Alexa Show located in the kitchen for guest use and SMART home feature control (thermostat, lighting, & ceiling fans). This device does have an embedded microphone and video camera (however we keep the camera disabled/covered). The microphone can also be disabled on the device if preferred (note this would also disable voice control of the property's SMART features).

Each night at 10 PM a siren will go off in town indicating that the curfew is in effect for the youngsters in our community. It's been a part of this small town for many years.
